anyone know more details on this promo? is it just one time discount and looks like not all cards are participating.

my main card already has like $4xx cummulated on it so thought I get another one up to $300 but that card didn't have the offer on it.

then my mom has $200 deal on her card?

what to do to get more than one 10% discount?

My card said $400 for the 10% discount. My question is whether that's before or after coupons. I'd never spend $400 after coupons, but my total is usually around $600 before coupons.

It is before coupons, just like the fuel saver points.

It is one time per card. I told the cashier that was silly as I could accumulate that much in a day, if I really wanted too.

Not sure how they chose the $ amount and the cards. Hmm, I have not used my moms card to see if she has it. I have already reached my $300 and then some, might have to whip out her card.

Now that it's October, has anyone used their 10% off yet?

Are we prompted whether or not we'd like to use it or will it just come off the first order in October?

Typically on these kinds of things, the cashier will ask you if you would like to use it and when.
We should be getting a mega deal starting Wednesday(I looked at Cinci Kroger since we usually follow their ad- not always the same pricing though). Might make some of that stuff actually cheap enough. Unfortunately, it looks like they are limiting mega deals to 3 per transaction again, which is a bummer for those with the 10% off.

Thanks ZM!! I was hoping for that answer! I have a big trip coming up that I need to shop for and I'd like to use my 10% on that.

I'm confused?!? Are you being sarcastic? I reached the $200 for the fall savings easily. At the most I spent like $40ish in Septemeber and then w/ my coupons I reached it almost twice.

Yes, they asked me at the register if I wanted to use it yesterday. I wasn't buying that much so I said no. To get the max off, wait until you have the largest shopping amount you might use. You can always use it the last few days of the offer if you don't ever get a huge amount, and it won't make that much difference anyway since it's only 10%.

I used my 10% Fall Savings reward today. I saved $11.98 BEFORE coupons. I was hoping to spend about $100 and save about $10 so I was happy. I told the cashier (who happened to be a manager) as soon as he started to ring me up, that I wanted to use my 10%. He asked if I was sure I wanted to use it because he thought my order wasn't that big. I said yes considering that I'd been in there 2 hrs. and was freezing and ready to get it over with. I felt like there were some good deals this week and I used about $20 worth of coupons. I had the whole bottom of basket filled with cans (vegs and soups). When he completed my order he said I did really well saving a total of $66.88 with my Plus Card and thanked me for being a VIP customer. Then he rung the little bell at the register and people clapped. I was embarrassed but I made a point to thank him and Kroger for allowing me to get great deals. I wish that everyone who uses their VIP Fall Savings would get this kind of recognition, but I may have only gotten this because he was in management. Remember there are only 10 days counting today left to use this reward if you have earned it. I know there will still be one more ad coming out before the deadline, but I didn't want to wait to see what deals it would bring!

WOW, what does dh eat for lunch at Kroger that costs $14?

On a side note, I was asked if I wanted to use mine yesterday and I should have said yes, grrr. I wasn't thinking because dh made me buy him beer, so I thought the savings wouldn't be that great but.........

I was doing the following deal, and the extra 10% would have been NICE

Bought 5 Freschetta pizzas $4.99 = 24.95
Bought 5 Edwards singles @ 1.99 = 9.95
34.90
- $5 mega deal
- $9.95 - 5 peelies for free Edwards singles wyb freschetta
- $5 - 5 $1 off Freschetta coupons
= 14.95 or
$2.99 per pizza and Edwards singles combo.

With the 10%, I could have gotten about $5 more off my order
Oh well!:hectic1:

My husband and I have separate cards. And so he decided to use his 10% off. well it turns out that Krogers had tied our cards together without us asking them to. So My 10% is gone and I am really mad about it. I was planning on using it to buy 200 dollars worth of canned vegetables. I could shoot the stupid clerk who said they are different cards it won't take it off your card. I guess the good thing is it was about a 40 dollar order which is higher than I normally have.

I'm sorry you had to be the guiney pig for us.
Now we all know to warn husbands in advance.
My husband lost his Kroger key tag years ago; never replaced it, so I'm protected.

Same here...DH has his own card before we got married but he lost his since and the reason he started using my card or rather my phone number was because they opened up a Kroger gas station so he had been getting gas with it...and he used all my numbers until he hit the one that worked....so card or no card...it can be done.

Call them. Last time this deal happened more than half the customers used it on a order less then twenty bucks. They were all reissued the discount.
