WOW!!! This is going to be a fun week!!! I think this is about what my shopping list will look like:
(just a quick note, if it looks like I am buying enormous quantities of a certain item, please don't get mad we have a very large family and go through about 3 bags of frozen veggies a day)
100 Bags of Birds Eye frozen veggies - $100
20 Boxes of Barilla Piccolini Pasta - $20
4 Packages Scotch Brite Pads - $5.16
4 Breyer Yogurt Cups - $2
34 Reynold Wrap - using rain check from past week - $34
Price before coupons: $161.19
Price after coupons: $3.19
I'll have to make several shopping trips to Giant Eagle. I would not do this all in one transaction. I have a very nice GE, w/friendly cashiers, but I am afraid if I did this in one transaction, they would stop being nice!!! :giggle2:

I ordered my BE q's on ebay as well.
If you order from a clipping service, check to see if they have any of the Discover coupons available. It will make your order FREE in a sense. Or you can use those Discover qs for your veggies if you can't get enough of the actual birds eye coupons. I guess just buying them one bag at a time. Wouldn't the cashiers love that! LOL!
BTW, shipping at Mycouponhunter was $.75 or more for me. I placed an order at The couponclippers and dede's and also bought the discover coupons.
**okay figured it out. I had added some extra qs and it bumped up my shipping. Silly me. Should have figured it out.
I can't decide how many veggies I need. Do I get more?? :)

I know, IMO GE's site is very misleading - it says "Birds Eye Frozen Foods" in the text next to the picture, so steamfresh veggies seems like it would qualify for that. And if they wanted to be more specific in the text and exclude veggies, only including "Meals for Two", then they should have done so, as they did with the limited sizes they have listed for Bush's Beans, for example.
Shoot, I bought a bunch of those Birds Eye Qs, too...

Does any one know how many of the same coupon GE doubles? Tell me its not just 1.
Depends where you are - around me (in the South Hills of Pgh), I have not experienced any limit to the number of doubled Qs - but then again, I've not used more than, say, 10 in a single transaction.
I've heard others in different regions say that there is a limit of 4 like Qs per transaction, per day, but that this is NOT tied to the GE card (so you could theoretically do others transactions).
It may also depend on whether the store you are considering is a corporate store, or a franchise, as I believe franchise stores have more ability to limit coupon usage. HTH!
Crazycouponlady
09-22-2009, 06:50:48 PM
Century III Giant Eagle has no limit. I've used 30 of the same coupon in one transaction without a problem. However, independently owned stores (like the one by Kennywood) may limit you to a max of three of the same coupons. But, nothing is stopping you from doing multiple transactions at self-checkout with two items at a time. I've done this, because three of the same coupon will get you the blinking "cashier is on the way" message to override it, and I prefer to fly under the radar.
I avoid those limited stores like the plague when it's a cat deal where you need to buy 4 or 5 items to get the cat, though. Easier to just go to a store w/ no limit so I can do all my deals in one trip!

I found some Pillsbury Grand Q's on Ebay. There is $1.00 off any size (makes them free at the store), tho the buying price and shipping are a little high-ends up being $.30 apiece. There is also $.35/1, which also makes them $.30 apiece, plus the $1.50 for the Q's. Either way, not too bad of a deal.

They are in the 2nd of the 3 SS inserts for that weekend - not the GM or the one with the mouse - they're in the yellowish one. They are on the top of the page, and on the back is the 75c/1 Lysol Power (or whatever it is called). Hope that helps LOL
Someone had asked about the discover card coupon a few pages back (getting caught up on the thread - sorry!)- use it just like a oyno coupon. It will need a key at GE to override (it's coded with '992' which prompts for cashiers to manually override) because there is no actual product for the computer to match it up with. So any purchase 2.01$ or more you can use it - just so long as there is some balance to be paid with your discover card. I used it the other day at Rite Aid and paid 5 cents on my discover card...and last night one of my charges was for 45 cents at GE LOL

$2 oyno wyb $10 of the following (all $1 each) ($1.25 shelf = 8 needed IF by shelf)
Snack Pack Pudding

I have 2 IP’s and 2 B3G1’s so since there is nothing else I plan to buy I will probably pick up all 10 for my order and pay $6/10 and get $2 OYNO

I plan to check at SHIM to see if they have a freezer - either that or get rainchecks and get them as I need them.
Cloverleaf Food bank located at St Elizabeth Church in Pleasant Hills would take them. They are open on Tuesdays, but if you call the church they might work out time for drop offs.
I've given them tons of health and beauty stuff from CVS sales

Crafton United Presbyterian (412) 921-2293They will take the frozen foods for their food pantry. The church does wonderful work in the community. They take health and beauty aids. I gave them a lot of the glucose meters for their newly grant funded home visiting nurse program. They can use anything you want to give them.
But I did call and talk to my buddy Kathy over there and she said they would welcome any foods, frozen or otherwise. thanks for considering donating to ANY shelter or charity. pam

Do you HAVE to use your Discover Card, or just show that you have one? We balance transferred at a low rate and are paying it off - new purchases are at a higher rate and get paid off last. Would love to use the coupons, but don't want to have to put anything on the card, if that makes sense.

At my store most cashiers are checking to make sure you are using your Discover card. The front end manager told them to ask if anyone uses one, and most of the times if they don't ask, the person with the key asks.

I got mine when I bought FIVE (5) of the birds eye veggies - I mixed up the steam fresh and the regular ones.
I did three separate transactions to get my fifteen in bucks. Last week it didnt trigger when I bought enough for two offfers. It is not in this weeks sales flyer on any of the steeler items.

Its true!!! My Dad was going to Giant Eagle tonight and I asked him to check the sale end date. He said it was 10-7.

Thanks sqbdew about the BirdsEye veggies.
Question for those: So there are coupons for "variety" which picture the vegetable mixes, and for "lightly sauced", but those as well as the single vegetable $1 ones all get the Steelers bucks, correct?
I picked up a perscription tonight (one of the free antibiotics, that was nice) as well as a few needed items. The coupon fairy had been at GE and left me two that I could use, AND someone left a Steelers buck $5 coupon in the handheld basket! SCORE! What a nice trip.

I've been getting the following:
2 college inn broth cartons - $4 (minus 2 .50/1 q's)
5 cans of veggies - $3.75 (minus $1 q)
$7.75
-$2 for broth
-$1 for veggies
-$2 for cat
$2.75
each time I've gotten a $1/1 Swanson carton broth cat which I'll save for later

Yesteday's Red Plum in the mail has a .55 Eggo Waffles coupon making them .15 each. There's also the $2.00 off fruit when you buy waffles coupon in the Fuel for School pamphlet.
Yesterday's Red Plum also had a $3.00 off 1 Snuggle coupon.
Didn't want to junk up the board with alot of thank you's previously but appreciate the early ads and the match ups.
Today is the last day for the $10 Fuel for School rebate I have. Does anyone know if you can sent them separate receipts or if it has to be all on one? Thanks.

I went today and got my last 10 cans of Del Monte green beans, 4 more boxes of Barilla Whole Grain, and 4 boxes of Reynolds Wrap with my raincheck from last week. I also needed mushrooms.
Used my $2 cat from the last 10 Del Monte, got another one, and my total was $6.02. I love it!

I finally got a chance to shop this sale today *gasp*. I have had doctors appt's like crazy and I am ALWAYS tired. Picked up 40 cans of veggies and 50 tic tac chills. As I was checking out the lady that orders the candy was walking around looking at the stuff she needed to order so i pointed out she may want to order some more. I don't think they were a big seller b/c I had to LITERALLY wipe dust off a few boxes. She laughed and said I keep her busy! LOL I was hoping to do some CBD and hunts but i didn't have time in between appts today to even think about it. Hopefuly this next sale I will be able to shop more. I am trying to stock up on things we use often since the baby is coming in the middle of winter. The less I will have to get out the better!
