Do your Wags allow you to use more than 1 RR in a single transaction? Does anyone know the Wags corporate policy on this?

I ask because I have seen several posts now where people are indicating that they have used more than 1 RR in a single transaction. My Wags does NOT allow me to use more than one. They are, however, a VERY coupon friendly store so I do not want to "rock the boat". It would be mush easier if I could use more than one, though.

I think the Corp policy is to allow one RR per item.

Yes, I think it states that on the RR.

My stores allow more than one to be used per transaction. As long as I abide by the terms on it that state you can't have more manuf. coupons than items in the transaction.

An RR is considered a manufacturer's coupon by the WAGs system for purposes of the 'one coupon per item' rule. They should allow you to use more than one if you have enough items. I've had a very sincere and very helpful store manager tell me that the system only allows the use of one per transaction, even though I know better (used 5 of them in one transaction this morning). So, it could be that the store doesn't really understand RR's.....but it's unlikely that's the reason.

I think WAGs corporate policy is to let store managers make the policy on coupons. Every time I have a problem with one specific store in town and try to get help from corporate, they call the manager and have him call me... so we get nowhere. All of my other stores are awesome.

It states on the RR that one per "item" may be used. As a pp said, rr's are Manufacturer coupons and as long as you don't have more manufacturer coupons than items, you should be able to use as many as you want!

It states on the coupon that "Total number of manufacturer's coupons/register rewards cannot exceed the number of items in the transactions." So, if you purchase 10 items, you should be able use whatever combo of manu/RRs that total to ten.

However, Wags policy is that individual store managers get to decide whether or not to take any coupon.

My fave store changed the policy to only accept one RR per transaction right after they changed store managers. I called corp about it and they said that it was up to the store to make that decision.

I was super nice about it with the store manager. I made sure that I complimented the store about other things during my phone call with corp. One day, out of the blue, the cashier asked if I wanted to use more than one RR to pay for a transaction. I've been able to use multiple RRs ever since. From what I understand, they spoke with Loss Prevention and found out that it was okay.

I've heard of several Wags employees in my area being fired recently because Loss Prevention said that they accepted coupons when they shouldn't have. I don't know if they were fraudulent coupons or what. So, I think that alot of cashiers/mangers operate out of fear. I try really hard to understand that when dealing with them.

Like so many things at Wags, YMMV. Good Luck!

I tried on Monday at no less then 6 stores. Using any where from 3 to 11 RR in one transaction. Only one old lady raised eyebrow but when the register accepted it, she didn't say a thing.

it depends on the time of day and what day. i went to my wags on the first day of the sale early in the morning and wanted to use 2 $3 rr and the lady was like you can only use 1. she said that she would get in trouble if she took more than one. The manger does not know the difference between transaction and purchase. i had to argue with him about the difference but he did not budge. it was good deal so i brought it anyway but it is too expense for me to go on the first day of the sale. then i go in this afternoon and i was able to use 2 and the lady even knew i needed two items to use two of them.

Can someone tell me if you can use 2 of the same rr's like I have 2 truenorth nuts $3 rr's and can I use that and a filler to buy the murine to get my 6 back?

I used more than one $5 Triaminic RR in a transaction, so you should be able to. (When they first started with RRs, you couldn't use more than one of any denomination in a tx. Glad that's changed!)

So true. I can tell when I walk in and see who the cashier is whether or not I want to bother shopping at that store/time of day. It's a pain, but it's just how it is. :rolleyes24:

Well, it seems I may have to start scoping out some of the other wags in my area! Those of you who can use multiples - count your blessings!!

I always feel like such a pain because there I stand holding up the line because I need to do 10 different transactions because they won't allow me to use more than one...frustrating!

Yes you can I did it today as a matter of fact. I used a 25 cent filler from reduced school supplies section, seeing as I have no self control and would eat the cheap candy if I bought it. Everything worked just fine.
Hope this helps.

YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary).

It is my opinion and experience that coporate allows each store to set a RR redemption policy.

+

The Berea, OH 24 hour Walgreens has resorted to printing up signs displayed next to the current RR items that:

• No rainchecks on RR items.
• Only one RR redeemed per transaction.

Not cool Berea. OH, not cool.

+

I have used more than one RR in a transaction at the Parma Heights, OH Walgreens, located at the intersection of York Road and Pearl Road.

This store also has signs printed up and placed next to RR items stating no rainchecks on RR items.

+

Here in the BEST location in the Nation ...

Pearl Road has three Walgreens in the span of 8 kilometers ([think metric] 5 miles).

One of them is a 243 / 7.

Yikes!

I have been shopping at WAGS now for a little more than a year. At first, my store was pretty confused on the coupon/RR policies, as it was a nearly new store. But, they finally got more consistant.

Today, for the first time, I learned that BOGO free items do not count as an item when figuring # of items vs. # of MQ. They said because you are not technically "buying" them.

Has anyone else come across this?

I am VERY new to Walgreens, and VERY new to Coupons in general. I've read FAQ's and also read through iheartwags.com

I want to make sure I get this.

I tried to check out today with 10 Gilette Fusion Shaving Gels, all with the $1.00 off coupon from Sunday's paper. 1 Gillette Fusion Razor w/$4 coupon from Sunday's paper. 1 Shick Quattro w/ $3 coupon from last Sunday's paper. So I had the same # of coupons as items. IF I wanted to use, let's say, $22.00 worth of RR's on this..I would need to buy x amout of filler items that exceed the # of items? So if I have 12 items, and 12 coupons, then want to use 4 seperate RR's (my store does allow more than 1) then I would have needed to buy 4 filler items, no matter the cost, and it would have went through??

Yep. You have to have at least as many items as manu. coupons and RRs combined.(RRs are, in fact a form of manu. coupon.) So, as long as your total coupon amount is the same or more than your total before tax, you should be able to use them as long as your store allows the use of more than one. In your example, if you have 16 items, you can use 12 "regular" coupons + 4 RRs to total 16 coupons. It does not matter whether the "filler" is $.08 or $8, it is just the item count that matters.

Seems the store I frequent has their registers set up not to take more than one RR per transaction. This is the second time this has happened to me.

Today I had 2 Almay items & 2 campbells soup.
Used 1 RR ~ OK
Next RR wouldn't scan, wouldn't beep, it didn't do anything. Manager reluctantly came and put it thru as a -$3.00 "coupon".

Is this something new to regulate how many rr's are used?

I used several in one transaction the first part of last week and I had no problems with them at all. I had both mq and RR's.
