Sorry I haven't been as 'present' lately. Along with the back-to-school stuff that many of us are dealing with, my family has had some other things going on, too - good, but still time-consuming. For one thing, DH is presenting a paper at Oxford this month, so we've been going kind of crazy making arrangements. All 3 of us will be able to go, and it's the first time out of the U.S. for any of us. We're all very excited, but boy!, getting everything set up is sure a lot harder than planning a week's shopping at Albies! :panic1: Hopefully, we'll get there and back without causing any major international incidents. :wink7:
So - once the new preview comes up, I'll be laying low until we get back (which will be on the 21st). I know you'll all keep posting deals and helping each other out like you always do. Thanks for being such a great group!

Diva! How exciting for you! I hope you will have a wonderful time. Life is very different there. We had a friend visit and it took him a long time to get used to all the space here. Great time and safe trip to you and your family. And great success for your hubby.

That's so funny - I was thinking about exactly that today. I read in a Rick Steve's guide book that the whole isle of Britain is the size of Idaho. Coming from western MT, I think it could be kind of claustrophobic. I feel crowded when we go back to visit family in the Twin Cities, LOL. On the plus side, it means we won't have to go very far to find something cool to see or do.
I'm really proud of DH. He's worked very hard, and to get an honor like this is so exciting. And DS is just looking forward to riding British trains and eating 'real' English fish n chips. He saw a breading mix at WM yesterday, and told everyone 'that's real British food!' :giggle2:
