Here is what I did today to roll some of my RR before they expired:
#1
Bic Soleil Razors $4.99- used $3 MQ and $1 RR—spent $.99 and got $1 RR
2 Aussie (mousse and gel) $5.98—used $2 off 2 MQ and $2 RR—spent $1.98 and got $2RR
1 Walgreen Activity Book (for the coupons) $.99 and great filler!
Total spent with tax $4.80 and received $3 in RR

#2
Aquafresh Iso-Active paste $3.49—used $1 MQ and $2RR—spent $.49 and got $1.50RR
2 Crest 6.4 oz toothpaste $4—used 2 $.50 MQ and $1 RR—spent $2 and got $2RR
Need fillers for 3 items and 5 coupons:
Bought 4 Butterfinger bars using in-ad Nestle coupon $.49 each (only needed 3 I think)
Total spent with tax $5.21 and received $3.50RR

#3
2 Aussie (shampoo and cond) $5.98—used $2 off 2 MQ and $2 RR—spent $1.98 and got $2RR
Total with tax $2.46 and received $2RR

So, now I have a $2RR from Aussie and the $1.50RR from Aquafresh. I think I will roll that into crest or Oral B.

I made a quick stop in this morning before work to grab some more nail polish and I ended up getting

4 All Liquid 3x concentrate detergents for $1.79 ea. - $7.16
2 Therma Care Heat Wraps $2.49 ea. - $4.98
Aussie Shampoo - $2.99
Sesame Street coloring book - $.59
3 Sally Hansen Nail Polish - $7.47

I used the Sally Hansen RR I had from a previous transaction (earlier in the week) plus 2 $1 coup. and then did seperate transactions and used the RR I received and ended up with an oop of $3.23 and another $5 Sally Hansen RR. not the best, I know, but good for me! I haven't been doing to much for whatever reason lately so this is me jumping back in!!

Okay, I am embarrassed to admit that I went to something like 8 Walgreens stores yesterday, albeit on my way to somewhere else. On I think my 7th stop (I think) I hit the motherload:

Clearance tylenol cold day/night head congestion 24 count on CLEARANCE for $1.87 PLUS I used either the
$1/1 healthy savings booklet OR
$1/1 manufaturer's online printable AND got a $5 register reward for purchasing 2!

I scored 8 boxes, yahoooo! A MONEYMAKER!

I didn't have the guts to try and use the healthy savings booklet $1/1 and manufacturer's Q to see if I could, since I had to do at least 4 different ransactions in the store and didn't want to cause any problems. They also had a LOT of clearance items including:

Kingsford charcoal for $1.62,

Contact lens saline for $0.79,

Pur water flavor cartridge refills for $3.00 and

A lot of clearance ink for $2 which I use to refill my own color ink cartridge even if its not the same type of cartridge (I just figure out how to get the ink out, albeit messy but a HUGE money savings for me).

Happy WalGreensing!

I have learned SO much from Walgreens threads & all contributors!!!! I went this morning and spent 4.65 on candy bars (couldn't find anything lower than .59 other than a really funky looking salt shaker in the shape of a fish) and saved 69.66. Fabulous checker, very sweet and patient (store was devoid of people as it was 8:00 am.) Here's what i got;
3 fusion razors (one for so, 2 for bil)
3 lotion (donating to women's shelter)
3 dentek (donating to women's shelter)
2 halls (donating to women's shelter)
Thank you!!!!!

Ok - so to begin with I had $7 RR and $8 RR I had to roll -

Transaction 1

3 Theraflu @4 = $12 - $6 WAGS Q = $6
1 Dentek @$2 = $2 - $1 Q = $1
subtotal = $7 - $7RR + 0.60 tax = 0.60 OOP
(generated $8 Novartis RR and $2 Dentek RR)

Transaction 2
1 Vaseline Lotion @ $6.99 - $1.25Q = $5.74
1 oral b advantage @ 3.00 - 0.75 Q = $2.25
1 clearance/filler pencil @ 0.25 = 0.25
subtotal = $8.24 - $8RR + .77 tax = $1.01 OOP
(generated $7 Unilever RR & $3 P&G RR)

Transaction 3
3 Theraflu @4 = $12 - $6 WAGS Q = $6
1 Halls Refresh SugarFree $1 = $1
subtotal = $7 - $7 Unilever RR + 0.53 tax = 0.53 OOP
(generated $8 Novartis RR and $1 Cadbury RR)

So when all was finished I was left with $22 in RRs - so that was an increase of $7 of RR's (from my orignial $7RR + $8RR = $15 RR).
and an OOP of $2.14 -
Making the end result an overall profit of $4.86!!!
I was so pleased because we always use Theraflu in the winter - and, of course, we use toothbrushes and dental floss - so to essentially earn $4.86 "buying" those items felt so great!!

good luck to everyone - I will be back to WAGS as soon as i get a chance to roll those RR's!

If the gum RR you are talking about is the Trident then that is why you did not get an RR for the Halls. They are both made by Cadbury.:whistle67:

I am not a regular Wags shopper, I have been going in one day a week lately, though last week I went on Saturday with time to waste while in Greenville SC then on Sunday only purchased the $.88 sunday paper ($.88 blows my mind! it is $2 in Charlotte!). I had a $3 RR and $2 from the week prior. I actually wasn't planning on getting much but some of us are sick and needed Nyquil and Wags had the best deal!

#1
2 Nyquil
paid $10 something used my FSA card.
Received $5 RR

#2
2 Nyquil

#3
2 Nivea Aftersave Balm

#4
6 Ragu
2 Skippy
used 2 $.40/1 skippy
used 2 $1.25 ragu
Used $5 RR, $4 RR
paid $1.31
Oh yeah, got my $8RR and I still have a $2 one to use... I need to figure out how to get what I want/need and get me back to 6 Ragu and 2 Hellmans. I am thinking I will get the razor and some chapsticks or something...

I added wrong and I should have not used a Ragu Q and used the $2 rr I had handed the kid. He purposely used the Ragu Q since I handed them all to him. Oh and he also tried to tell me I could only use ONE COUPON PER PURCHASE-on the Ragu. I had to explain to him the difference between a transaction and purchase which then drew attention to the fact I was getting 6 Ragu and 2 Skippy for $1.31.

I wiped my shelf clean of Ragu, actually of only the traditional they only had 5....does that make me a shelf cleaner? I mean they are encouraging you to buy 8. I did see they had skippy in 2 spots in the store. I would have gotten more skippy but for some reason I could only find 2 of my 5 coupons I had...

Out of curiosity...

I see lots of people (not just this thread) who post about getting 10, 15 or even 20 boxes of bandaids, 25 packs of halls cough drops etc.

I understand the sense of stockpiling to save up for your family, but I wonder...

Do you really use *all* of those bandaids? I very often find myself picking something up that I would get for pennies or free, and putting it back because I already have so many unopened.

Do you use them all? Save them? Donate them? Put them all on the inside of a poster frame and make a picture?

Just curious:whistle67:

My kids, esp. 4 yr. old goes through a lot of Band-Aids, but I have never gotten 20 bokes at a time.

As far as the Hall's Refresh I am keeping some and giving some to family.

I don't do that great at Walgreens but when I get free/money maker stuff at other stores, if it is something I either don't care for or have way too many of, I donate them. Bandaids, I would probably keep a few boxes and donate though same with Halls. However, my kids (youngest 10) don't go through bandaids like I remember my mom complaining about when we were kids. Nothing would upset her more than needing a bandaid for a true boo boo and we would be out of them because my sister would get the tiniest of of a scratch (wouldn't even break the skin!) and need a bandaid. I find I have bandaids everywhere and we rarely use them and they never seem to be in a box either!

My Walgreens had a TON of stuff on clearance today, 50%-75% off. I picked up a lot of little stocking stuffers, plus some Transformers toys for my guys ($2! and it had candy! lol), but there was also a display thing of Mentos gum marked down to .40 each and there are .55/1 Q's out there, so free gum!

I always thought I was doing very well At Walgreens telling people that I spend less than 5% of retail. About 10 days ago I used all of My RRs to buy something there and decided to start tracking every transaction at Walgreens. The record shows that after starting with no RRs my first purchase was The Dentak floss useing a $1 mfg Q from there and 18 transactions later I have discovered that Walgreens pays me 10% or better to take thing out of the store. I now have $194.xx in product, am holdig $45 in RR and have spent $26 in cash. Since my last post on my page trackin this I have collected anothe $10 in RR and about $60 in product spending only $2 oop. I feel bad telling people it cost me 5% to shop at Walgreens. I sould research my statements better before I open my mouth. They did not beleive me before and I din't think they will believe the new numbers either. I love to shop at Walgreens.

Some of the things I buy in mass quantities when there is an excellent sale (oatmeal, liquid hand soap, mouthwash, bodywash) will definitely be used up in my home. Other things I buy like crazy because they make great stocking stuffers and gift bag fillers (bandagess, cough drops, mini-first aid kits, trial size health & beauty products, candles). Your idea of converting stockpile items into art has some appeal, though. If people stare at urinals and call it art, certainly some masterfully arranged toothpaste would attract some attention.

I had to laugh when I read this post....I asked myself the same thing as I was picking up the 10th, 11th, and 12th bottle of triaminic, cause I was getting it for free after coupons. I came to the conclusion that with one child who has only missed 1 1/2 days of school in the past 3 years I don't need 12 bottles of triaminic. Even if I got it free. So I called up my sister-in-law who has 4 kids and a husband who is constantly bringing home germs from being a cop and asked her if she wanted some. I have decided that if I can't use all of them within 12 months, I don't need that many. I've also decided that if we would never use it at our house...it doesn't matter if it makes me money to buy it...I'm still not buying it.

Not only was there a B1G1 free coupon but there was also a $0.50 WAlgreens coupon for the Ricola. When you use two of the B1G1 and one of the Wags .50 (one will cover both items) you end up with a $1.00 overage. You need to use the B1G1 first in this tranastion to get the overage. Useing that stratgy, some of the RRs I earned this week along with a few other mm out there I bought 15 newspapers for less than $3 oop. You guys are incredible with the WAGS deals. I'll try again. Last weekend I was about to throw in the towel on them because yet AGAIN I had issues with the computer not accepting particular RRs. Suave shampoo and conditioner @$1 ea to help out the really nice cosmetics lady (this month's special for her)

Total retail - $283.99 paid OOP $10.99 ($8.61 of which was tax), used $20 of RRs (a $10 from the Dove Deal last week and a $4 and 3-$2s) and got back $38 in RRs.

I made $7 on $284 worth of products!!! And, I messed up a little and had a few $7.99 mascaras in the bunch rather than $6.99. Oh, and I already had 40 mascaras from deals earlier in the week. Oy.

wow 32 mascaras
how did you do that im new to walgreens plz break it down ...

If you look at the picture you will see a couple of different kinds. 5 of them were paired with the 5 foundations. In most of those transactions I ALSO purchased 2 of the other mascaras which netted $1 profit, making the foundation/mascara purchase cost $9 and get back $15 in RRs

There are 2 different kinds of deals :
Pure Blends Foundation & mascara
One Coat ( b1g1) Mascara.

The pure blends are the one that are shrink wrapped with no cardboard.
The funniest thing is I dont wear makeup. I cant afford Christmas this year so I've been trying to think ahead and out of the box a little.

Huh. After reading yall's brags I feel all piddly about mine LOL!

1 pure blend foundation $9.99
1 pure blend mascara $6.99 (but my store BOGO is ringing up so free)
2 Tag body spray ($4x2=$8)
3 lubriderm lotion 6oz ($3.79x3=$11.37)
2 spider goblets (fillers) (.37x2=.74)
4 candy bowls (fillers) (.24x4=.96)

Subtotal=$31.06

Had $23 in RR from last week (that's why all the fillers, but hey I have black bowls and spider goblets now, my dishes are becoming totally awesome!) after those and $2x2 lubriderm qs+BOGO Tag q subtotal was .06 (but darn IA tax is BEFORE qs so I had to pay $2.23OOP with tax) and got back $25 in RR ($8 Lubriderm, $10 Almay foundation, $5 Almay mascara, $2 Tag spray) Here I was all sad about this week and then discovered those Almay+Lubriderm deals and now all is right with Wags hehe.

I had trouble this evening when I ran up agianst a Lady chcker at Walgreens that thought she was a coupon cop. She did not stand a chance when she ran across me, I came armed with two murses of coupons, $40.00+ in RRs, the Walgreens Corporate phone number and a ego that would not fit in the cart I was pushing. This checker read every coupon, first questioning the Ip coupon for the free Hunts tomato sauce. She tried to tell me that Walgreens did not accept Ip coupons, I simply replied "Yes you do." That may have been the wrong thing to say but I won, she then said the $1 coupon was only worth $0.33 and pulled out a pen to try to write on the coupon. I informed her that it is a $1 coupon and that if she wrote on that coupon it would be worth 0 and we would then need to deal with a manager to get my $1 back. She quickly called a manager which looked at me and my murses then the coupon and then ok'ed the coupon. After scanning the mfg coupons for the Lubriderm I handed the checker my Walgreens coupon for the same product, she once again tried to inform me that it would not work, about this time I was getting tierd of educating this lady on the Walgreens coupon policy and offered to call the Walgreens corporate office so she could get this straight, she passed on the offer and scanned the coupon and it worked. She then quoted me the total and it was over a dollar, I gave her one of those looks like "What are you Nuts?" so we reviewed the receipt as the line grew behind me. Well the cost on the lotinn was $4.29 instead of $3.97, Its hard to admit but I screwed up, but yeah I Did. well I pulled out a $1.00 RR and added one more pencil and brought the total well under a dollar. We finished the transaction and the checker placed all of the coupons and the RRs ($3.50) that I used in the bag with the products I had purchased. She then started to ring out the next customer with out handing me my RR, That won't fly. I informed her that I was to receive a $8 RR and she looked at me like I had just landed on the planet. I could see the RR that had printed but she did not want to give it to me. She grabbed it off the printer and then looked at me and said "I don't think this is right" I informed her that it seemed right to me. She said I don't know... and I then jumped in and asked her if she would like to see the recent letter I received from the Corporate office about RRs. She declined and handed me the RR, I left the store and sat down to add up my profit, I picked up 3 bottles of lotion, 3 cans of Hunt's tomato sauce and two pencils for just under $0.50. I used $3.50 in RRs, 4Mfg coupons and 2 Walgreens coupons which the checker was nice enough to place in the bag with the product I had picked up and to boot I got my $8 RR for the effort. I really can't think of any reason to shop any where else. Walgreens allready pays me to shop and now they are recycling coupons and RR, What a place.

I use ip's at a lot of stores. I did however run into one wags that would not accept them. I called corp, and the policy as of a few months ago was that they do NOT accept them. obviously we run into different "policies" in different stores but that's what corp said.

I, too, think you should have given the coupons & register rewards back to the cashier. If you expect the cashiers to the the right thing, you should do the right thing yourself.

give me a break, If I use the wrong RR to complete a transaction they don't redo the transaction so I come out ahead. I went to the counter well prepared with all of the correct valaid coupons. It is her job to complete the transaction correctly, If she had been a bit more customer freindly things may have ended up differently. I have preformed customer service evalations at Walgreens for several years and I know that the Walgreens checkers are expected to treat their customers with respect by the Walgreens Corporate offices. This Checker acted as if I was taking from her and it was her job to stop it, well we all know that a MFG coupon does not cost the store and infact is a marketing tool put out there by the MFG intended for the use by the consumer to get the consumer to try a product. It is not a checkers job to in any way to try to curb this activity. I do my home work and Infact I am a becentsable educator and tell people to greet your checker with a smile and thank each and ever one at the end of your transaction and expect the same of them. This may seem a bit hard line to some but it is what Walgreens expect of their staff and what I expect when I spend my money, make that time at Walgreens. I needed to put up an extra effort to complete this transaction and earned everything I received. If the checker would have paid attention to job at hand rather than working to stopping me from using coupons to get the best deal possible she may have completed the job at hand correctly.

[quote=nam1958;2118674 . This Checker acted as if I was taking from her and it was her job to stop [/quote]By not taking the coupons back then you made her right. Remember coupons are a form of payment and by walking out with the items and you Q's that is stealing and that would give us all a bad name.

I respect your point of view but disagree in this case. This checker was working to cheat me of what was rightfully mine to use and I have corrected checkers in the past on matters like this even if it did not benfit me. But I will never help a checker to his/her job when they beleive it is their job to stop a customer from getting the best deal they can get for them selfs. That is in fact the reason I use coupons. Most of the checkers I deal with are in fact freindly and would be deserving of a little help in matters like this. I can not belive that this checker was that un educated on the Walgreens coupon policy and if she was it is then the fault of the managment of this store and not my problem. This was not stealing, This employee placed them in the bag and handed me the bag and my receipt and then had the nerve to try to tell me that I would not get the register reward that had already printed for me. She was trying to enforce her own personal opinion on my transaction and failed to relize that what I was doing was not only leagal but repeated by millions of people each day across this country. Growing up I was always told to treat people like how you expect to be treated, I treated this checker better than she treated me, I at least thanked her after my transaction was complete which was a lot more than she intended or did for me.

I would have taken the bag with the merchandise, coupons and RRs to the manager on duty, showed them the receipt and clearly pointed out that the coupons were USED and then RETURNED to you in your bag. I would have then made it a point to tell the manager BRIEFLY what occured and how the cashier PUT the coupons in your bag.

I like that approach and if I relived the experence another time I would like to think I would go that route. I have to admit that it would only be a consideration after having this discussion here though. Thanks

Kleenex Deal-

I stopped in 6 Wags and finally found the Healthy Savings book with the Kleenex Q. NOW FOR THE SPENDING!! Going back to the Wags!
Store 1-Cashier said I had too many coupons. I didn't but on store 3 I found out what the beep was for...85 ct. not 80 ct. Kleenex--left with NOTHING!
Store 2-Cashier wouldn't take 2 Wags Q's for the same item. She said I would have to use the Q from the weekly ad or the Q from the Healthy Savings book.---left with NOTHING!

I'm determined if nothing else.

Store 3-SMOOTH! Chose not to rock the boat with the $.50 Manufacture Q.
Store 4- A little bumpy-I had to bring out the receipt from Store 2 to help the cashier. Used the Man. Q. but my filler was a little high.
Store 5- A little bump-Used the receipt to show again but my filler was much better---the holiday cup and 3 boxs of kleenex=$.06!!!!!:BigHand:

I still have 4 more Q's!!

Ok folks clue me in on the almay deal, I am suppling baskets for 5 families that both my wifes and my office has adopted for the holidays. A couple of the families have teenage daughters and I think the Almay may work well for them. I have tons of personal care products but would like to try to personalize the baskets a bit.

I did great over these last 3 days with all the free RR deals. I was shocked to see how much stock was left this PM when I went in for 1 last run. The great BA let me do 6 back to back transactions as the store was dead. I never do more that 2 transactions in a store but since it was 8pm on the last night of the sale I went for it!!! Got so many great stocking stuffers for the kids and adults at DD's school. AND I have about $30 in RR left to pick up all the last minute christmas stuff we always need. Thanks Wags!!!

I had a very bad experience in Walgreens today. I wanted to use the coupon for $1 off the body wash and a coupon for FREE Olay body lotion WYB body wash. Since they didn't have $5.99 olay body lotion I asked to speak to the manager and see if he would let me use the coupon for $7.99 lotion and whether it would be possible at all. He scanned the body wash and the lotion , scanned the coupon and he said it will be ok. So I continued my shopping. When I got to the cash register I tried to use the coupon for free Olay body lotion and the cashier scanned it and wrote $2.99 on the coupon, which was the price of the body wash.I told her that that wasn't the right price and that the manager scanned everything earlier and said that it would be fine. And then she called over the assistant manager and they said that I cannot get a more expensive item free. I said that the coupon is not for the body wash and they said "No problem we will do it for you this time." I told them that I don't want it (I just didn't want to be involved in any kind of coupon fraud)and took my coupons and left. I shop at Walgreens only once or twice a month, just because they never have items in stock, no Lubriderm for the entire month while the RR's printed, but sure enough this morning 20 lotions on the shelf. Now I think that I'm not going to shop there anymore.
I'm sorry for such a long post, but I just had to share this experience and warn other people who do not have coupon friendly stores.

Rough 2 weeks for me, I did not have any RR to roll into Black Friday to start with so I had about 8 oop for BF. There was no Dove deod at any stores.

Going into this week I had my plan all set (I should have had plan B too) where between the Olay, Nivea, Glade, Pantene and Quaker bars I would only have a couple of bucks oop. I went to three stores before I found one that had any Nivea at all so I had to split my transactions up which cost me another 8 oop. I still have about 10 in RR but boy I feel I lost my touch. I went back late Sunday night to do the Olay deal again and I felt kinda like I redeemed myself that only cost me 1.92 (sales tax is a killer).

I did get
2 Quaker
6 Nivea Lip
2 Olay Body wash
2 Olay In shower lotion
2 Quench lotion
1 Pantene
4 Glade
spent about 8 oop but I get 5 back from Glade too.
It must be Wags syndrome when you spend more than $3 and feel like you spent too much it sure is for me!

I had the best morning this morning! The cashier was so nice. She complimented me on the great deals and was so patient with all my coupons.

I got:
2 gallons of milk
2 packages of Quilted Northern 9 rolls
3 Complete contact lens solution
1 Dentek floss
2 Dentek picks
3 Ecotrin asprin
5 Natrol Acai supplements
2 packages of Goody hair elastics
1 Goody hairband
3 Russell stover chocolate santas
1 votive candle
1 holiday votive holder
3 cookie cutters
1 small beef jerky (a treat for my 3 year old son being so good while we shopped)
Total value: $123.17

My total oop before tax was 3.59, after tax was $8.74 (Cook county IL tax!). I only started with one $2 RR and I have one $8 RR now.

I attached a photo of all the stuff I got. This was better than Wags black friday for me! Thanks to everyone on the site! Before I learned about these deals I paid at least $8.74 for just one contact lens solution!

I had a wonderful day at Wags yesterday. I met the manager at all of the stores I visited and persuded the manager to see this coupon thing my way. I have not been here for a couple of days but I see no mention of the Ecotrin deal at Walgreens this week. The 45 ct. Ectorin normally sells for $3.49 to $3.69 and is on sale for $1.99 with the in ad coupon, there is also coupons for "Advantage products" that include Ecotrin. The coupons are $10.00/3, $7.00/2 and $2.00/1 and they will all work.
I combined this deal with the 4 day sale RR deals and it went like this.
3 Ecotrin @ $3.49 = $9.97
1 Natrol @ $4.00
1 Goody hair acc. @ $2.00
1 Dentek @ $2.00
1 Soft & beautiful Relaxer @ $5.00

I used 1 $10.00/3 Ecotrin MFG
1 $3/00/1 Natrol MFG
1 $0.55/1 Dentek MFG
and the in ad Ecotrin Walgreens coupon

After running the coupons I needed to fill $4.62 wich I filled with Christmas Stocking Stuffers to bring the total up yo $8.00 since I was useing the $8 RR from the complete to pay the bill. I ended up with an average oop of $0.21, with the $8 RR I spent a total of $8.21 and recieved $13.00 in RR in return. In 16 Transactions I made $80.00 in RR. What a Deal, you still have a couple of days to get the ecotrin deal this week. :BigHand:

It must be Wags syndrome when you spend more than $3 and feel like you spent too much it sure is for me!

How did you do the Olay deal. I have been shot down twice at different stores when I try to use the Buy one olay wash and get a lotion free coupon. I want to buy a olay ribbon ($2.99), olay quench ($7.99), get an olay in shower lotion free with quench purchase. The store manager says I can't get two items free when using a coupon but yet they allow you to use a Cover Girl buy a foundation get a face product free on a buy one get one free sale??? :shrug7:Isn't that the same concept? :thanks7:

Did the Ecotrin q beep for you. I have used it a few times but it has beeped each time and they have pushed it through. This is before the wag's q so I don'i\t get it. It also beeped for me at Publix. Any thoughts????

The Ectorin coupon beeped every time I used it and the checker or the manager needed to push it through. I carried a letter from Wags Corp office that stated that it was Walgreens policy to round mfg coupons down to the cost of the product I only needed the leter a few times but talked to the manager at nearly every store. The only time I had trouble wth getting the Wags coupon to run last was at a 24 hr wags at three in the morning. I played the game the first time but the next store that wanted to do it their way "Wags Q first" I declined the purchase and left. I did not once have that trouble during the daylight hours.

You know I think the Olay deal is definitely based on your manager. I did that deal 17 times this week between 3 stores. The first store was way thrilled. My favorite cosmetics lady told me "you just saved my cosmetics counter." I guess if cosmetics don't get enough sales at their counter they are penalized in some way. Anyway. I did the deal 7 times last sunday at her counter. Then I went over and did it 4 more times at another store. This store generally isn't all that friendly but they were great this week. Then later in the week I tried at a 3rd store and they wouldn't let it go. They said I had to buy the $8 bottle of body wash for it to work. So that was no go. Anyway...I now have great products for Christmas for all my son's teachers and saved ton's of money doing it. Sorry to all those of you who couldn't get this deal because of some lame Walgreen's Manager!

I won't detail all my Wags deals the last 2 weeks, but summary is that I have $70 in RRs and only paid tax (which is 6% here unfortunately). And I have my next rounds of rolling ready for Wednesday.

I am loving Wags right now that is for sure.

Wags is putting some deals out there for sure, I went from just under $80 RR to $162 RR in one day and know of a person that started with 0 rr and went to $70 in one day. You think they will make us pay with a RR slump after the 1st of the year?

took my DH to WAGS yesterday to get him to help I had so many offers to get!
Best one was the Schick razers, got 4. One of them was a trimmer and shaver - looks very impressive and would make a great mans gift.
None of the razers were shown as an offer on the shelf - still priced at $11.99 so not many buying them. I would love some more but only had 4 coupons.
Price $11.99
Offer price $6.99
Man Coupon $2.00
RR $3.00
Final Price $1.99

Hope I put breakdown correctly - still a learner.

Finally got something to brag about.
It was Saturday the 5th, at a walgreens I've never been to. They are running a $5 off $20 coupon on every purchase over $20. And the store is the only one within miles that still had packs of Ecotrin. here's what I got:
transaction one:
3 Ecotrin @ $3.49 = $10.47
1 olay ribbon B/W @ $2.99
1 olay bath lotion @ $4.99
1 olay quench lotion @ $7.99
2 Kellogg Rice Crispy @ 3 = $6
Total just under $30

Q's:
1 $5 off $20 purchase
1 $10.00/3 Ecotrin MFG
1 $7.99 Q off 1 Olay Quench
1 $4.99 Olay gift
3 $1.5 in ad q for Ecotrin

OOP .21 + tax (rate is over 9%, which sucks, but not everything were taxed)
(too bad, rice crispy this week is $2, I wish there is something I can do to get some money back!)

Transaction #2:
Military playset $6.99
4 style game $6.99
Jumping monkey game 0.00 (buy two get one free)
One a day women's vitamin 3 @ .25 = .75
Ecotrin 3 @ 3.49 = $10.47
Total: $25.23

Used:

1 $5 off $20
1 $10 off 3 ecotrin
2 $2 RR I got from somewhere
3 $1.5 = $4.5 Ecotrin in ad Q

OOP: $1.7 + 1.42 tax

Trip three I got All clear and free 96 load detergent $9.99, & two soft soap. something went wrong and the softsoap in ad q voided itself immediately after applied. I didn't argue and paid $6. figuring I have to pay them something don't I!

I wanted to get some postage stamp, too bad they don't have any.

The best part is, I have a $20 walgreens gift card - got it free from last month's RR deals. So my real OOP is 0.

Thanks, This board is great!:BigHand:

I just did my first transaction at Walgreens last week using all the items to produce the RR and Holiday Rewards to roll into Huggies this week. I messed up a few times and got frustrated and ended up paying more OOP than I had intended (I did not know about the Holiday Rewards not rolling at first, etc.) Bottom line, this week I created an excel workbook to lay out more than 30 transactions. Bottom line- here are all my purchases from the last two weeks:
12 Huggies Jumbo Pack
6 Stay Free
16 Scotch Packing Tape
13 Jello
5 Mailing Envelopes
8 Ramen Noodles
3 Hairspray
1 Gillette Fusion
2 Neosporin Lip Health
9 Theater Candy
6 Bag Gummy Candy
8 Mars Candy
2 Orbit Gum
2 Packs of Crayons
20 Pencils
20 Candles
2 Large Lollipops
2 Theraflu
2 Colgate
4 Crest Pro Health Toothpaste
4 Crest Pro Health Rinse
5 Touch of Gray
3 Neutrogena Mens Facial Products
5 Twin Packs Renu Contact Solution
9 Complete Contact Solution
12 Speedstick Deodorant
5 Twin Packs of Conair Hair Brushes
4 Olay Quench Body Wash
4 Quench Olay Body Lotion
4 Chinet Dinner Plates
4 Nylons
2 Packs of Envelopes
1 6 pack Charmin Toilet Paper
1 Pack Printer Paper
24 Dulcolax Balance
1 Large Ice Melt
4 Toys
(Picture attached- the toys are hidden for Christmas though)

My total OOP for both weeks was $134 (the value I calculated everything to be though came in at $834). After I do all of my rebates (thanks to a few family members who will be taking care of a few) I will get back $130. Not bad to spend $4 on all this stuff after only doing this for a week. It should last a while- anyone need any Dulcolax Balance? I know I could have kept going, but I have too much going during the holidays to worry about the RR expiring so I just bought the everyday items and toys to finish things for now. New budget money on January 1 anyway, so I will start over again then!

Yesterday was my lowest OOP ever.

I bought 2 Kleenex boxes
.79¢/each - .55¢ manu q exp 1/31/10(handed out at Walmart a few weeks ago)
2 chocolate marshmallows 2/$1 (DD's choco emergency)
1 bag mixed nuts $4. (The bag of nuts where DH's idea. He had dropped me off at Wags, went for gas and came in to find me. I really wanted my OOP to be close to zero. I had a $5 RR to use. So instead of the package of Charmin, I put that back and he got the mixed nuts.)

We go to the check out. DH whips out his debit card. I tell him to hold off swiping it until the cashier puts all the Q's through. He's such an eager beaver with his debit card sometimes.

After all the Q's go through, my total comes to .58¢!!! :hectic1:

DH was gobsmacked. He couldn't believe it. I dig out 6 dimes and get my change.

I tried telling him while we were shopping that my OOP was going to be low because of the $5 RR.

When we got in the car, I said that's the lowest OOPs I've ever had at Wags. And then he asked what OOP meant. :giggle2:

Ok, not as good as everyone else, but better than what I usually do (1/16/09):

6 each 3 pack Bic Soleil Razors - 3 Bogo Coupons/Bogo Sale
1 18 oz Quaker Oats - Sale $1.50/$1.00 printable coupon
1 $1.00 RR

Paid $4.83 OOP. I was a little upset because I had 2 more $1 RR, but the cashier wouldn't take them - said the register wouldn't let her. I didn't feel like arguing with her, and will be the last time I go through her line. There are 2 Wags in town, and I didn't go to the one I normally do because she did this to me at that one last time. I guess they had her working to fill in the schedule.

Anyway, was the 1st time hubby went with me after coming back from deployment. I kept asking him if he was impressed any & he said whatever. I caught him the next day bragging to my MIL, saying I was going to email her & teach her. Umm.....ok?

Total OOP $4.66. Would have been a MM but couldn't pass up on the olives. We eat 'em like candy.

First WAGS trip this morning/noon after I got out of class... SO GLAD there's one on my way home... don't have to worry about a special trip!!!:giggle2:

Still new to all this but I was so excited to get these things!

(2) L'Oreal Everpure UV Protect Spray [clearanced @ 2.24 ea!]
(2) Curel Foot cream [sale 2.99 ea]
(5) J&J trial size baby lotion [.99 ea]
- (4) J&J Qs $1/1
(2) Everpure Qs $2/1
(2) Curel Qs $1/1
$5 RR from Curel products

= $1.80 OOP (Stupid J&J Q!!!!)

I can't figure out why the register wouldn't take 5 J&J Qs. It kept beeping when the cashier tried to ring up the last one, so I just paid OOP.

The J&J Q beeped because you had less than $5 in J&J products. Had you added another J&J or one regular size product and 4 trial sizes, it would've gone through.

I went to Wags one day this week, I had RRs from the previous week but didn't buy much, so I paid OOP and will use all my RRs next week.

1 Pert Plus 2-in-1 Sale 2/$5 - $1/1 Q (1/24 don't remember if from SS or RP)
1 Pert Plus Men 3-in-1 Sale 2/$5 - $1.50/1 Q (1/24 SS or RP?)
$2 RR WYB 2 Pert Plus

Sure deodorant in ad Q 2/$3
1 Sure for Women - $1/1 Q (1/24 SS or RP)
1 Sure for Men - $1.50/1 Q (1/24 SS or RP)

Total OOP $3 plus got $2 RR back.

My husband was with me when we stopped by Wags, so I handed him the same coupons and products and he purchased the same thing, so we did this twice.

Went back to Walgreens yesterday for the last day of that week's sale

1 Pert Plus 2-in-1 - $1/1 Q (1/24 either SS or RP)
1 Pert Plus Men's 3-in-1 - $1.50/1 Q (1/24 either SS or RP)
Sale 2/$5 plus got $2 RR

1 Sure deodorant for women - $1 Q (1/24 SS or RP)
1 Sure deodorant for men - $1.50 Q (1/24 SS or RP
- 2/$3 in-ad Wags coupon

1 Dr. Pepper 12 pack, 1 A&W 12 pack and 1 Sunkist 12 pack
3/$12 plus got $4 RR

4 Tostito's Chile con Queso dip 2/$5 = $10
3 Pepsi 12 packs (ad listed as 3/$12 but rang up as $3) = $9
1 Pepsi 2 litre $1.50
Paid $20.50 for Pepsi products got $10 RR

2 clearance finger nail polishes for my girls, $1.36 each

Total before Q'a and (2) $4 RRs I paid with $52
Total OOP $35 and change, plus got $16 in RRs
I also got another $6 in RRs due to a problem with the pepsi, they were supposed to ring up as 3/$10 so I thought I was buying $20 in pepsi products but when I paid the $10 RR didn't print, reviewing my receipt I discovered they rang up as $3 each, so $9 for 3 so I was $1 short. So she cancelled my order and rang it up again, and I added a 2 litre to put it over the $20 minimum. She let me keep the other $6 in RRs that had already printed for my inconvenience and they printed again when she re-rang the order. So in reality I paid $35 and walked away with $22 in RR's

I can totally see this is going to be an addiction!!!

I have been wanting to try JointJuice for quite some time so i thought why not since its only $10 and you get the $10 RR...went in for that and came out with this...

Joint Juice $10 OOP - $10 RR
Lyspyl Chapstick - $1.99 OOP - $2RR
Vitamin Water Lipgloss - 1.99 OOP - $2 RR
Blink Tears - 7.99-1.50 printable Coupon =$6.59 OOP - $8 RR

OOP=22.42 & RR $22!!! I felt like a kid in a candy store! I went back in later for another reason and used my $2 RR from my Lypsyl to get me another Vitamin water and another $2RR... so basically got another VW lipgloss/chaptick for free! :)

Well just did my first 'real' couponing trip at wallgreens and ended up getting a bunch of stuff for cheap. First of all, I really need to share my thanks to everyone one this forum.:thanks7::biggrin:

In two trips I got:
1 Gillette Fusion razor @ 8.99
2 Kotex Pads @ $6/2
- $4/1 Gillette Fusion Razor, Any
- $2/2 Kotex Pads IP
= 2.05 + tax (no RR should have had $4 + $3 RR and $9 oop)
Seems the registers at the store weren't printing the RR coupons, so the cashier had to manually adjust down the prices to account for them. Good thing I had my flyer with me at the time. Apparently the manager was having to run around the store to each register to cancel out transactions once people noticed their RR's didn't print. So no RR's from this transaction, but saved on tax I suppose

Moved onto another store, (since the other wasn't printing RR's)
1 Dove for Men Bodywash @ 5.99
2 Nabisco Ritz @ $1ea
- $1 Dove for Men Product
- $2/2 Nabisco Crackers
= 5.00 + tax oop $6 RR, $1 profit!

so total $7.35 oop (and less tax than I originally planned).
and have $6 in RR to use.

So I don't know that I'll actually end up eating the crackers, just got it mostly because it was free. Guess I can drop it to a food pantry shelter. Which does lead me to the question, what do people do with the MM they buy but don't intend to use?

But overall it was a fun experience. At the first store I was worried when the RR didn't print, but the cashier was quite friendly and helpful. I feel a bit bad about having to make her go through the transaction three times to get it to work. And I just noticed my $6 RR expires 2/22 so I better keep looking for deals.

Which does lead me to the question, what do people do with the MM they buy but don't intend to use?

awesome deals! Call catalina 1-888-8-coupon to get the RR's that didn't print. Have your reciept handy.

As for stuff i don't use, i always donate HTH:smile:

I just have to give a shout out to my local store - they were so well stocked this morning AND were unloading more as I was getting the things on my list. They had plenty of everything - an heretofore unheard of event.

Even better than that, the cashier (waving madly at JACK the Magical Cashier Who Really Needs A Raise!!!!) was awesome. He was completely un-flustered by my stack of coupons and RRs. He knew all the ins and outs of how to make the transactions work the best way. He made sure each RR printed that was supposed AND changed the paper roll in the catalina machine when it showed the first sign of running low on paper.

Really, I could not have dreamed up a more perfect experience at Wags than the one I had this morning.

I had a total of 15 back to back transactions at the cosmetics counter for the 15% discount today. I couldn't believe

I got:
6 packages Huggies diapers
3 packages Pull-up underpants
5 Dove Men's body wash
9 Valentine's pencils (fillers)
5 Peanut Butter Cup easter eggs (fillers)
4 Garnier Fructis Shampoo
2 Garnier Fructis Conditioner
2 Garnier Fructis Hairspray
2 Gillette Fusion Razors

I spent $46.56 OOP (including $9.33 in tax UGH) used a bunch of RR I had from Kotex and Huggies from the other day (and the Dove from today), and still have $28 in RR to spend from Huggies and Garnier.

My receipts say my savings was: $127.44 :BigHand:

I think today was my best day at Walgreens in a long time.
Started with $18 in RR and a $1.50 coupon for the Dove Men's Body Wash.
Used the 15% Family & Friends coupon for each transaction.

5 Transactions and $20 OOP and I now have $20 in RR to spend! So, I gained $2 RR and bought the following rolling earned RRs when I could:

2 Garnier Fructis hairspray
2 Garnier Fructis mousse
2 Garnier Fructis hair gel
10 Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioners
2 Dove Men's Body Wash
2 Joint Juice
4 dozen eggs

Total retail was $126, so I'm happy with spending only $20 (plus about $5 in taxes).

I got my biggest savings to so far and I dont think I did too bad for a newbie!

In 2 transactions I got

2 packs of Huggies
Super Poliygrip
2 Fusion Razors
4 - 3musketeer bars
4 boxes of Hefty ziploc bags
3 packs of Cascade Diswasher tabs
1 Box of Wylers sugar Free Drink mix
4 boxes of Hawiian Punch drink mixes

OOP = 27.33
Total Savings = 43.90

They were out of most of the RR items I wanted and I did make a boo boo and used my 3RR from huggies on the second pack of huggies so I didnt get the RR for that pack :( I started with 15RR and left with 11.50RR so I dont think I did too bad on that. Ive just gotta work on not getting frazzled when someone gets in line behind me! I hate being a bother to anyone so this is my biggest hurdle by far. Im going to try checking out at the cosmetics counter next time...hopefully I wont be holding up the line that way!

I did get my first "You go girl!" from the lady behind me though and she asked me if I followed deals online or something. I of course told her about HotCouponWorld.com!!! I must have done something right! :)

Today was my first time couponing at Walgreen's. I did 9 transactions. I got...

3 John Frieda Shampoos
4 Fusion Razors
4 Body Washes
8 Crest Toothpaste (a great .30 cent filler!!)
15 boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese
Pringles
Diet Coke
Pudding

I spent about $20 oop and left with $4RR.

Went to Walgreens today for the 1st time in a few months. Did two transactions. On the first transaction the cashier only rang 4 of my Nyquil instead of 5. She pushed the coupon through because neither of us realized what she did until I left the store. This did cost me $5 in RR but I figured it was not worth the 1.20 to go back in and void the transaction and redo it.

All together I got:
5 Nyquil/Daquil
2 Puffs with Vicks
8 Crest Toothpastes
4 3 Musketeers
2 Snickers (fillers)
4 Garnier Shampoos
3 Garnier Conditioners
1 Garnier Hairspray

Total OOP was 16.49 (5.41 tax)
And grew my RR from $5 to $10
Total savings 58.08

I think I did okay considering my first transaction got messed up and threw me off with the RR.

Today was soooo much fun. I started with $12 in RRs (no contour meters last week for me). I paid $3.17 in OOP (on rebate gift card) and got:

(3) Dove for Men
(6) Ramen Noodles
(2) Poligrip
(4) 3 Musketeers
(1) Hand Sanitizer
(1) 2 oz. bag of walnuts on clearance
(3) Bounty (6 big roll = 8 reg rolls) on rain check

I should have only walked out with $4 in RRs, but twice the cashier forgot to push the button for the discount. When she "voided" the transaction to start over, the RR came out. She shrugged, smiled, and handed it to me both times, so I walked out with $12 in RRs (what I started out with) instead of $4.

I got (11) Poligrip this week. Our area didn't get the insert Qs, but a very good friend sent me some. I think I was the only one buying them. The food pantry will LOVE them!!

Had a great trip to Wags on Sunday! Even though the RR deals werent as plentiful I felt really good about my trip!

Started out with 12RR and my binder...

66.12 oop
Total Savings: 133.84
I also got 13.50 in RR

2 - Airwick Kits
12 - 3 Muskateer Bars
4 - Boxes of DayQuil
2 - Tide Stain Release
1 - Bounce Dryer Bar
2 - Crest Mouthwash
4 - Lysol Wipes
1 - Tuf Towels
1 - Suave Shampoo
1 - Suave Conditioner
3 - Venus Razor
3 - Olay Body Wash
4 - Bags of Twizzlers
4 - Bags of Reeses Cups
1 - Fusion Razor

I need to focus on growing my RR in the future so that I dont spend so much OOP. I love the fact that I basically saved twice as much as I spent (a few cents differenece there). Im totally excited and cant wait for the next round of RR's. Im going to see if theres a way to roll any of the ones I have right now with minimal OOP to tide me over until Sunday and make this weeks total even better!! :)

Who knew burning RRs was so DIFFICULT!!!!! I had $120 that were expiring tomorrow, so I had to use them. I didn't feel like doing 500 different transactions, so I just burned them - but boy was it hard. At one point I cringed because I actually bought 2 bottles of vitamins and knew I had 2 $2.50 coupons sitting at home...I could've saved $5!!!! ARGH!!

Anyway, here's what I got (had to go to a 2nd Wags for diapers because the first one only had 1 pkg in DDs size):

2pkg Pampers Wipes 216ct
1pkg Charmin 12rolls
3pkg Pampers Easy Ups
3pkg Pampers Cruisers
1 Secret deodorant
2 Gillette MVP razors
1 Desitin diaper ointment
2 Airwick I-motion compact
1 One-A-Day mens health vitamins 100ct
2 One-A-Day mens health vitamins 200ct
1 GIANT tub of Triple Paste diaper ointment
1pkg Pedialyte powder stick packs
4 3-muskateers truffle crisps
1 Milky Way
6 V-Day pencils
spent $7.34oop cash
spent $120 in RRs
got back $22 in RRs
still had $24.50 in RRs from previous deals
so...I have $46.50 in RRs for next week!!

Not the biggest or greatest, but had to run in because RR expire tonite AND more importantly have no coffee.
Started with $7 RRs and did one transaction.

3 Stouffers Mac & Cheese $4.50 - $1/3 MQ Catalina
2 Maxwell House Coffee $5 (no Q)
2 Crest (Thanks for the heads up) $3.98 -$3 IVC- $1.50 MQ (2)
Total Order: $13.48 + .26 tax = $13.74
OOP $1.24
Received Back $1 RR and $1/5 Catalina for Stouffers.

Was able to use expiring RR, have dinner tonite and have COFFEE for the morning!

Sent DH today since he had to get birthday cards for his mom & brother. I told him to make sure that the cards totalled OVER $7 AFTER our military discount (manager gives it to us any day, not just on Tuesday)...he did great BUT the manager messed him up because she input the full $5.99 for the Purex on the bogo Q instead of the discounted amount...so she just handed him 1 Purex coupon back and said she didn't care:

2 Starbucks frapps
1 Benefiber stick pack
3 Hallmark cards
12 Purex
used 2 $1/1 Starbucks mq
1 Wags IVC Starbucks q
1 Wags FREE Benefiber q from last weeks deal

Would I also be able to use 3 more coupons for the Reach floss for $1.00 off 1, for an overage of $4.02? I know I would have to as many items as I do coupons, but that extra overage would be good if it's legitimate to do.
Last week at Walgreens I purchased 2 Purex 3in1 sheets for $9.00 total, used 1 B1G1 free and 1 $1.00 off 1 ip and I wasn't aware of any beeping so I guess it was legitimate to use both coupons.

Honestly I tried that once and for some reason I did get a beeping sound at my store and that manager told me it's because the b1g1 coupon attaches to both items BUT please try it and if it works let me know so I can give it another try. Also, when you try it let me know how you giving the coupons because maybe you have to give $1/1 coupon first then the B1G1 coupon.....who knows!!!! Overage would be nice to get on this!!!

My store attaches the bogo to both items so it counts as 2 coupons for 2 items if you use a bogo. It also counts as 2 coupons if you use a $1 off 2 items coupon. Bummer. And only one of the two Wags stores in my town will let you use two coupons on a store bogo sale. For example if you buy something that is advertised as bogo without needing a coupon, you still can only use one coupon on the items you're buying. They claim you are only buying one item so you can only use one coupon. And they only count your one item towards your item-to-coupon total ratio (you can only use as many coupons as items purchased).

I always have to get a lot of fillers at Wags. Today I forgot to get enough filler items and it was really embarrassing. So much that I grabbed a couple fillers but then didn't even bother with the last two coupons so I could have saved $2 more.

They always make me feel so cheap and dirty when I use coupons at Wags. I don't shop there all that often for that reason. But the John Frieda deals are really good and my dd loves that stuff, so I am braving Wags for her.

I think I could have done better, but I dropped my coupon box upside down. So, all of my coupons were in a mess and I couldn't find a couple (until I got home of course):

Stride Gum - 6
Hefty One Zip - 4
Schick Twin Razor 12 packs - 8
Fusion Shave Gel - 3
Gillette Body Wash - 3

Total OOP: $25.75, Saved: $77.24

I only had one $4 RR, the rest were insert coupons & store coupons. I think I did pretty good. I impressed hubby at least.
