My VA Kroger circular had a coupon for "$25 in free food" for filling a transferred prescription at kroger pharmacy. Has anyone used this yet? I was just curious how it worked. Will I get a gift card or do I need to buy at least $25 in food when i pick up the script? It says can not be combined with other coupons so if I have to buy the food right away I will likely get meats and produce so I want to be prepared.

Thanks!

okay there was a third option i did not think about. i transfered an rx today and they gave me a $25 credit on my vauled customer card. I am not complaining about free money but since this comes off before coupons it is going to be hard to use the oyno cats that I have expiring in the next couple weeks. Not many things at my kroger is a good deal without a doubled coupon.

selling cooked chicken breast in deli for $1 ea. Was special sale in monday's paper. Not advertized in store as is constantly sold out and cook special to fill orders. Was good all week

Yep - I used the q & got the $25 credit on my valued customer card too. I ran into the same problem with the q's ~ the register takes the $25 off before coupons, so if your total is $25 or less, you can't use your q's. It used to be that the register asked you if you wanted to use the pharmacy credit, but now it doesn't. I had a manager come over to see if there was any way around it, but there wasn't. I ended up putting all the items I had coupons for back & just bought the items I didn't have coupons for. I must say that I'm not so thirlled with the way they are doing this now ~ just another hoop to jump through.
