I've done been to my walgreens several times this week looking for the September IVC coupon book and no luck. Today I asked 3 different cashiers and none of them knew anything about them and 1 said if they did get them the managers probably won't put them out because of the last book with the wipes deal! She said they don't like giving stuff away. They haven't even been putting the ads on the shelf she said because there is a coupon for hair clips that make them 99¢ instead of $2.99! Now I'm wondering do they lose money when they put out walgreen coupons?

If the codes aren't in the system, they won't work. I tried to use a Theraflu coupon from the Healthy Savings book that I picked up at one store and it didn't work at the store that didn't have the coupon books out.

I used coupons from the Sept. IVC book today at a store that didn't have the book out yet. I had gotten it at a store across town. The coupon worked just fine. The only thing that happened was that the BA asked if I had picked up an extra one for her. :giggle2: (I had and gave her one.) I haven't tried using the Healthy Savings booklet at a store that didn't have them out, though.

Well that is ridiculous because these stores get reimubursed by the manufacturer for all IVC coupons. They do NOT lose money.

Have you contacted the district/regional manager in your area? Seems he/she might like to know what this store is up to.

The Dove IVC coupon is for the Deep Moisture, at least that's the one pictured. There are also 2.00/1 Mfr coupons out there as well. So, if your store allows you to use the IVC coupon 2.50/1 and the 2.00/1 mfr coupons it's a great deal :)

Some stores insists on keeping the coupon - but it's a Walgreens coupon - so they really shouldn't need it, should they? I don't even cut them out. I just point to the coupon and they scan it. After 5 stores yesterday, I finally found the September booklet at the last store! It was up front where the old EasySaver books use to be.

This one looks just like last month's back to school savings booklet, except it says "September Coupon Book over $60 in Savings Inside!" on the front. They don't need to keep the coupons. The coupons all expire 9/26.

Youch! thanks! so I take it that the 8.3 oz is only the ensembles? I was hoping it'd be good on the cheaper variety (essentials??) that sometimes goes on sale around $1 :giggle2: Hard to keep up with all the different types of hand soap we have to choose from nowadays.... I checked the coupon while I was there. It is for the 8.3 oz. size, which is the size of the Ensembles soap. The picture on the coupon (although I know the picture doesn't really "count") is of the Ensembles soap. The regular softsoap is 8.5 oz.

I probably stood there for 5 minutes trying to find some way that it could legally work. My beauty advisor, who I love, finally came over to see what was wrong and I explained was I was trying to figure out. She just laughed and said, "cbgo, we can't give you everything free every week. We do want you to keep coming back in." :giggle2:

I guess I'm going to keep using bodywash like everyone else, until there is a sale. At least my hands are super soft from using the cashmere softsoap body wash. :giggle2:

Unless you can get them for free or nearly free, the SS Ensembles are way overpriced. Once you have a pump, just refill it with liquid soap, body wash (hadn't thought of that), etc. My local Walmart store doesn't even carry Softsoap brand products any more. They have their brand, Equate. The Equate liquid soap is like water.

I'm not sure if you are talking necessarily about refilling the soft soap ensembles, But it is not refillable UNLESS you buy the bottom part. :shrug7:

Part of the plan... It's a conspiracy for all those who refill and reuse their soap bottles!! :hysterical:

I tried and it has some kind of mechanism in it that keeps the soap from going down.
I agree though if you can get it for free or near free they are definitely way over priced.

Only the Ensembles are 8.3 oz. and the coupon specifically states "pump."

I find it hard to believe that the Ensembles "base" cannot be refilled. Surely, there has to be some way to refill it??? If not, the Softsoap people are going to make millions of dollars selling new "bases"!!!

From the Softsoap website:

"Can I refill the decorative bottles or disposable bases for Softsoap® BRAND Ensembles hand soap?

No, Softsoap® BRAND Ensembles disposable bases cannot be refilled. The decorative bottles or disposable bases come pre-filled with Softsoap® BRAND moisturizing liquid hand soap so you do not have to refill. Simply keep the pump and switch the base when soap runs out."

Sorry, Softsoap. I'm not drinking that Kool-Aid.

You can refill your hand soap pumps with shampoo or dish washing soap also. I use whatever is free at the time. My dh even uses free shampoo outside as a liquid soap, when he has tools and what not to wash up.

I've refilled one. It's a little slow & tricky though.

I think the pump is priced high so we won't keep buying the base with pump each time. It's a way to get those who won't refill pumps to use less packaging.

I had my store in an uproar last week looking for these. lmao I use the long-handled kind to light my stove (propane, electric start doesn't work) because I don't like getting burned when I use matches. They had the off-brand ones for 2/$3, but couldn't find the BIC ones anywhere in the store. I think the cigarette-lighter type were up behind the cash registers hanging on the wall.

So no...no price here. lol

Ask the cashier or SM about them. I noticed at several stores around here, they just put them out this weekend. I assumed they got them in the last truck on Friday (or just found them in the stockroom?).
