View Full Version : Overrides not doubling?!

Went in tonight and got 8 packages of the Birdseye lightly seasoned veggies that are b1g1 free. The .50c MQs beeped and the manager had to come override. Well, they don't double and the manager says "really I'm not suppose to even take a coupon if it beeps". Hmmm, yeah ooook. I should have just told him to take all 8 bags off because .83c per bag is not the best I can do, but we had been out for 8hrs today and were tired. This isn't the first time I've noticed this but tonight I spent $4 more than I should have (or feel so)......... Has anyone had this happen and had them correct it so it does double?

Overrides will double if they are entered correctly....emphasis on correctly. I don't know why Bi-Lo has become so difficult with their coupon policies. If they just manually enter it as a generic manufacturer's coupon, it will not double. But, there is a series of keys that they push so that the coupon will double correctly. (Don't know exactly what that is but it's there....) Personally, I would take the receipt back into the store when that particular manager is not there, explain the situation and ask for my money back. I've done it more than once.

I've had the same trouble with the Birds-Eye a few months back. I would love to go in there and pick some up but I am worried about the trouble.. Are they really eighty something cents? There is no reason that coupon should not double. I would take it in and ask a manager.

They would have been .33c had the coupon doubled. I'm new to this area and haven't got to know the managers yet. I sure miss my old Bilo where the manager was so friendly..... I'm just not sure how to argue this one out.

would just go in and say "My coupons didn't double." Start there, if they ask what they were on tell them Birdseye.They shouldn't need to know anythihg more than that other than the coupon did NOT state DO NOT Double, so it is well within their guidelines to accept it.

Specifically the hefty is sometimes a DND 9 I have noticed. There is a sugar one that is too.

Hey momabrown3! I moved from Asheville in July to Old Fort so this was at the Marion store. I sure do miss the Bilo you're talking about. The lady manager there was so sweet and was always helpful. Boy could Marion sure use her! Lol..... I haven't found either manager that I've met in Marion to be too nice. One got snippy with me at UScan for doing the Velveeta cups 2 at a time (they were not busy) when there was a $1 catalina. Though she did apologize when she finally understood I was rolling the cat into the next two. Now this guy! Geesh!

A coupon entered as a vendor coupon always doubles. Son works there and knows this but I am not allowed to go out through his line. I am sick of Bi-Lo doubling sometimes and others not too. Even Fuel Perks doesn't always make it worth the hassle.

I knew you moved from one of your post.You are lucky you got the u-scan.I miss mine not having the u-scan.Faye is the greatest about fixing my coupons.She is so nice because she uses coupons also.There are a couple of the night cashiers that use coupons.Ht has gone down hill bad,They are getting so nasty about coupons.I only went 3 days for triples.It was bad.

Ok, got a update....... I went in Bilo today to get a few things and talked to a manager (well she was filling in from another store). I showed her my reciept and an extra coupon like the one I had used. She refunded my $ for the undoubled portion. Told me that Bilo has redone their system due to people using multiple coupons on one product (how in the world does that happen?????) and there's a few glitches still being worked out. Thanks everyone for you replies!
