I've never seen RIB either, the CVS stores near me are all Longs conversions. I was hoping after the remodeling they would carry them but I still haven't seen one yet.

No, I don't think the magazine is free. However, my store had a stack of just the 2 page coupon booklet next to the magazines and those were free.

Ack! I told myself I wouldn't get more shampoo. But I think I'll make an exception. I love trying new shampoos. Woot!

Wish I could find this book, have checked 3 stores and nothing. They seem to get them really late so it may not do me any good by that sales date. I read that there is also a $1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion Lotion coupon in that book that can be used soon when CVS will have it on special, can't remember if it's week of 9/20 or 9/27.

Yes, there is a $1 coupon for that Vaseline lotion in it and the deal is $7.99 with $7 back in ECB's the week of 9/27. So free after the coupon. :)

ETA: It's a 3 day deal-- Sun/Mon/Tues.

At one of my stores also, I had seen a stack of the RIB insert coups awhile ago. must have been about 50 or so. How do they get just the inserts when they come inside the magazines?

I had to ask them to check in the back to see if they had the mag back there. Sandra Bullock is on the cover and it costs 99 cents. They had them in the back room. I went ahead and bought 15 of them because I've such good success with those coupons.

You can use your ECB's to pay for the mag

When I bought mine they had a stack of just the coupons on top of the magazines and the whole things was bound together. It probably come from the printer that way.

remember that cvs puts out about 75- 100 versions of the ad each week. it is possible that your area didn't get this deal.

WOW today is my lucky day. I have the coupon (1 of each, thanks to CVS mailing it to me) and it's on sale here in the Twin Cities.

I went to a store by me that opened this week and even they didn't have the mag. I thought for sure they would have had it for the grand opening.

Not on sale in PA - I even had them scanned. The two pack is marked 2/$5.00, so I assumed that it was 2.50 and was going to buy them and use the 2.00 coupon from RIB - what they really meant that the two pack was 5.00 - so don't get caught by this if you're buying it with a bunch of other stuff, it would be easy to miss.

I regularly shop two stores in different towns. One store never has them, but the store that does always puts their inserts and RIB magazines in the magazine rack in the beauty section alongside all the other beauty magazines. They are very easy to miss. So easy that they seem to sit untouched for several weeks in that store. If my other store got them, I doubt they'd last half an hour. It's weird how the one town has kamikaze couponers and the other town seems to have virtually no one couponing.

Anyway, check the racks with all the other beauty magazines in the foo foo section. I'd also check the magazine rack by the pharmacy.

Are you asking the cashier to scan them for a price check or taking them yourself to the scanning machine?

When the cashier scans them, they will show that they cost $5.00 until you give her your CVS card. I bought one today and it rang up $5.00 and then realized I didn't give her my CVS card. When she scanned my card, the price dropped down to $1.99. At the UScan machine, they will show that they are $5.00 and indicate with your card, they will be $1.99.

Oh, wanted to add that I'm finding the two pack of Violage and Fruitopia on the end caps mostly around here. Also found some two pack Viiolage in the aisles where they have cosmetics, soaps, etc. The little section usually up near the front of the store where they keep gift packs, perfumes, etc.

Read my above post. I think it will help you. You need to have the cashier scan your CVS card first for you to get them at @1.99.
No, I think they are just not on sale in a lot of places. I know here in South Florida they're not in the ad and not on sale. :(

I was so disappointed because I finally found the RIB inserts and tons of the shampoo on Sunday morning. I actually am running low on shampoo!

THANK YOU for the heads-up on this...I went to my favorite store and they had plenty of the coupons. I asked the Mngr how to use them and she was super sweet! I explained that I wanted to fill my Soldier boxes with free shampoo. She let me use all the coupons...I just had to pay the tax. So, I ended up with 50 bottles for $11.00...I had to also buy a coke because I was worn out. She also explained that you can use a CVS coupon with a regular manufacturers coupon...so, I will be tackling the Colgate toothpaste next...and keeping my eye out for these coupons!

Ah yeah that's right about using 1 coupon per order. However, if you get lucky and find the two pack, it might be a good deal for whoever can't get in on the deal this week. I'm also wondering if the Violage and Fruitopia will be BOGO and if you can mix and match that way you can use one of each coupon in the same transaction.
