cvs---Great Deal on Cat Litter

I am stocking up on Cat Litter. Look for the pet area in the front...which I think they are clearing out soon.....and find the litter that comes in a white plastic container (can't think of the name) 14 lbs. It is ringing up 1.75! The containers may be somewhere else, though, so look. Can't beat the deal.........Litter doesn't go bad, does it? Ha!:BigHand:

It is called Pet Central.....it is a white jug with a blue and white label. Hope that helps.

My local store (Marietta, GA) had about 20 jugs/containers. There was a sign saying that they were $6.99...I scanned it to check the price and they were only $.69 each!!!!! I bought 10.

ok....I got 23 jugs LOL..... 20 at $1.75 and the last 3 at .69. The last 3 were at the last store I checked.
Note: You can combine these jugs as there is a lot of empty room in the top of them. My 23 jugs combined down to 16.

First off, thanks for the info. I bought 66 between 8 stores at .69 each. My mom bought 58, and I'm unsure how many stores she went to. We are in the Plano, Allen, Wylie, Garland, Richardson area. I may try to hit McKinney also. I'll just mix it in with my Tidy Cat. This is one of the best deals I have ever gotten. I'm not a hog on advertised specials, but I figured clearance items are fair game!!!

I was in CVS yesterday when a guy came in and bought at least 30 jugs of the litter. They had to put it on one of the big, flat carts with wheels to roll it out to his truck! I saw him in the parking lot and told him that I only use unscented or he wouldn't have got those!

I found these for .69 in NC but only 2-3 per store, so I went store hopping. I don't have cats, but my aunt has a lot and was so excited to get them today. She said she was out and didn't have the money to get anymore. I gave her 7. I wish one of the stores would've had a bunch in the back.

Great for floor dry also to clean up oil spills if you have a mechanic at home. Similar to what they use at the auto shops. I have to go look for it at my stores. I have cats too so it can serve two purposes woohoo.

I found 14 at 1 CVS for .69 and then found 3 more at another CVS thats like 2 miles down the road for $1.75. I told the manager the other CVS had it for .69 cents so he gave it to me for that price.

I found it for .69 today. There were 7 of them and I bought them all! Yep, I was a shelf clearer...sorry...I have at least 8 other stores within about 10 minutes of work so I will be going on a venture for more this week!
They had NO price marked on them, not regular price or clearance so I took it up and had the cashier scan it. I don't think it's a mistake. In my stores they have been in the middle near the seasonal aisles and they are clearing these aisles out, getting ready for Halloween. They are probably just discontinued for now.

Funny - - - I called the store last night when I got home and described the jug to the lady and asked if they had any more. She put me on hold and came back and told me that they didn't have any more, that all they had was "liquid" cat litter. I knew immediately that this was the same that I was looking for but I didn't want to deal with the lady anymore so I just said thank you and hung up. Went back at lunch today and scored 4 more jugs! When the manager heard how cheap they were I could tell that she really hated that she had missed that deal.

I scored 2 jugs at my fav CVS on Wed. Yesterday I stopped at my work CVS and they had nearly 2 shelves FULL of jugs. I checked the $ on the scanner. Sure enough o.69. Bought 6 more - leveing an entire shelf.

Howwever, cashier probably cleared it as she was SHOCKED at the price and when asked said she had cat(s).

With the 25# bag I am currently using I should have enough for 8-10 months. I need to bring it all in & see how much more I can store/stockpile.

I went to two more stores yesterday. The first store only had one left, but the second had 12. I bought them all. This was such a great find as NONE of them have been marked as being on clearance! I probably have close to a years worth of litter for my kitties and paid (after EB's) about what ONE jug would cost. It makes me VERY happy!

Last night, I went into my CVS. I noticed the asst manager at the counter. She told the cashier, "look what I found in the back!" And she bought 4 of them and took them in out in her car.

All of our 90% off items including summer items, kitty litter and CVS brand bandages have returned to regular price. The manager said that the sale was over.
Who knew! I would have thought that when things go 90% off, they would be that way until they were gone. There was a baby pool floatie $0.99 last week, one left this week at $9.99!!
I'm glad I jumped on the kitty litter last week. I was able to get 12 @ $0.69.

I went to CVS today at lunch and they had more of the cat litter but it was in a different package. I ran over to the scanner hoping beyond hope that it was still on clearance but it rang up 5.99.

They did have some bags of cat litter in the front of the store on sale for .99 each, regular price 1.99. I didn't bother with that since I got 16 of the other.

How come it does this? I have access to about a dozen CVS in my area. Two stores had them at .69, got all they had, about 5 jugs. The rest of the stores either didn't have them at all or if they did have them, they were $6.99.

How come the same product in different stores have different prices? Currently, the store closest to me has about 10 jugs, all $6.99. the first time I saw them, they were $1.75. then $3.49, now back to $6.99.
