Hii..I have only 1 cvs eb card on my name. can i get 1 more card on my husbands name..if so can i get all free things on his cards too?? bcoz free things will have some limit per household...so if they have limit 1 per household that means i can get only on any 1 card???or is it ok to get on my DH's card to...is it a fraud??:hectic1:...I heard ppl who have 4 cards per house they get 4 free items...so confusing..

They used to allow multiple cards with diff names in one household, but they changed the rules sometime in the past couple years to 1 card per household. Thats why you will see some ppl have multiple cards because they are form the old rules. As of now, you can only have 1 card per addy
And yes it is limit "per household", so in reality even if you have 5 cards, you are only supposed to get the limit of an offer once.

It is a hard one, I have two cards. But if push comes to shove I also have two "households" one in Tx and one in CT.

FYI - This forum is not built on mods answering every question. When a member posts a question, everybody can answer and give their opinion.
As for multiple cards - supposedly, the rule is 1 per household. Now, if you have MIL, SIL and other family members that live somewhere else, what can stop you from getting cards in their name (with their approval, of course) and shop for them with their cards? I have a SIL that DH and I try to support in any way possible due to her limited income.
And yes, a lot of people have cards for every family member in the same household, dog, cat, bird and reptile they own. But it is for them to decide if they are wrong or right. BTW, to make it easier on you, this discussion about multiple cards in the same household comes up every once in a while. It is a very tricky thing to talk about it as it all comes to how one interpret the rules. And if you call CS or ask a manager, you will get different answers every time you do it. So, I just leave it at this - if you want to have a card for every household member, do it. It is your choice and who am I to tell you how to live your life?
Oh and btw, some people can't manage more than 1-2 cards. I personally manage 3 and if more of our family moves here, might expand to more cards. Maybe... But that's my way of doing it.
Also, I can see that you are a newbie... This thread will answer a lot of your questions and is built to help newbies to become pros and not get too overwhelmed . :wavehi: http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/cvs-need-hand-were-here-help/195681-cvs-seedladys-wagon-train-guide-newbies.html

i have no idea how i missed this post until today, but i answered the question a month or so back in the wagon train.
as far as i know, you can have as many cards as you want, but you can only do the deal the number of times that the limit says. so, i can have 50 cards, and do the shampoo deal once.

Hmmmm.......I am relatively new, too. And I had just opened a card in my DD's name. She will be getting married later this month to a poor college graduate with way too many school loans. She was trying to work out a budget, and I was hoping to surprise her with a card having ECB's, some CVS knowledge, and the supplies that I was able to gather for her from this card. I'm hoping that this is not breaking a couponer's code of ethics.

your household is the number of people who live at your address. all those people together can do the glade candle once this week.
so, you can decide whether to buy it on your card, your husband's card, your daughter's card, or the cat's card. cvs doesn't care.

That's a very sweet thing to do! I don't see anything wrong with you establishing her a card - you're in turn establishing CVS a loyal customer. And technically it will be used in a new household.

No, it will not beep. The register does not read the address on the card.
Advice: if you want to get your DH a card, do so. You are not going to have any problems at the register. You should register it on cvs.com under Extra Care and make sure you check that you want to receive valued offers, that way you do not have to call CS and give them the info. Also, put a different phone # under your DH's card and different email (that way, you do not have to guess whose card received $/$$ thorugh email). The only thing that register does is it reads the card number. If you forget the card, you can give them a phone number under that card and the register will automatically know the card number.
So, the most important thing - a different phone number and email for each card.
