I tried to purchase these today with the $1 off coupon and the lighters are on sale for $2.39. They tried EVERY way they could think of and finally just adjusted down the price to .39 cents and threw the coupon in the drawer... just a warning to those intending to use it... be ready for major issue... not only does it not double, but it just doesn't scan at all!

I bought these, and they scanned fine, but they didn't double.....
It took a while, but the CSM came up with....the doubles do not apply to tobacco products and the lighter is considered a tob. product........Sounds reasonable.....I would love to have bought more,

and there is a coupon for the Glade candles in them BUT it expired 12/08... sigh... can they do anything worse to a couponer than give them expired coupons?????

I had this exact problem at the first store they tried everything too they tried to manually enter the price of the coupon & select the lighter but the lighter did not show up in the list of products (all of my coupons scanned & the cashier did not have to select anything so I know she did not select it earlier) finally they just said they could not take the coupon. At the next store it was the same thing so they had me pay & then customer service refunded me the $8.00 because I had four.
I want to get more but not if it is a hassle like this.

I know... I had like 20 more of those coupons but am contemplating just forgetting them rather than deal with THAT hassle... and in some Kmarts they are now on sale for $1.49 which makes them totally FREE... ugh!
