there are limits on the amount of meds with psuedoephedrine(sp?) in them. however there are typed of sudafed that do not have psuedoephedrine . I think SudafedPE is one that does not contain that, and you can buy as much as you want

Yep I did a little research and your right Sudafed is behind the counter and you ask for it (and you give your name and could only buy a small amount)...the PE is on the shelf and i could buy as many as i want.

I edited my original thread to Sudafed PE --- no meth making here!! :hysterical6:

Thanks for the help guys!!!

Revlon Nail Polish $3.99 w/$3.00 ECB (limit 6) Use $1/1 any Revlon Color Cosmetic cpn from 9/13SS = Free +.01 overage.

Doing all 6 of these at once would put you just under the $25 mark to use the Flu $5/$25 and turn this into an even better MM. Of course we will then have an $18ECB to spend and I know that can be hard. These will be great stocking stuffers.

[quote=isis;2039706]In the Ad-Scan that Swtchks posted, I don't see listed in the OP is --

Revlon Nail Polish $3.99 w/$3.00 ECB (limit 6) Use $1/1 any Revlon Color Cosmetic cpn from 9/13SS = Free +.01 overage.

Won't the Revlon coupon beep??

Nailpolish is a 'color cosmetic item' and I've had no problem using that coupon in the past. Sometimes the revlon coupons have nailpolish as one of the pictured items, so I keep an expired one in my coupon file in my purse to show the cashier in case of beepage (which does happen w/revlon coupons from time to time)

Free Nail Polish and $10 in ecb's from monitors. Hmmmm deals are getting skimpier and skimpier.

Can someone tell me about the Benadryl Deal. I didn't read about it in this thread but someone casually mentioned it in another thread...can't remember where??? TIA!

Hi Benz1968 :wavehi: I was the one talking about the Bendryl deal. We have to have it in our house! The deal is buy $20 worth and get 10 ECB. Liquid children's Benadryl is $5. There are other types of Benadryl and some other medicines included in this deal in the ad, but that's what we use.
$20 - 4 Benadryl 4 oz each
$7.98 - 2 nail polishes
Total $27.98

Less
$5/$25 - flu quiz
$4 - 4 $1 Benadryl mq
$2 - 2 $1 Revlon mq
16 ECB

OOP $0.98, get back 16 ECB. Of course, if one does not have the flu quiz coupon, the OOP might be higher. I thought it was a good deal for 16 oz of Benadryl even if the OOP was higher. I personally plan to use $5/$25 and $4/$20. Need to stock up!

I think maybe you're referring to the spend $20 get 10 ECB Johnson & Johnson deal. It includes Benadryl, Tylenol, children's Tylenol, Pepcid, Zyrtec and a bunch of others. I saw it mentioned on the first post of this thread.

If not, that second coupon is going to beep (at least it did for me on this week's $1.99 sale) because it says "one coupon per customer." I didn't notice that and when I tried to buy two like products in one transaction, the second coupon beeped.

I recieved a 1.50/any pain reliever excluding bayer/aleve today at the CVS printer. This will go nicely with the Johnson medication deal.

I forget-- can one use this coupon along with a X/XX or is that a no?

Either way, if one has the $3/2 J & J blinkies, they should work for this deal. They often beep, but my store usually puts them through since the wording says any J & J products and the last official word I saw here was that it was ok.

I plan to do this:

4 Benadryl - $20
1 Revlon nail polish- $3.99
1 Tone soap - $1.88
=
25.87
-
$5/25 flu quiz coupon
$6 (2 x 3/2) J & J coupon
$1 Revlon coupon
$1 Tone IP
$12 EBs
= .87 (+ tax) OOP

Get back $10, $3, $1 EBs (and whatever quarterly earnings).

Just wanted to give everybody a heads up about the Colgate 360 toothbrush. Make sure you get the ActiFlex. I accidently got the 360 Deep Clean and it rang up as $4.59 with no ECB. Ouch! That's wayyy too much to pay for a toothbrush in my opinion!

DO you think for the Buy $20 get $10 ECB that only the 24ct zyrtec will work or will all sizes of zyrtec.

I just got back from CVS. The new ad is up. I scanned the 14ct, 30 ct, and 45 ct, and the only one on sale was the 30 ct. So I guess the other sizes don't work.

It works perfectly, get one Viologie, one Fruitopia. The Fruitopia rings at $2.49 and comes off as the free since it is the lower priced item. The Viologie rings at $3.99, so they are both free plus one cent to boot with the two $2/1 CVS coupons.

Question... I have a CRT for "Buy 1 full size Viologie get 1 free. Up to 3.99 value." Can I use this coupon with the bogo sale and get 2 for free? I have used manufacturer's bogo coupons with their bogo sales with no problem. I've never used a CRT bogo like that before, but I'm thinking that should work just the same.

Update: I tried it this morning and it worked! I got a shampoo and conditioner, both free!

Yes, it works very nicely!

Tonight, I got the Fruitopia & Viologie, and 2 packs of nuts, nothing else. That left me at -$0.03. My cashier refused to adjust the coupons. She said I had to buy something for $0.03 or she would take off one of the $2 coupons. yeah, ok.

So there were a few things on clearance. So I picked up one of the trial body washes, and asked if it were $0.25. She said "yeah, but you only need $0.03." So I asked if they had anything less than $0.25, she just shrugged.

I'm having some trouble with this deal. The Benadryl is shown in the sales paper as a qualifying J & J product. When I went in last night to try this deal (no sales paper in hand, just a written list), the Benadryl lists McNeil as its distributor with no mention of J & J anywhere on the box. The reason this matters is because my $3/2 J & J coupons always beep even on the things that are labeled J & J, and I don't know how to go about validating this deal to store staff. My manager guy is always super nice and willing to work with me and even helped me hunt around last night for a J & J labeled box to use with the coupons which he approved, but no. The only ones labeled that way are Benadryl creams and they weren't scanning at sale price (and I really need the pills anyway).

Any suggestions? Now that I have a sales paper, should it be enough that it illustrates Benadryl as a J & J product (realizing MMMV, but I'm really looking for suggestions on how to try to do this)? I really, really want in on this deal if possible.

To all of those dependent on Benadryl, I would strongly suggest that you try nasal rinse (Neti Pot). Comes in children's version too. Most that have tried it, swear by it.
On-sale at Walgreens this week, for about $2.50 plus tax, after coupons. If any one of you is among the unfortunate few that won't benefit from it, at least the price is right for giving it a try. But if you ARE among the majority that DO benefit, imagine the savings... AND the comfort!

We do have a Neti Pot. I agree that it rocks. We give Benadryl to the dog.

Has anyone else used the $3/2 J & J with Benadryl on this deal?

Also, I have a raincheck for the CVS fish oil from a couple of weeks ago when it was B1G1 1/2 off. J&J owns mcneil. Click on consumer health companies and in a pop up window it shows up. Company Structure - Johnson & Johnson (http://www.jnj.com/connect/about-jnj/company-structure/)

They make stuff under many names. I haven't used the $3/2 j&j items coupons on those items myself though. I used them all up on bandaids and first aid kits. There are also specific motrin, tylenol and benadryl coupons out but I know the $3/2 is a bit more off.

If it's in the paper with pictures or brand names and the off chance it doesn't work the cashier will force it, don't worry about it. You should be able to use the coupons because it shows J&J items.

That's a good idea to carry the expired Revlon q, I found one last nite while cutting out another q. I bought 6 of the nail polish, the current Revlon q beeped, the cashier looked at it and pushed it through. I didn't have to show her the expired q that does show the nail polish, however I did notice when I compared the two that the upc was slightly different. I think it's a valid q to be used on the polish so I didn't have any qualms about using it.

My guess is that the subtotal was already at $0.00 and the tax was more therefor your coupons beeped because the tax cant be paid.....

It did not work for me today.

I tried this exact scenario, using only one RIB Q, and the cash beeped saying I exceeded my 3/15 or 5/20 coupons- a new one for both me and the nice cashier who always tries to push things through for me. We both couldn't figure it out and it wouldn't let her reduce the value of the coupons.

There was a long line or I would have tried to do just the shampoos with 2 $2RIB Q's... but seeing as she had spent so much time with the first transacton I didn't even suggest it. I will try that tomorrow unless someone else has already tried this (or some other way to get 2 free shampoos and can report?

UPDATE: Went back to CVS tonight and purchased 1 Viologie, 1 Frutopia and 2 nuts. Used 2Q for Viologie, 2Q for Frutopia and 2Q for nuts (which was reduced to 1.97) and oop was $0!! That is unheard of here in Southern California where tax is usually 9.75% on everything. Guess the $2/10Q was the issue...

My theory is that when the cashier hit total your total was only $7.95 (remember the Frutopia comes off as the b1g1 -$2.49) so you needed a CVS brand filler of at least $2.05 to be able to use the CVS brand $2/$10.

Shouldn't the second 2 ring up at 4.25? (8.49/2 for BOGO 50%?) What is ringing up at $4.30?

If you are near a Kroger, they are BOGO free at my Kroger and priced 8.49. So a money maker there.

Yes, this is exactly how to do it! One of each product, one of each coupon, plus something else to cover the $0.01 overage. (Some stores may not make you buy anything extra, but mine does.)

I am so frustrated with my CVS! I went in there today in a hurry and 1/2 the stuff I had planned to buy wasn't marked as a sale! I bought it anyways, but I really had to watch and make sure it all run up right, which can be difficult when they're scanning faster than you can unload your cart.

Is anyone elses store like this??? Why aren't they marking all their sales?? Revelon sale wasn't marked, Colgate toothbrush sale, Candy, etc.

I run into this a lot too... I just grab a flyer when I walk in the door so I can make sure I am buying the right stuff. And I add up my total in my head so I know when they tell me the oop whether it's right or not.

It didn't work for me; the second coupon beeped and the cashier wouldn't put it through. I had a dollar's worth of tissues also and used no other coupons, so I'm not sure what the problem was. I would love to try again if I knew it would work!

the coupon says ONE PER CUSTOMER... so when it beeps the screen says coupon has already been used.

Does anyone know if trial size Dove products would count for the Spend $20 get 10 EB? I didn't realize that body wash was only priced $6.50 at my store, so I only have $19 towards it. Thanks!

Yes, but I used 2 different RIB coupons for 2 different shampoos; one Viologie and one Fruitopia, like other posters have said worked for them. Trust me, I wasn't smart enough to come up with this idea on my own, LOL! (Not 2 Fruitopia coupons for 2 Fruitopia products.) I'm just wondering why it works for some people and not for others. I guess some cashiers just push it through.

I think it is very possible. I have seen trial size products part of recent similar deals. I'll probably be going to the store within a couple of hours, I'll try to remember to look for you.

[quote=magnum30;2045826]

When I went to the cashier I told her I wasn't sure these q's (Revlon) would work but I still want the polish either way. She scanned them and then hit a bunch of stuff on cash register. I assume she was "pushing it through" although I didn't ask her to.

Just to let you know it is worth a try.

Well, I went and checked out the trial sizes and they weren't tagged. Right after my original post I looked at the ad, and it said only the dove items pictured were included in the deal. Sorry:sad:

Just a heads up. The $1 off any Revlon Color Cosmetic ( I think SS insert Q) would not work at my CVS today for the nail polish. Beeped and would not take.
:shrug7:I had the same issue yesterday. The woman that rang up my 4 nail polishes was one of the managers, and when it beeped she wouldn't take it.

The revlon coupons ALWAYS beep. It's because of their product coding. I suggest grabbing another revlon item pictured, having them try that and show them that even what is on the picture is going to beep. Nail Polish IS a color cosmetic.

I'm wanting to pick up some of the Purex sheets. Does the $5/$25 coupon count the bogo item as original price, or as free?

i.e. if I buy 2 boxes of purex sheets @ 8.99 and BOGO, does that count as only the $8.99 towards the $25?

I'm thinking pick up 4 boxes, with 4 IP $1/1 coupons. If the 2nd and 4th boxes don't count towards the $25, then I'll have to come up with $7 worth of stuff to add in.

The free items don't count, so you'll need to get $7 (actually $7.02) more to reach the $25 mark.

My store doesn't carry the 8.49 Ester-C (SAD) so:

2 Ester-C 11.49 BOG0 50%
2 Breeze2
3 Relvon nail polish
1 Sambucol

used:
2 5.00 Qs for Ester-C
2 Qs for the Breeze2
3 Qs for Relvon
5/25 CVS Q
17.50 ECBs OOP 47 cents. Recieved 19 ECBs back.

I got an extra $1 ECB today!

I didn't read all the replies, so sorry if someone else already posted this. Today I went to CVS and bought one two pack of Tone bar soap, Mango Splash. It was pictured in the ad as part of the Tone and Dial deal. It wasn't marked on sale, but I scanned it before I bought it using the self-scanner. It was $1.88. I used the $1/1 printable Tone coupon from the database. It generated two $1 ECBs! I was only expecting one.

So, the deal for me was:
TOTAL:
SALE: 1.88
MQ: $1/1 Print Your Coupon (http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qhzidyu2666847&bt=vg&o=58356&c=DI&p=XBTHqZap)
ECBs Earned: 2 x $1
MATH: $1.88-$1.00 Q-$2 ECB=-$1.12 ($1.12MM)
