Small moneymaker ($0.75) on the Healthy Choice dinners. I bought 5 of the pasta ones (priced either $1.85 or $1.93), had the $5/5 loadable from Kroger's website come off, and used the $5/5 IP [ahhh, just looked, looks like the print campaign is over for that one].

Went to Kroger today and saw Glade plugin refills marked down to $1.75. I only saw the Vanilla fragrance marked down. There are also Glade tin candel holders and Renuzit Crystal Elements starter kits marked down.

My Kroger is remodeling so I think some SKU's may be MD to clean up discontinued inventory. However, I found Kashi granola @ 1.05 ($1 Q), Clariol Hair color for .99 and 1.99, Loreal Hair color for 1.99, All Laundry det (w/snuggle) for 3.19 ($3/2Q=1.50 each). Also, I found the Glade scented oil tins MD to 1.74 (Q for free refill kit with purchase of tin).

Wow, it's been years since I bought any pots/pans (except a teflon "egg" skillet every few years), seems like so much of it is teflon coated now ... and my utensils are metal.
Faberware is/was a good brand name.
Don't know your cooking style, but we've always had the heavy Club Aluminum pots/pans (probably don't even make them anymore; if so, they're probably $200 for a set), and a couple of aluminum/tin ones for boiling eggs, and the good ol' cast-iron skillets!
Then, again, I do quite a bit of fresh veggies, stews, pot roasts and have a tendency to walk away from the kitchen while they're cooking (the heavy pot helps prevent the liquid boiling out so fast)! ... Before I broke down and bought the Club Aluminum, I tried the lighter weight pots/pans ... ended up donating them to a shelter, because I kept burning up almost everything I was trying to cook.
Long story short -- don't forget to consider the weight of the pot/pan and what you're used to using AND what your cooking utensils are made of (think the metal ones still scrape the teflon off, costing you a new pot/pan).
Don't know if you've ever tried any of the thrift stores on old 90 (across bridge toward Sugarland), but if you don't mind used, you can sometimes pick up some CHEAP GOOD pots/pans there!
BTW, I've had my Club Aluminum for ... gosh, 30 years now, they've gone through sitting in flood water for a week, and cleaned up beautifully ... nothing's broke on any of them, so it was well worth whatever amount (seems like $75-$100 for 4 pots and 4 lids) I griped about paying for them "way back when"!! A few years ago, I found another sized pot at one of the thrift stores for $5 (WITH the lid!) and grabbed it!! (It must've been a size you could buy outside the set.)
Sometimes folks give whole sets, even in the box, to thrift stores ... so if you're "looking to buy" instead of "buying" right now, you might want to check in there now and then and maybe get a good set of whatever you're looking at for $20 or less!!
PS... I'm starting "spring cleaning," and sometime in next few months, I will have some old dishes and pot/pans (mix and match?) I'll be getting rid of. (I don't have any dishes, pots/pans less than 10 years old:hysterical:, so they'll probably remind ya of dishes your mom or grandma have/had!) Anybody in Rosenberg area that doesn't mind "hand-me-downs" is welcome to PM me, and I'll let ya know when I have them sorted to donate and you can pick through what you want!
PS--was looking through database today ...
Mattel Barbie purchase $14.99+ (Enter sweepstakes then get link for coupon) (http://barbiepinkticketparty.com/?npn=true), $5.00/1, Rolling, Printable
I didn't go to the link, but thought I'd pass it on to ya!

Yes we do! I used them a couple weeks back when the cole slaw and garden blends were on sale for $1. They beep tho if u used more than one at a time. States on the coupon 1 per transaction. My cashier didnt have a problem taking them tho so YMMV.

Kellogg's cereals -- 2/10-3/10
Uncle Ben's pouches -- 2/1-2/28

regular 4/$3.00 x2 = 8/$6.00
$1.00/2Q, 2/7RP
use 4................. =- 4.00
subtotal............. =8/$2.00 +++ $1 OYNO (if no CF) = 25˘ ea + cat!**
CF $0.50/3......... = 0.50
oop................... = 8/$1.50 ++++ $$1 OYNO**
($0.1875 per can + $1 cat ... ain't free, but works for me!)**
** some folks like to consider the cat as reduction in price. I do mine like this, so I know my oop amount.

If the cat comes out before you pay you can earn multiple. If it comes out after you pay, you only get one. This works for all catalina offers at Kroger.
Scan a bottle if the cat machine prints, scan another. If not scan, pay, collect and do another transaction.

This is actually a money maker at Walgreens this week. It is $5.99, but you can use your Q (whichever one you have - the ip or the insert Q) and then you get a $6 RR! So you make $$ off the deal - whatever the value of your coupon is! :)
frugalnthemaking
02-13-2010, 01:06:10 PM
ok, cool. Do you have to sing up for RR?
zoeys_mom
02-13-2010, 06:04:30 PM
Frugal
The RR program is a catalina program for Walgreens
You purchase the item and after you pay, the coupon machine will print out a coupon for the stated amount(in this case $6) that you can then use to purchase most items in the store(excludes stamps, gift cards, alcohol and some other items)
So for this example (ends tonight by the way(btw))
Buy the dove $5.99 - $1.50 coupon
pay 4.49 + your tax rate and then your coupon will print for $6 off
Once you get good you can roll these. You cannot however use this $6 you earn to buy more Dove or you will not get another one(this is exclusive to Walgreens- at kroger you can use the same and earn more)
You might want to stick to one store first and master it though, before learning the others
You might also want to start a price book and keep track of what you are paying NOW for your neccessities and start tracking sales, so you KNOW if something is truly a deal.

A BOGO is just like a free coupon essentially (except of course you have to buy 2 items). And free item coupons don't double.
Double check your receipt and see if it says 'free coupon' down where they coupons show up and see if it was doubled.

I tried the strawberry, and it was awful. My son who loves the Oikos wouldn't eat it, it was so bad. Maybe the other flavors are better??
When I read the ingredients, it has 'Milk protein concentrate' as an ingredient- like they just added that to regular yogurt to make it 'greek style'. Which tastes like garbage.

Interesting that they threw the milk protein concentrate back IN the yogurt since greek yogurt takes out the whey *milk protein* in order to make it thicker. :shrug7:

Does anyone know how many times we can roll the $3 BC Cat (per card)? Seems I remember in the past they stopped me from rolling after so many times.
In the past three weeks between several stores in Houston and Dallas (I have been buying for my household as well as extended family members) I know I've probably purchased/rolled more than 35 times (more than 100 pouches of potatos). I'm pretty sure there is no maximum number of times you can roll.

hmmm... okay - I guess take your word for it. I just distinctly remember when doing the AMP deal and rolling the CAT's I was waiting in line doing my happy dance when the record stopped! I was able to go to CS to resolve (they actually gave me a $15 store GC) but the manager told me these are limited as to how many times you can roll (per card) - since then I started alternating Kroger cards if it was something I wanted to roll more than 5 times. I guess since he gave me a GC more than the CAT was worth I thought he knew what he was talking 'bout. :rolleyes24:

The cards never limit the number of times you can do these deals...I'm pretty sure there's no way for them to do that. What the manager was referring to was the wording on the cat itself. The AMP cat said limit 1 per household, but it was not regulated by card, just by employees. I did the AMP deal like 20 times on my one card and it never stopped printing :) The BC Potatoes cat has no such wording, so roll on...

Does anyone know if the McCormick Grill Mates are still $1 this week? I have an early copy of the 4/18 RP, and there is a $.50/1 Grill Mate.
BTW, there is also a $2/1 Purex Sheets & a $3/1 Motrin PM (ETS).

I can't say yes, but I would guess yes. $10 for 10 next week if not now.

They were $1 at my store last night. My redplum didn't have this q, but thankfully redplum.com has them! So print 'em while they're hot!

Country Crock is $1.00.
If you have $0.30 Q (Houston didn't receive [we got $0.40]) they would be $0.10
Country Crock are $0.20 with the $0.40 Q

The .30 coupon for Country Crock had to have been in the Houston Chronicle at some point as I have several of them and that is the only way I get my coupons (aside from IP's).

Right now Stouffer's has a wonderful coupon for their facebook fans. (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OAEtC4x0Dls/S9D3R1IFcvI/AAAAAAAABzg/tuqMQT8LU7o/s1600/DSC04029.JPG)
You get a choice between coupons, but if you choose the Entree coupon, it is for $2.50 off any Stouffer's Family Size Entree. Normally these sale for $7+ at Kroger, but right now they have them on sell for only $3.99. So after coupon, just $1.49 for a family size entree for any meal. Great for those nights I just don't feel like actually cooking!
While you are at Kroger, you might want to scout out the organic department, especially if you like Annie's mac and cheese. I saw a sign at one store advertising it for 3/$1. I am assuming they are trying to deplete overstock from the last mega deal, so it is possible to find it cheaper at some stores.

Kroger - Ronzoni smart taste pasta on sale this week, $10 for 10. If you haven't used the IPs, this will make each box 25cents. or if you have magazines such as "Parents" (May issue), it will be free.
(Thanks ZM for confirming that the pasta are still on sale this week. I was able to go today and picked up some cheap pasta. It was my first time buying it, so not sure about the taste, but I am cooking it tonight to try).

Hi, do you know if lasagna is part of the sale? thx.
There were several flavors that are in the size stated on the coupon...there is a veggie lasagna and a meat with red sauce. The Target I went to was low on a few so I got a rain check just in case I trade for some IP's.

U Tampons are on sale 10/$10. These are not the full size boxes, but the small tin containers that has a few tampons in it...the kind you keep in your purse. Anyway, I used the $1/1 any U tampon coupon. It did beep, but the cashier pushed it through... so YMMV.
Where did you find these in the store? I looked with all of the other Tampons, etc... and I looked where the trial size items are... I couldn't find them. I'm thinking maybe my Kroger doesn't carry thay size. :shrug7:
TIA
