My local Kroger in Cincinnati no longer accepts printed coupons. Are there any that do?

not really much you can do. you can complain and go higher but the manager of that store has the right to decide what coupons they take. only 2 of the 6 around me take them and I'm shocked that they started.

Maineville 48 Kroger still takes them- at least when I was there last week...

Their official written policy allows for them, it is above in the stickies. Ask to speak to the manager, and also email customer service. They pulled that on me about 2 years ago at Maineville, I called the manager and complained to corporate, turns out is was just a big training problem. Sometimes complaining is a waste of time, but not here.

It's the Kroger by Corryville. The manager said too many people make fake coupons so they're a no go now.

I emailed customer service when it happened two weeks ago and they still haven't responded or anything of the like. I've just accepted that they don't care either way. I'm hoping the Spring Grove Kroger still takes them though.

In my experience it is unusual for customer service not to respond to an email..when I have had an issue they usually respond within 24 hours. Try emailing them again.

My local stores still taken them, Hamilton Rt 4 and Liberty Township as an FYI

I re-emailed them about it the other night--still no response. It feels too far now since it was two weeks ago.

Looks like Spring Grove doesn't either, nor does the one in further downtown on Vine. I just feel like I've wasted so much of my time now. I have all these printable coupons and all these match up's planned but now I have to use the money in gas that I would have saved just to use them.

I guess I'll just use Kroger for 'extra' food items now and get everything I really need from the Foodstore. Two weeks ago, I had to spend a whole months budget because they weren't accepting printables (didn't mention it until after checkout was over) and it was all food that we need. Now, every Kroger we can get to easily doesn't.

I just don't understand how I can print coupons on their website...but can't use them at the store.

Call them. That is just unacceptable.

This is why I just plain don't deal with printables. Anywhere.

When I was at my local Krogers last weekend, the check out lady said that as far as coupons go Krogers is the most strict in her opinion. I told her I just try to play by the rules, and I ***ALWAYS*** make it a point to thank my cashier wherever I go for their patience with my coupons. :)

Is there an actual contact number to call them or just their general customer service line?

I'm not really much of a complainer so I'm never sure what to do in these types of situations.

I spoke with my Finneytown Kroger customer service person. She said that they are accepting IPs only if they scan. The cashiers are no longer allowed to push them through. Don't know if that helps or doesn't help...but just what I was told when I was verifying they still were accepting them.

HTH?

something that needs to be remembered is a manager can go against ANY corporate policy if they choose to. just because the website or an email from corporate says one thing most certainly does not mean the store has to abide by it.

limits on coupons used, limits on items purchased, etc. can all be decided by the manager of a particular store.

Here is the number: 1-866-221-4141

And while it is at the manager's discretion, I still think corporate should be notified on this one. If they try to scan and it does not scan, this is one thing. But if they are just not even trying, that is an entirely different thing al together.

Why does it matter if they scan it or not? I mean, I could see a fake coupon from a mile away...I don't understand why stores aren't even bothering to try.

I think it just frustrates me that I can print coupons from their website but use them nowhere now as all my Walgreens don't take them either.

Well, sometimes coupons that do not scan are legit...but oftentimes the ones that people have scanned or modified will not either. Basically, bad apples ruin it for most of us legit couponers. I would still call and clarify though!

Update on this matter: I emailed customer service twice this week on this matter (last Sunday and Thursday), no response to either matter. The women I spoke to at customer service was very nice but gave me a brush-off ("Our corporate policy states Kroger will accept Internet coupons. I'll make note of what you said but gee, I'm sorry for your inconvenience").

I really feel frustrated. I can't shop at my local Kroger's now, there's no way of knowing which other ones will and will not take coupons and its not like I can afford food shopping all too much without coupons. I'm really dreading finding some place to shop next weekend now and I wish it wasn't the case.

I would call back and demand a district manager calls you back. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. I do not always advocate that, but if they do not even try to scan, what do you do?

Update: I got an email response--4 weeks later--stating the following:

"Thank you for contacting The Kroger Company, I apologize for the delay
in response. As for your concerns with the printed coupons not being
accepted, I do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and
I have sent it along to upper management for review. This being said,
I do have to stress that our store management has to right to accept
limit or decline the use of any coupon, this is a judgment call and we
stand behind there decisions simply because coupon fraud is at a very
high rate. I apologize for any issues this may cause. For the
inconvenience, if you supply me with your Kroger card I will add a $10
credit to the account that will deduct at your next purchase. Thanks
again."

So, I took the $10 on my card and that was the last time I've shopped at Kroger. I understand manager judgment and accept that but if you have a store policy, it needs to be posted. A friend of mine went to the same store I had this issue recently and said they were not letting her use cut out coupons from circulars.

I've discovered Bigg's and not only do they ACCEPT printables no questions asked, but they GIVE me coupons. Win/win! Hope you all have better luck than I did!

P.S. An email about a similer issue I had at Spring Grove hasn't been responded to in over a month and a half and I waited three weeks before giving up on the district manager calling me back.
