I found some 1.00/4 Martha White tearpads at food lion last night. Makes them .98 for 4

Using the Deli FLIP, you can get 1/2 lb of ham and the 8pc Fried Chicken for ~$3.50
3.00 1/2 lb Canadian Maple Ham (make sure it is just a HAIR over 1/2 lb. It nearly always is)
6.99 8pc Fried Chicken (I think this is regular price - someone correct me if I'm wrong)
=10.00
-1.50 (MVP ham)
-2.00 (MVP chicken)
-3.00 ($3/$10 Deli Purchase - exp. 12/31)
=3.50 Total
I don't know the regular prices of the other deli sale items, or I'd try some other scenarios. There may be a better one to pair with the ham than the chicken.
You could just buy ham:
10.00 - 1.67 # Canadian Maple Ham
-5.00 - MVP
-3.00 - $3/$10 Deli FLIP
=2.00 (or $1.20/lb)

This week I did a similar deal with the chopped ham and the fried chicken. The lady at the deli was sooooo proud that she got it at exactly 1 lb. I was so pissed because I had to buy something else in the bakery since I was 0.02 short to use the 3/10.
But I am glad that I can do it again this week with some better ham!
And yes, the fried chicken is $6.99 reg price. It is not the greatest, but it makes for a quick and easy meal.
ETA: I have a question about the rotisserie chicken. On Fridays you get $1 off. Does this still work when it is on sale? I went to get one this past Friday but they were all sold out at 5:30pm so I had to get fried chicken.

You must have a stinky Food Lion, because around here, their chicken is great...probably the best in town. Usually I'd say KFC hands down, but we have some majorly crappy KFC's here. I won't even set foot in them anymore...been burnt tooooooooo many times.
On the other hand, HT's chicken is good sometimes. They are hit or miss. Lowes Foods chicken is pure crap. It is SOOOOOOO bad!
Either way, love me some FL fried chicken. The kids love it too. My daughter does a little dance when we have FL chicken.

I saw that and got so excited! The 20 limit per visit per day is confusing a bit. I assume the "per day" trumps the per visit and it's 20 total.
Do you (or anyone else) know why they are doing it? Is someone else doing triples that I don't know about? :wavehi:

I like to make my fried chicken from scratch. But yes, my FL chicken is crap. The rotisserie chicken is usually black and burned. Maybe I will go to a different store and see if things look better.
I am happy that the chicken breasts are .97/lb. Maybe we will get a meat department or chicken FLIP.

There was a sign up here saying the $1 off on Friday wouldn't apply since it's on sale.

Yes, the 20 per day is the limit so if anyone posts about triples - make sure you are sticking to the 20 per day rule (even if your store manager allows otherwise) - thanks! Seemed like a good place for a general public service announcement from your friendly FL mod - LOL!
As far as your other question - Harris Teeter is having Super Doubles (coupons up to $1.98 will double, $1 = $2, $1.50 = $3, etc) so maybe that's why? I don't know, the FL stores around here have never even doubled, let alone tripled!

Thanks. We don't have a HT near me (don't know about the rest of the state) but they might be trying to get people into the stores here to see their prices and stuff to grab some kroger and publix shoppers.

Maybe Georgia is a test market for FL triple cpns. Here in upstate, SC our Bloom stores have been tripling for the last month and again this week. I think they are doing test market areas for triples to see if they can get some of the Bilo, Publix, and Harris teeter customers

Well, they will get my business with triples. I'm excited to go in and see what I can get for free. I just hope all my HCW ppl leave some of the deals for me at the Fayetteville store in GA :wink7:
Will the .25/1 Bounty Coupon in the 8/02 P&G not count for the Bounty Basics that will be on sale for .79 starting Friday? I hope so because .04 a roll is a great deal.
Food Lion is new to the area. Not sure of the prices for items. Wondering what we can get for free or really cheap...??

I think it is. It says "any bounty towel" I recall in the past those qs were good on basic.
I'm hoping someone leaves us some paper towels too! It was crazy the last fl sale, there was no kraft cheese! I've only gone in once, their prices are ok. I figure with a few good .75 qs and triples we can do alright. They are higher than kroger because they don't double but cheaper than publix.

I live near a store that is doing the triples. I had a short trip, so I'm planning to go back tomorrow, but my store had bounty on sale for .99 rather than .79. I couldn't figure out why I thought it would be nearly free until I came back here and saw what it was supposed to be.
If you have the .55 off 2 Meuller's pasta coupon, you can get the smallest boxes of spaghetti for either real cheap or free. I don't remember exactly.
I'll probably post later with what deals I got.

Yes, I've used the PG Qs on the Basic. I got the $1/2 Q, so .29 each! I better get down there fast.
Depends on the week, but I've gotten good deals there. I also find alot of coupons there -- my other stores are stingy. I like getting the weekly FLIPs to get Qs on store brands or $x/xx on deli, bakery, produce -- which are hard to come by elsewhere.

I have found the best booklets, tearpads and peelies in food lion too. My friend lives in NC and her's always has a ton of tearpads. Maybe because they usually don't double? Who knows. Fayetteville had tons of the paper towels the other day. They were on enedcaps and on pallets in the back near the cold stuff.

I don't know where you are located at, but my FL has them for .39/lb but the pre mvp price is 0.89/lb. So I bought 3 bags for pre mvp 26.70, after mvp price 11.70 and after 5.00 coupon only 6.70 for 30 lbs....
I did the same thing with the ground beef. it was pre mvp 2.29/lb and after mvp 0.99/lb.. So I got roughly 9 lbs for 4.00.. My freezer is full.

I am in WS too. I am kinda bummed that the ground beef (or chuck or whatever) is "on sale" for $1.88/lb. I hate that my meat prices are so much more than in other areas. I will probably still end up getting some just because it is still cheaper than normal.
I have my fingers crossed that the chicken is actually on sale here next week.

When I went on Friday ( I guess I am considered Charlotte Market) our ground beef was only $1.88lb. I did see a lot of meat that was marked down and would have gotten some (especially since I have a MIR for $10/$10 steak!) but I had less than $2. I am hoping they have it that good when I go back Monday morning.
