My 2 DD's just bought themselves each one of the zhu zhu pet hamsters. They were $8 each at Walmart.
Lots of fun to watch!!! They have sensors on them, so they aren't constantly running into things. When they come within a few inches of something, they turn and start going in a different direction.

Ooh, I am always looking for interactive things like this for my dogs. They'd go nuts. How do these things do on carpet?

We have mice in our out building and just the other day I saw a baby black snake. I could send you a box full of new and different interactive things! No issue with the carpet either.

Oh goodness. I think I'll pass on the mice and snakes, lol. My dogs were having a field day with this huge bug with wings earlier today. They must have injured it a bit because it couldn't get more than an inch or two off the ground. They both kept pawing at it, getting close to sniff and then backing away when it moved. And when it started to try to fly, its wings kept hitting the ground and they are jumping all over each other trying to get out of the way but still be close enough to see what was going on. Nature does have some cool FREE interactive toys, lol. My dogs love bugs.

I just saw these advertised on TV today. They looked so cute!! And there was all kinds of cages and accessories you can get.
