Hope it's ok to start this - I don't usually get the daily paper, other than Tuesdays, but thought it would be nice if we had a thread to give a heads-up on any coupons in the actual paper part of the paper (Sunday or Weekday). That way if there's a decent coupon in one of our local papers we can run out and grab a paper :-)

PPG has a $1.00 off any one Energizer Brand Batteries or Chargers (no size restrictions) in the Tuesday, 9/8 paper - back of section C. Expires 12/31/09

Another thing I wanted to mention for anyone out this way (in Westmoreland county)

Latrobe Bulletin has been having the Sunday inserts in their Saturday paper. My sister said they seem to be better than the Greensburg Trib Sunday coupons (they had the 85c viva, Trib had 60c)

She's pretty sure that the Saturday paper is only 50 cents!

I think it is the Daily News in my end of town (Kennywood area) that has the inserts/Q's in the Saturday paper as well.

Good idea Neeky! I don't get the daily paper, but DD does and he can save me the Q's!

That's awesome. I would definitely pick up a Latrobe Bulletin for inserts.

I edited to add 'other good deals' because I just came across one that really doesn't fit anywhere else - but I think it's a fun/good deal.

Shop 'n Save has a Facebook page, and they give out three 25$ GCs for sharing your money saving tips while shopping at Shop 'n Save! I'm a facebook addict LOL

Here is their FB page - just become a fan and then click on 'just fans' from their wall - leave a note with your money saving tips, and you could win a 25$ GC!

Anyone know of any papers that carry the Redplum these days? I know the Washington Observer Reporter used to, but last time I went to buy those they didn't have them.

Today's Latrobe Bulletin (9/12) has two of the three SmartSource inserts - and they have the 2$ Discover Card coupon! They have the Main SS and the Diabetes Smart SS (but they seem a little lighter - I havent had a chance to compare though. (ETA - Diabetes Smart is only missing the two Glade coupons. Main insert seems to only be missing Ziploc, Natures Source, and Reynolds Foil...) They do NOT have the GM insert. It is 50 cents for the Saturday edition.

Me and the two little ones hit the two Latrobe Shopping Centers - GE, SnS, RA, Kmart - they all have the Bulletin. I didn't go into CVS because the kids were getting cranky and I had the big double stroller LOL

I got 35 papers for about 9$, would have been less though if I would have thought about splitting up transactions and using more of the 2$ Discover coupons earlier LOL But at SnS and RA I did two transactions each and used the Discover coupons.

I won a 25$ GC for Shop 'n Save! From their facebook page :-)

Seems as though they are putting 1$ off any Energizer Batteries coupons along with the Steeler FatHead sticker coupon. There is also a 1$ Energizer coupon on the backing of the Ben sticker.

In my area, the Red Plums are coming in the ads that come on Tuesday. I'm in Blairsville, PA. We never used to get coupons in the ads even though there was a cover stating there should be, but since they stopped putting the Red Plum in the Sunday paper they have started putting them in the ads.

Those of you near Tanger Outlets - if you become a fan on their facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/tangeroutlets), you can get a voucher for a free coupon booklet (normally 3$) that you can pick up at their customer service.

Become a fan, then click on 'boxes' at the top - and then on the first box that says about the free coupon book.

Anyone know of any papers that carry the Redplum these days? I know the Washington Observer Reporter used to, but last time I went to buy those they didn't have them.

The Observer-Reporter still carries the Red Plum, depending upon where you buy the paper. The South Hills and as far south as McMurray do not have the Red Plum inserts. Drive further south to Washington G.E. and you can find them in the papers there. Washington is about 7 miles from McMurray. Also, newspaper vending boxes in the Washington area have the inserts. I will check next weekend to see if the convenience stores near the Tanger Outlets have the inserts in the O-R. It would be worth the drive if the coupons are good.

The Red Plum is mailed to the northern Observer Reporter customers but not to anyone else. If you are close to the Mon Valley, you may also want to check there.

Not in the papers, but in person. If you see a food rep in the store, ask them if they have any coupons for their products. DH ran into the Keebler rep and got a load of coupons. I'm now sitting on about 30 packs of Keebler Fudge stripes for free. I also got that book that was mentioned above.

Most often these reps are more than willing to give out coupons to increas the sales in that store. DH does with his products and will sometimes alert them to a better deal in a different store. (all in his account area of course, LOL)

Kinda local - not really - but I was telling my sister about saving the B&G bucks to get Steelers stuff for my son's dad's Christmas gift and she forwarded me a deal for a

FREE 12x9 NFL Photo Print, good until 11/9 - shipping charges do apply and they are $7.95. But considering you are getting a 29.99 print FREE, 8 bucks is a good deal! This is for ANY football team though, not just the Steelers (but really, why would you want anyone else? LOL)

They have some beautiful photos of Hinez Field, and downtown Pittsburgh as well as each game and general photos of the players.

Just enter your name/email to sign up for the NFLPhoto newsletter, and you'll get a code to enter at checkout. Write it down though, because my sister said they email you the code - but I never got it...or it's buried in spam mail somewhere.

Link - https://www.replayphotos.com/nflphotostore/offer.cfm

You can choose to have it matted and framed, for like 100$ more LOL But I'm thinking a frame from Michaels or even Walmart will suffice :-)

Not exactly food related...but for those out near Monroeville there is a free Haunted House near the Sears there. The guy who puts it on just does it as a hobby, it's in his backyard - but his props are really good (mom was telling me he has actually sold props to Disney!)

He'll be open the 30th and 31st, I think from 7pm - 10pm each night. We went last Saturday and got there at a little after 7 and only waited maybe a half hour, as they only allow 2-3 people in at a time. By the time we got out though there was a line the whole way up his driveway!

No blood/guts/gore - or clowns (my phobia) lol. But alot of 'zombie' type stuff and startle effects. My mom is a complete chicken and we laughed the entire time because she was holding on to me like a lil kid and screaming...one time she actually ran back and I had to go catch her and make her keep going LOL So it's a really good time :-)

A family friend is one of the 'zombie' actors inside, which is how we found out about it as they don't advertise, it's all word of mouth. I forget the web address, but if anyone would like directions just let me know :-)
