ACME ~ Time to start saving your 'free' coupons in preparation for the Thanksgiving turkey deals.

I'm saving anything that expires even close to a month before Thanksgiving in hopes that they have another turkey promotion where my 'free' coupons can help add to my shopping totals to get to $300.00.

No baby here, no dog here but there are beechnut free and mighty dog free coupons recently that I'll use in that time period.

Another one is the vocal point free box of kashi cereal...exp oct 31 I think.

I'd save the mento's ones but they are free at shoprite right now (with coupon) and I figure I'll give them out on Halloween.

Please add any free and almost free coupons you can think of to this thread. I bet we can come up with alot as a group.

I saved my Reese's .55/1 any coupons. They have recently been 1.25, so I'm sure they will go that or better before Halloween. When do they start counting towards the turkey? I forget.

I got a cat for a free Bryer's inspirations yogurt pack, but I think that expires mid-October. Will depend on when the turkey deal starts.

Hopefully we will get a 1.00 GUM toothbrush/floss deal again or 1.50 even. Use the .75/1 toothbrushes or .55/1 "accessory".

If you are doing the cereal deal at Genaurdi's this week, there will be a free capri sun cat coupon (you can use this at Acme). Will depend on exp. date.

The way acme has been running lately, it shouldn't take much to get a free turkey! MY total for August with all the deals was well over $800, but only spent about $60 out of pocket.

YMMV with the Menthos these days. The cashiers at the LImerick ACME have been manually forcing them to not double. I guess you can do self check out.

I REALLY wish stores would be consistant with their rules, if they dont want to double DND5's then DONT!! That is fine with me! But dont do it half the time, and not do it the other half!!!

(received by mail about a week and a half later) I didn't ask them to send me one and just really liked their Strawberry Fields cereal, called to tell them,:BigHand::BigHand: and they said they'd send out the coupons! I cannot stand Limerick. I have found most of the cashiers to be snotty and less than friendly. Even at the SCO, they scour the coupons and if you slip one in before they review it, they pull it out and void it. Grrr....

It is rare that I get a cashier that is snotty or not friendly to me at Limerick!! There is one guy that runs the SCO sometimes that I always feel like is giving me the evil eye though. Usually the DND don't get doubled, but I don't mind that because they DO say do not double on them, they're just doing their job IMO. I do wish Maureen was still there, she was my favorite.

Also, this would be a good time to buy Try Me Free products and/or items that involve mail in rebates. This is a good way to get your total up, and then get some or all of your money back in the form of a rebate. I have done this before. It is also a way to increase your Acme Reward points during the month if you are close to the next threshold.

I don't think Acme is a retailer for this item. Around me, it is only Giant, Genuardi's and Shoprite:( I have lots of these coupons.

Thanks for the reminder and link (repped ya). I sent about 8 emails last week complimenting products or making friendly suggestions and I have received emails back from all indicating they would send me coupons. Received my first from SC Johnson - free box of ziploc up to $3.00 plus a booklet with about $20 worth of coupons off other products!

You know what's weird? Today was the first I went since the promo started.

Did 5 GM transactions. 5 X $25 (some were more, but all were a minimum of $25 for the cat) is $125.

I went to run that load out to my car & my last receipt said my qualifying purchases were $90.xx.

Went in, did 5 more, of course minimum of $25 each. My last receipt says my qualifying purchases are now $168.xx.

So either the registers aren't keeping pace with me:biggrin: or some items are not qualifying or it's on sale prices or it subtracts coupons & cats. I'd love to figure it out, but I'm not going through all 10 receipts.
