Favorite Money Saving Tip: Budget:
I use Dave Ramsey's envelope system. Using that system along with the hints and tips from all the great folks at HCW has really helped our budget. Also I need to give props to the HCW Stockpile Challenge thread which has really helped me look at couponing in a whole new way. Give it a try, it's great fun!
Stores I shop: CVS, Walgreens, Krogers, Aldis, and Wal-Mart if absolutely necessary! LOL!
Coupon Organization Method: I keep my inserts whole, file them in ziploc bags by date, and only cut them when I need the coupons. I have a small accordion folder, and I cut coupons I need for each store and file them in envelopes by store and I carry the accordion with me everywhere I go. It is always in my car, and I take it in whenever I shop.
Best Advice to Newbies: Don't give up, because you will definitely will get discouraged at some point. Just keep reading every post you possibly can on HCW, especially the information for newcomers, and you will learn. It is important to start slowly, and not buy too much until you understand what a good deal really is. Every deal seems good in the beginning! Take your time and learn, because the deals will come back around. Also, do not let cranky cashiers or store personnel get you down. Use kindness as your weapon, and sometimes you can end up making friends!
