Fuel perks coming to the upstate!

I cant wait ,they have had this in Charleston SC for a while and I was hoping they would start it here .It starts on september 9th woohoo:BigHand:




For every $50 Spent you will receive 5 cents off a gallon of gas up to 20 gallons at Spinx and Shell gas stations. The new cards roll out on Sept 9th in the Spartanburg SC area. Home Depot will also be part of this program and some local eateries and other stores eventually.

Only on visits when you spend $50 or more?
Or on smaller purchases they keep track of your total sales?

It builds up you can spend 1.00 or 10.00 etc per trip and it accumilates they keep track of total sales on the bottom of your receipt ,even counts with face values of coupons but not the double part.my friend told me even prescriptions count.:BigHand:

I asked the store mgr today about the gift cards and he said he would find out,either way i cant wait till wednesday great buy one get one free sale and fuel perks yoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!:BigHand:

I thought this was a great idea at first. Until I saw the list of stores you can use it at. The ones available in my area Pendleton, Clemson, and Seneca, are usually 10-20 cents higher per gallon to begin with. Go figure, the one Shell station in Pendleton that usually has decent prices isn't included. I guess I will let it build up to the $250 amount or whatever the highest one was to get the most off per gallon since it is such a simple process to earn the perks.

i don't understand exactly how it works. I have a $5.17 credit as of yesterday, I spent $90 which is .05 per gallon. So if I go to Spinx and fill up which would be 13 gallons, I would get .05 off/ gallon so I'd save $.65? Or would they take the $5.17 off? if it's only .65 that's not such a great deal!!! Thanks for helping!!

I *think* the total (5.17) that shows on your receipt is the amount toward your next .05 so - you probably had a subtotal of about 105 before coupons? does that sound right?
so you should have a .10 credit per gallon now, and need to spend about 45 (before qs) to get another .05

Your fuel discount is valid for one use, up to 20 gallons. For your safety, only one vehicle can be filled up per transaction.

(if you have a gas can you might want to fill that up too then once you drive some of your gas out of your car you could dump it in - you could also , if you have 2 vehicles... i suppose - position them so that the pump nozzle will reach both tanks, to get your full 20 gallons worth.....)

Yes the double ones are great too! That is basically the only reason why i go to bilo-I am not a huge fan of the store itself, but I have learned to like it with the $ off gas!

Okay, so it takes off EACH gallon? That's pretty good then to me :)
