I noticed in my wallet today that I had an ECB that expired yesterday. I tried calling customer service and they said they can't reset it. Is there any way I can get the ECB back? Please help..

It's up to individual stores whether to take them or not.

Lots of CVS stores will take the expired ones.

Although it is not official CVS policy to accept expired ECB's, I would discuss it with your Store Manager openly and see if he can accomodate you. If not, at least you tried. It is much more important to have a rapport with your store where they trust you, than to use up an expired ECB by trying to slip it in.

Should you or should you not be able to use your Extra Care card immediately after signing up? I ask, because I went to my local cvs, signed up for the card and assumed after reading the faq that signing up on line takes 5-7 business days, whereas if you sign up in the store it is supposed to be instantaneous. I tried doing a toothpaste deal which advertised $2.99 in ecbs but nothing printed out. The manager comes and basically says the still have to send it off to corporate to be input in the system. Is this right? Most other loyalty cards can be used immediately. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm just curious.

Good Luck!

Yes u can use the card immediately and get the extra buck. The manager was wrong. did u get the right toothpaste? cause sometimes they can be at the wrong place and we just grab them from the shelf where they are advertised? check it and if everything is right call customer service and they will issue the ecb for u.
hope this helps.

My CVS manager and cashiers stated they take any CRTs and/or ECBs expired up to 3 weeks. Obviously it depends on the store.

Yes, that helps immesely! I ended up not buying the toothpaste, but I plan on going back today to use a 4/20 q I got. I am certain it was the right toothpaste cause I stood there studying the ecb offer, and made sure I had the right coupon and everything since it was going to be my first deal at cvs.

As others have said, just talk to your manager. If they won't take it, and you have multiple stores, one of the others might. It helps if you know the manager. At my store, there's one manager I wouldn't mind asking, but another - no way! haha.

If you had the right toothpaste, it should have worked.
I've grabbed the 4.2 oz from the shelf instead of the 4.0 oz because it looks exactly the same, and someone had stuck it over there.
It would have been nice to have an ECB or multiple ECBs to use along with the 4/20! But I'm sure you'll build some up in no time.

It depends not only on the store, but also on the cashier. I have gotten mixed reviews on it. Just try the cashiers you are most familiar with and other stores in the area. Under the impression that my store would take expired ones (had in the past, several times, no problems) I let a bunch of mine expire and then couldn't use them at the same store again. :( I finally found another store that would take them and got them all used up.
