Things at Meijer are going from bad to worst. Just talking to a friend about our check out horror stories.

The cashiers are feed up, the customers have had it. We need to let them know!

It took my friend 14 min to check out with, get this, 3 items! yep three! Today I go and the poor cashier (u-scan) had to swipe her card three or four times for each one of my coupons. She was nice but frustrated, I asked her if they would listen to the cashiers about how bad things are, she said "no"

I really think we need to make them understand the issues we are having. Who has 30 min to check out?

And the issue with the unlimited u-scan, how are you to scan bag and watch your purse all at once? It would only take a minute for an observant thief to see on opening.

I have shopped Meijer for 25+ years but am about to go to wal-mart if this continues.

How can their own coupons not work? why are they taking money away from our frees? I mean if they tell me I get a product for free then it should be free not .06!

I am going to write a letter to corp and wish many would join me.

I'm really getting ticked about the MB q's ringing as 0. They know it's happening. It's not a fluke. But it STILL hasn't been resolved, and that is very poor customer service IMO. Do they think that people won't notice that the money is not being deducted and aren't going to fix the problem so they have a little more money in their pockets? If so, that is just crappy.

I have to agree on the Mealbox q's, if you do not watch your total carefully when the cashier scans them you never can tell (till it's to late) if they took the amount off, some of them are not clear as to which product/size they apply to. I thought there was another post about a software update at their store that did not require cashier intervention at u-scan when using a Mealbox. That has not hit our store yet, they did update the credit card scanners though. Now the 10/$10 is another story in it's self I have several times got less than 1.00 off. If they want to advertise "go there to save money" then they need to fix the Mealbox pronto.

Hmmm, must be just part of the box was free, perhaps a waffle or two.

Did you use a mq for 1.00 and it deducted it off the free one? There seem to be numerous posts with this weeks ad on the computer giving off strange amounts.

Thanks everyone for posting this. I was with my 2 kids when I bought a total of 36 boxes of waffles yesterday. After inspecting my receipt today I did not get my 12 free boxes. In addition to only subtracting of 0.78 off a box of 1.78 waffles, they also adjusted one of my MF coupons for these to 0.50. So I was penalized 0.50 for useing coupons. I spoke to someone at the store who said she would correct my receipt, but said this would continue to happen. Once she told me that I just shouldn't bother to use coupons. Corporate said they could only take my complaint and forward it on. Wow I'm sure glad I drive the extra 10min past Krogers and 15min past WM to go to Meijer:shrug7:.

My taxes are also really messed up too. What are they doing????

This is what I am talking about. How can they advertise it as buy this get this free, when they are not giving it to you free? Coupons are a form of payment, so we paid for the items and we should get the free, completely free.

I really believe we need to let corporate know that they will lose costumers if they continue to play games with us!

We are often accused of fraud, well I would say that is false advertisement!

One coupon per transaction and the second time this week I went in the store they asked me to leave, "You already purchased that item this week"

Are they trying to turn into Walgreens?! The lack of customer service is unacceptable, IMO.

some should compile a list of all the horror stories into a standard letter so we can all email it to corporate separately.maybe also add are own comments to it.

Why not contact the State Attorney General and complain?

You have to be kidding!! That is crazy. Aren't they in the business of selling stuff! Who cares if it is you twice or you and then your neighbor! Still two sales.

Can't we start one of those online petition things. I agree though, we all should write letters about the crappy service we get as couponers. AND how we are getting cheated.

marcina- Do the managers or cashiers watch you or something. I swear, every time I go in I feel like the cashier are praying that I don't go into their lanes. I try to go to different people each time, but I usually end up in the U-scan because it is usually empty.

That is my plan for today!

* just got off the phone. Was told to file a complaint. I asked it this something that is wrong (not giving the full amount of a free) and she said yes.

So I would say many of us should. One voice is ignored, many will be heard.

I posted yesterday how they shorted me $12. I realized today it was more like $16-$18. Even though I gave them 3-2.00 off fruit when you buy Eggo, they only subtracted of 2 of these coupons for each of my transactions.

How do I find the info for contacting the Attorney General?

Can someone point me to the explanation of the Country Time/Kool Aid deal? I have searched a lot of the meijer threads and haven't found it yet! Thanks:sad:

I just did a google search for Michigan attorney general. So I would say do that inserting your state if not MI.

That is Wrong!

Now....this HAS to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard of .....:hysterical:

I have been known to go to Meijer 2 or 3 times in one week because we are out of bread or milk AGAIN. I'm sure Kroger wouldnt care if you bought 2 of the same items in one week - on sale or not.

BTW.... I too have lots of problems with the mealbox coupons. Takes a LONG TIME to check out with just a few items. (The poor cashiers are spread out between like 10 U-scan registers and they have to go from register to register to clear all of the beeps) I once went in to buy 1 pack of cheese. Had 1 coupon for the cheese. Register said I didnt buy that item :shrug7:Its crazy.

I noticed on my receipt, and my cashier confirmed it for me today that, when you use any kind of Meijer coupon, MB etc...it says 0 for it when it rings up, but if you look on your receipt, the amount of the Q is taken off underneath the item itself. For example with the cat food on my receipt it rings it up on sale at $5.99 - $5 for the Meijer Q. But when I actually watch the screen when they scan it, it looks like it's taking off 0 because that's what comes up on the end, but it does take it off, just underneath the item. My cashier said she's had lots of complaints about it, and no matter how much she tries to show the customer, they don't get it.

That's not true-- not all the coupons are working, like the koolaid one, or the dannon one. Many do not change the total at all after scanning them. You have to watch very closely. When they *do* work, that is how it should show on the receipt.:shrug7:

It must be certain stores. I've went to mine several times, and every coupon has worked, including the kool aid ones.
