This deal is in the ad that is valid now and it does NOT include the packets. My in laws eat oats everyday for breakfast so I picked up ton for them. Also great to think about for christmas time and cookies!! I know last year they did this deal but they had out the .60/1 which actually ended up giving an overage. I took 100 down to the homeless shelter. I just finished up the last of those oats that I had for myself right before this sale, so I stocked up some more. If you use them, it's really a great deal!

shooooooot. I'm new at the stockpile/ purchacing of coupons from the online sites, but thought I was getting a huge jump on next weeks sale. So siked for the renyolds deal (i need it too) I purchaced the max amt of coupons that the site let me. Looked thru WAGS and CVS previews to see what else I could/should order and thought I placed my order.
GRRRR...I didn't hit submit on the paypal site, so it didn't get thru. (I had to run to GE for some more Quaker Oats, LOL)
When I went back to put it thru...no more CPs...BOOOOOOO HIsssssss.

Well this isn't a real great week at GE but here is what I'll be doing -
Buy 70 Reynold's Wrap (they probably won't have this many in stock - rainchecks :) - $70
Buy 2 Bounty Napkins -$3
Buy 8 Tylenol - $19.92
Buy 2 Starkist Tuna Pouches - $2.50
Buy 2 Ritz crackers - $5
Buy 2 Ritz Crakerfuls - $? I'm guessing like 6 or 7 dollars for both
Total: $106.32
-$70 from 70 0.55/1 Reynolds coupons doubled
-$1 from 2 0.25/1 Bounty coupons
-$16 from 8 $2/1 8hr. Tylenol coupons
-$1.50 from 0.75/2 Nabisco coupon
-$6 from FREE ritz crackerfuls wyb ritz
-$2 from 2 0.50/1 Starkist coupons
-$5 Dawn Catalina
TOTAL: $4.82 plus tax for over $100 of merchandise
Does this sound right? Do you think they will allow me to use the FREE Ritz crackerful coupons and the 0.75/2. Has anyone done this??

GUys just something to think about, I am an avid couponer / stockpiler like all of you, however I know someone that works closely with exec's at giant eagle, in pittsburg, and he told me that double coupons will be ending sooner then later (doesn't know a specific date, but as early as 1/10) He said there are many reasons but one big reason is people who get out of hand with some of the deals and these are his words "order hundreds of items" So when I saw majestynoel say she is buying 200 reynolds wrap, thats all fine and good, but just know that giant eagle is keeping track of things like that, especially when stores have to special order products, and then thats all you purchase. It is things like this as to why we will all lose out eventually.
Sorry to point one person out, but I just really like using double coupons and hate to see a few people who get out of hand with it, ruin it for everyone.

I hope this isn't true!!! Giant Eagle may rest assured that if they stop doubling coupons I probably will rarely, if ever shop there. There will be no need to go.

I think it's a good lesson for everyone out there as ALL OF US have probably gone a little overboard at one time or another to some degree. Coupons are easy to track and corporations can dig even deeper when you use a retailers card to get discounts (GE Advantage Card, CVS card, etc) as it can all be tracked right back to specific individuals. Everything in moderation and with patience.......

We all go a little bit overboard at some times. However, MajestyNoel also does her daily shopping at her Giant Eagle. So, she is not just going in, purchasing that one item on sale and moving on. She has spoken with her store manager and they are happy for her purchases and willing to help her. Also, a lot of us who purchase large quantities of items like this are making purchases for multiple people and families (maybe we need to use multiple Giant Eagle cards?).
Every couple of months somebody hears a rumor / talks to somebody that says couponing is going to be modified (either through elimination of doubles, elimination of internet Qs or limiting the number of Qs). The only thing we can do is be responsible, use them legally and not worry about it. Or, if you want to worry, then be pro-active and contact corporate. Tell them that you will not shop at their stores any longer.
My two cents...

They tried it once and saw their sales DROP tremendously!!! I think they may limit but not stop all together as that would be partial death as Shop n save, foodland and kuhns still double. Also they know that super walmarts are aboundant here and without the doubles, they are alot cheaper on most items.

+
Regarding double couponing ...
It is an ongoing 'wait and see' decision making situation.
+
For all the special order / cherry picking, there is a metric ton of shoppers that do not use coupons at Giant Eagle and we all know that it is the customer that ultimately pays for double coupons in the form of the computed / established shelf prices of every item in their stores.
+
Shelf price of a 2-liter Dr Pepper:
$1.79 at a double couponing chain
$1.69 at a chain that does not double coupon
That 10¢ difference, when figured into the thousands of the product sold, is a considerable chunk of change.

As another employee of Giant Eagle I will say that I would not be surprised if they drop how high they double coupons daily, maybe down to 50 cents instead of 99 cents but I doubt they are going to stop it all together. There are some big things on the horizon for Giant Eagle that will benefit the shoppers and I know you guys have complained lately about the lack of good deals, well save up those coupons, things are coming. I can't talk about specifics but I think everyone will be happy. I am not an exec so the coupon thing is just my opinion.

Would someone please help me find some coupons? I am reeeeeally pinching pennies for the next little bit, so I need to balance my free wishbone dressings and cereals with some protein!
I have been unable to locate the StarKist coupons or the Van de Kamps coupons mentioned earlier. Any ideas?
Thank you so much! You guys have no idea how much you've helped me through this time. I was eating cereal for darn near every meal before I found this site!

For the Van De Camps, you can go to SmartSource.com and in the zip code, enter 77477 and press the GO button on the right to refresh the screen. From there, you should see 2 Van De Camps Qs come up on, well, it seems like any page.
As for the Starkist- well, I got some great help from our friends on this site. They suggested couponsthingsbydede.com. I ordered Reynolds Qs from couponcarryout.com (10 for 1.97 I think it was. I got a promo code. If you want it, PM me - not sure if i can post that or not). The other poster got her Qs from the couponsthingsbydede.com cheaper than I did, so you might want to go that route first.
HTH!!!
--edit--i checked and didn't see Starkist on couponcarryout.com. Go for couponsthingsbydede.com :=)

Sadly getting rid of doubles would chase me to Target and Walmart and Marcs (local) place they can't compete with those prices without cat/doubles combos.
PLUS they get reimbursed for the coupons so what the heck is their problem?
I hope this isn't true!!! Giant Eagle may rest assured that if they stop doubling coupons I probably will rarely, if ever shop there. There will be no need to go.

They have limited the number of coupons at the Columbus, Ohio locations for as long as I've been couponing (2yrs, give or take) to FOUR per PERSON per DAY. However, it is not linked to your GE card in any way, so it is also per STORE. It is harder to take advantage of some deals... but it can be gotten around with several visits to several GEs in the area in a weeks time.
We can't help it that we're smart. If they want to change the rules on us, we'll simply adapt and figure out the best way to play within the rules. We're clever like that.

Frankly, I love the scary "no more doubles" rumors...they add just the right amount of drama to my otherwise boring life...
And about them lowering prices: recently the ad stated a new lower price on milk of $1.98...um the milk has already been $1.99 since the spring...so they lowered it a penny? Wow! :rolleyes24: At Aldi's the milk is $1.49...I suppose it might vary by region though.

We hear about this not going to double anymore stuff every other week it seems like. Nobody ever knows if it's really true or not. They could have discussed it a meeting or conference and then someone went off on a tangent telling everyone that has caused it to become a rumor. Maybe it is true.. all I know is... this is only the 2nd time I have bought something in that big of a quant. My 200 reynolds wrap this week is not going to make or break GE decision on this. I do 95% of my grocery shopping at Giant Eagle and have become very close with the store managers and grocery managers. If it was a problem, I think they would have stopped me when I called over there and ordered these directly from the store manager. Instead of me wiping all the shelves clean and them having to deal with upset customers/rain checks etc. they encourage me to call anything in that I need in a large quantity. I guess I just don't understand why I had to be called out on this. I take it very personaly and honestly don't appreciate it. If GE has a problem with what I do, then they can contact me about it. Untill then.......

I was wondering -
Do you think they will allow me to use 2 FREE Ritz crackerful coupons and the 0.75/2 if I by 2 Ritz. Has anyone done this??
:thanks7:
Recently I did something similiar...I had Free Wheat Thins wyb Ritz....and I had .50/1 Ritz....so when Ritz were $2.50...I paid $1.50 for one box Ritz and one box Wheat Thins. I justified it by saying that the Free coupon was for the Wheat Thins, and the other was for the Ritz itself. I did this 10 or 15 times and never had any problems. Come to think of it, I did it with the Ragu and the free pasta wyb Ragu coupons too!

That's so funny someone else mentioned this! I typically shop at GE late Weds (just kinda always works out that way) and they always have the sale stickers still up until after close (1am)...but today, they were almost all missing, and there were a TON more employees working the shelves (this was only at 11pm). The cashier said that they have had extra help this week because they are lowering prices on so many items. She said they had to change over 30,000 tags this week!!!! She said many prices are being lowered to compete! Yeah!

Sorry I just posted like 3 posts in a row now but...
today while shopping (at 11pm) a manager approached me and asked me from now on, if I have a large order to please submit the order either by phone to customer service or bring an order in for them. They will order mine seperately and it will come in 1-2 days, which they will hold seperate at customer service for me! She thought I would be mad but I was estatic! They are getting annoyed if I clear out an item (it's not my fault that they don't stock more than 10 of some items!) Funny thing is I'm a stockpiler, but not like some of you ladies! The most of anything I have gotten is 40-50....hmmmmm....unless I can find some Reynolds coupons!

Weinergirl, I shop at Sawmill also. I did my first really good purchase there on Tuesday. I saved more than I ever have with the coupons and matching them up to the sale prices. It was the first time for me to print coupons out instead of just using the ones in the paper. I was so proud of myself!! And everyone here! The cashier was really impressed and said that she had another customer that only spends $50 a week using coupons. I figure that it is someone from here. I know that as I get better at this I will save more and more. I hope that I get to the point of spending $50 a week on groceries!

They were still sticking tags up this morning when I went to my store - I find the new tags really confusing though - everything was freakin tagged with neon yellow tags! LOL
The Baking Mixes are NOT the cookies - those are 2/4$. The baking mixes that are on sale are things like muffins and stuff.
I forgot my renyolds coupons here at the house....figures....I only have a couple, but I was beyond peeved when I realized what I did!
Spoke with the store manager about ordering Fresh Pet Homestyle Select dog food - he said no problem, they only come in on the Meat truck - so if you're looking for them, ask when they get their meat. My store gets them Thursdays and Saturdays (and maybe one other day...but I have to go in Saturday to pick them up) Told him that I was using the 'Free' coupon and he said that was absolutely not a problem :-) This is the first time I've ever ordered anything, and it was super simple. I had written down the upc codes from the shelf to give to him.
Raid Flying Insects and Wasp & Hornet spray are on clearance for 2.50. Minus two 1$ mqs = 2/3$ and you get 1.25 oyno wyb 2.

So, at what point should you try to order something? What is you number limit to where you switch from buying from the shelf to ordering it in?
I think it depends on the person - if I know that I can hit a bunch of GEs before the end of the sale or coupon expiration then I'll just get a few here and there. Or if there is a big endcap full or enough on the shelf I'll just get them all at once.
But if you don't want to be going on a GE roadtrip, and the shelf doesnt hold enough to leave plenty there for others - I'd order it. Which is exactly why I asked today for the Freshpet dog food. The cooler looks like it would only hold a few of each of the two flavors - and with two crazy toddlers and having to be home in time for the bus now...Im not about to go driving around to every GE to find 50 of them!
After talking with the SM today though - I may just start doing more ordering. I've spoken with him once before but I wasn't aware he was the actual SM - he's super great and very accommodating. The other time I talked with him was during the 7(?) cent L'o'L Butter tubs - I asked if there were any in the back since they were stocking that area, but they were out so he gave me the bigger size for the same price! I was shocked and even asked him if he was sure that would be ok LOL

I think the 'official' limit is 4 (or so I've been told at my store)...but I've had some CS cashiers give me rc's with no limit, some say I can have however many I want, and then there are those that I hate going to because they will not budge on the limit of 4. So if I get one of those, I just ask for a rc every time I go to the store until I have enough LOL Plus it makes it easier than trying to find a large quantity on the shelf. I've used several limit-4 rc's at one time and no one said anything.

I found it on a Ziploc display - had maybe 15 or so Q's and a raincheck. I actually first thought it was someone's payment to somewhere because it was in that type of envie so I checked it out and found it was Q's. I ended up giving to CS in case the person returned for it. Hope they get it though - I know I'd cry if I lost even a small envie of Q's.

I think it honestly depends on the store and who you deal with. There was a big talk about it at my store b/c I asked..how come when "so and so" gives a rain check she will only let you get 10 but others don't care. So the manager told everyone there is no limit. His exact words were....."If I customer comes in with the intent to buy 196 boxes of cheerios, either way they can have it" I guess he is saying if a customer wants something that bad then they will find a way to get it.

Like majestynoel says it is different by store. When I need a raincheck I just ask for them every time I am in the store. For example the Chef Michael's dog food. I got 7 of them for 10 each. The other thing you need to think about is don't get one raincheck for a high amount of product unless you are ordering that amount. You don't want to get there to use your raincheck and there is not enough product on the shelf. So get rainchecks for smaller amounts.

I would hope NO ONE leaves this forum over this issue.
I can understand both sides of the issue.
Great if your store will allow you to order items in a huge quantity and works with you to complete your transaction in a way that benefits you. Not all stores will do it.
I would never ask at my stores - too many nasty looks and comments from cashiers and management when I do my deals and walk out with free merchandise as it is - definitely don't want to call any more attention to myself or other couponers at my store. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable walking in with a 100 plus q's to use in one transaction. One of my cashiers was called into the office last year to discuss my coupon usage. They thought that I was somehow working with a cashier and getting coupons from them to reuse. I'm asked constantly where I get all my coupons from and I tell them that I buy tons of papers on Sunday.

I agree, it makes me re-consider even being a member of this forum.
Don't leave. I don't contribute much to this forum as everyone usually beats me to it, but I look forward to contributions from many including you. Don't let someone take the wind out of your sales (sails) :wink7:

Majesty, please don't leave. I also agree you contribute too much to this forum - and you make me laugh (which is always in high demand!).
It's ok that you and the other poster don't agree about buying in bulk (and I think you agree). Nobody likes to have their name called out and feelings were hurt (and please don't forget Majesty is pregnant).
Let's all agree to disagree and move on. Life's too short :=) This is a great forum where we all learn a lot and I would sure like it to continue.
So what else is everybody buying this week?!

Please don't leave over something like this. We all buy large amounts of certain items, some because we shop for others and some just because we will use them (like my 200 velveeta shells and cheese cups). When I am buying over 20 or something I let our manager know. That way if he needs to order extra he can.
I have seen a target thread on another forum get down right nasty over peoples coupon usage. I certainly hope that doesn't happen here. If I want to buy 200 Aluminum foil and my store is ok with it thats my prerogative. I may be picking up 10 for 20 different people or I may just be wrapping my house because the aliens are coming. Either way I am doing nothing wrong.
I agree, it makes me re-consider even being a member of this forum.
I am lucky that one manager is my BIL. I call him and tell him whats hot for the week so he can order. If I am buying large amounts he orders for me so his shelf isn't wiped out.
I also have an issue with our front end manager. She is out to get my favorite cashier and pulls my coupons everytime I got thru her line to check them out. My Favorite cashier thinks it is funny because we don't do anything wrong, but I am about ready to blow a gasket over the whole situation. They really never had any serious couponers until I started so it has really been a learning experience for them. Most handle me and my coupons well. Some I avoid at all costs because it either takes 2 hours to check out because they have to read every single word on each coupon or because they have to check every item I bought to the coupon because they can't remember. Those are the ones I avoid.
I would hope NO ONE leaves this forum over this issue.
I can understand both sides of the issue.

Ugh, I'm sooooo peeved!!!! I bought a ton of those Betty Crocker cookie mix coupons thinking the sale included them... what a waste of money!!! And I don't think it's worth spending $30 in gas money to get $50 worth of foil, do you? Guess I'm not driving down to Erie this week.. UGH... I was planning on driving down this evening but there goes that idea.
If someone wants to be CRAZY nice... could they see if the cookie coupon (17.5 or larger) works on the small baking bags? lol That would be too cool.

For me this week...
8 Quaker Oats @ .38 ea
10 Reynolds wrap, if I can find them - FREE (.10 overage)
4 Dry Idea - FREE (Not sure of actual price but I still have four $2/1 IPs from a while back, so assuming free. Anyone have price est on these?)
2 Skippy @ .80 ea (with .60/1 Q)
Total est $3.64, less potentially a buck or two overage on the dry idea.
RE Quaker, will I get two $2 instant savings if buying all 8 in one transaction or do I need to split this into two?
Thanks everyone.

ok I must be missing something here. The reynolds wrap coupon in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette was .30 off of the 30 square foot roll, and .75 off of the larger rolls. The reynolds wrap on sale is the smaller 30 square foot roll. How is everyone getting this free? I used my 4 .30 coupons on the aluminum foil and paid .40 each. That is still good but of course, free is much better. Can someone explain what I am missing?

I went to GE this morning... Didn't find any Reynolds Wrap in my store but I got a raincheck. I only have 4 qs so I will just get it whenever I can find 4 in stock.
So the "new lower prices" tags are annoying. They are everywhere! And even prices that weren't just lowered still have neon yellow tags that just say "low price." It's hard to see what's actually on sale.

They did this...oh, about 4 years ago - I was working at WM at the time, and had to price check GEs prices to make sure mine were lower. Me and a coworker complained like crazy over how many tags they had put up because they 'lowered 10,000 prices' or whatever number it was back then! My mom and sister both hated GE and always shopped at walmart until they started paying attention to my GE receipts. Once they realized how much I was saving they both now shop at GE more than Walmart. Of course I do most of my moms deals at GE for her but she does my Kuhns and Costco shopping so it is a pretty even trade.

Just a comment regarding the 100's of coupons issue. When you swipe your Giant Eagle card everything you purchase is recorded in a database. It is very simple for them to see where they are losing money. Those of us that think it is not a good idea to use double coupons to get hundreds of a particular item are concerned that this will cause Giant Eagle to stop the program. In my case, it's not my intention to make anyone feel bad it's just that what they are doing will affect us when we are no longer able to use double coupons. Sure it might be your perogative, as someone else posted, but in the long run it could hurt all of us.
I wouldn't want to see anyone leave this board either. I just would hope that people possibly think about the potential future consequences that could affect all of us.

Big No-No. Sorry, but even if the scanner accepts it, it is wrong (and fraudulant) to use the Q in any way other than what it states. Maybe we will get lucky and have a good sale on the 17.5's before the Q's expire...

Months ago, probably almost a year, I was at Shop-N-Save and found booklets with coupons at the back and 1 of the coupons was $1 off Reynolds wrap, except the 25 one, so mine were all free that way.
The Dry Idea is BOGO so you could use 2 coupons on 2 and pay 29 cents each.

Jen - I will come smack you up side the head with free Barilla and cheap Ragu if you stop posting! Your relationship with your store is your business and special orders are not anything new and it is not the reason they will stop dble Q's!
What I hate about rumors like this is there is always some reason - too many special orders, too many transactions, too many blah, blah, blahs... Let's face it, even if they would stop or limit dble Q's there will be new rumors floating around that some program is ending because of something someone thinks someone else is doing to cause it. Uh huh... Let's say a big IF here: IF GE stops/limits dble Q's it is because they really did some heavy analysis of how a change like this will affect consumer shopping habits and ultimately how it would effect their bottom line. Its not because a small percentage of their customer base makes special orders with the blessings of the store managers!! (I would lay odds less than 2% make high quantity special orders- and I think that is even a high estimate!)

Ok - I just need to vent. I went to my Giant Eagle today and bought my 20 rolls of Reynolds Wrap - used my .55/1 coupons with no problems. But, I also bought 16 of the Betty Crocker Cookie Pouches thinking they were 4/$5. But, they weren't. They were 2/$4. I must have gotten confused because of all the pricing and yellow tags...Also, the ad is quite deceptive as it shows a Brownie mix - not a muffin mix...the only pouches on sale were the muffins. Booooooo! I will now go back and return the 16 Cookie Pouches, but will lose my coupons  I am annoyed!!!!!!!!!

Regarding the use of coupons, according to an article I just read in the Small Business Owners Toolkit, fewer than 10% of all available coupons are ever used. Yes, we here at HCW are a more aggressive bunch of couponers than is the norm at GE. If you actually counted our numbers here (active and lurkers) on the GE board, I'm guessing it would number somewhere between 100-200. We are not going to bankrupt GE with our free rolls of foil. If they were worried about the coupons we redeem, they wouldn't continue to offer the deals with Knorr Sides w/cats or Colgate Palmolive w/ cats or other money-making deals. They are paid money by the manufacturers to offset losses in some cases.
That being said, GE is looking at every strategy to boost the bottom line. They recently laid off several administrative personnel at their HQ's. However, we can't get a true snapshot of GE's revenues or earnings after cost of doing business because they are not a publicly traded company and thus don't have to report any sales or earning numbers.
I agree that they probably constantly analyze coupon usage and sales figures. That was one of the reasons, after all, that the Advantage Card was made available. However, they don't want to risk the public relations nightmare they had on their hands the last time they tried to change the couponing policy.
If you find a deal, good for you and everyone should let their conscience be their guide, not comments on an internet bulletin board.

I'm almost afraid to post this - as I'd hate to keep the debate alive :potstirring2: . But here goes anyways LOL
I totally agree with Jen276 - if GE or any other store would decide to stop a double coupon promotion, it would be not because special orders or even smash & grabbers.
Stand by the registers some day and just watch how many people go through the line with no coupons. Listen to the totals. I almost gasp every other trip through the registers when the cashier tells the person in front of me their total. Watch to see how many items they buy that you know for a fact have a coupon out - I saw this today, lady had almost $200 in groceries, 90% of which I knew I had coupons for at home - she used not one coupon! We (crazy coupon ladies) are a very very very small percentage of GE's customer base.
Sure, they may be seeing a rise in double coupon 'losses' but it's not because of us stocking up on foil or knorr side dishes - it's because the economy right now is forcing more people to look into saving money - and therefore turning to cutting coupons. If they would stop double coupons, it would be because double coupon had stopped bringing people into the store. Double coupons could be considered part of their marketing/advertising budget - it gets people in the door over someplace that doesn't double coupons, like Target or Walmart.
Yes, they can see that I purchased a ton of product X when I swipe my card, and yes, they can see that I used a ton of coupon on product X. But they can also look back and see that prior to two years ago - I shopped there once a month if that. Now I'm there every other day! While I'm there using my coupons, I'm buying meat, product, tons of soda and milk. I'm picking up clearance items and impulse buys. Do I cost them a lot in double coupon values? Sure...but they're getting their money back just by me buying items there instead of driving 2 minutes down the road to WM. I'm also buying their gas, instead of driving to the gas station closer to my house.
Anyways, bottom line. Their marketing department knows what products have coupons out (in fact most companies ask that stores order more during a huge coupon campaign...gotta explain that more in the Grocery Store Secrets thread LOL) They know that they'll be having L'Oreal Kids for $1.49 while there is a 75c mq out - they know that some people will come in and buy it at $1.49, but they also know there will be people like us that come in with multiple coupons and buy a ton of it! They also know that if we come in for the free shampoo, that we will probably grab at least some milk and bread while we're there too :-)

Just a thought here. Does anyone know why some Giant Eagles limit the number of like coupons you can use? Isn't it to help their bottom line?
The may not decide to do away with doubles but instead place limitations on all stores. In a way that might be beneficial. It would be less likely that you would find the shelves wiped out.
As for people going in to the store and buying other items, there are just as many people who only shop at Giant Eagle for the doubles and then go to Walmart or Aldis to stock up on everything else.

Majestynoel, I am just jealous that you got 200 foil for free! Free is ALWAYS the right price and my opinion is good for you! I have been shopping at 3 stores in 2 days and I can't tell you how many people I have seen buy oodles of stuff and ZERO coupons. "coupons are such a hassle" said one lady in front of me when the cashier asked if she had any. well, my hassle allows me to stay at home with my kids and stretch one paycheck. Blessings to you and all here at HCW! cathy67redhead

When I pointed out the add didn't specify a limit the manager said they have to right to limit the number...so if anyone wants to get 10 there are plenty on Snow Road in Parma.

I agree about the posts. Can we move the "debate" posts somewhere else as it has nothing to do with the actual sale/deals. Ridiculous.

The sal is over in 2 days. There is no point in moving the debate now.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet or not, so sorry if it is a repeat. :)
The smaller Starkist Tuna Salad pouches are on sale for $1.50 this week. You can find a .75 coupon for them on Redplum using 77477 as a zipcode.

sandmike is correct...here's hoping that we can all stick to discussing the deals next week, though. It is a huge PITA for me to go through and delete irrelevant posts, so please think before you post!

I have saw posted before where you ask you Manager to order for you.......well today I went to get the foil, out, of course, so I went to the CS and asked for a raincheck for 40. The gal says "we cant issue a raincheck for that much" I said please ask. She calls the mgr and he comes up front (grant it I am very nervous) and she tells him and he looks at me and says "Sure we will just order a couple extra cases".(wish I had more cpns)......He took my name and number and is going to call me when they come in. I am sooooo happy.......

Wish I shopped your store!
Last night my store sadly still had some foil so no raincheck for me. :( My husband is in another town today and supposed to try and get a raincheck, but he is apprehensive about asking for 50 and I am apprehensive about that large store being out of stock setting a limit on the raincheck. If nothing else I will check tomorrow night and hope for the best since I won't get my coupons in time.

Century III had foil yesterday...I only got 6 since the shelf was just about empty. Might go back for more today.
Still no sun crystal sugar tho.

I got a raincheck for the foil, and the CS rep wrote "limit 10" on it. This means I can buy up to 10 of them, not that I have to buy 10 at once, right? I only want 4.

I was told that when you redeem your rain check, if it is for 10 and you only buy 4, you forfeit the other 6 b/c you have to give them the rain check when you buy your 4.
What you might want to do is ask for multiple rain checks, each for 4 a piece. You know, you need one for a friend too <wink>
But, no, you don't have to buy all 10.

It's a little late now but I thought I would mention this. I bought five Skippy Natural Peanut butter today. I received the $5 Black and Gold bucks and (2) $1.00 OYNO compliments of Skippy Natural.

I found the starkist tuna salad pouches at the Market District in Bethel Park - they are 2/$3 until sometime next year (free after the .75/1 q in last Sunday's paper)
