I just saw the ad about triples in my Columbus Dispatch. Too bad I don't have many 50 cent and lower coupons. I keep hoping that they will surprise us with super doubles!!!!

I can't wait. Of course, I work tomorrow evening but I'm off the remainder of the weekend. I will keep an eye out for good deals coming through my lane. No surprises. Darn.

I was sadly disappointed in the prices at my local Kroger. Deals could be found, but it took me quite a bit more time than usual. Most of my savings came by combining my coupons with my Cellfire, Shortcuts and P&G e-coupons. It seemed to me that Kroger had raised their prices anticipating the triples event. Hmmm...go figure...

I agree. I didn't do too well with the triples either. My big score was Purell 2 oz. hand sanitizers for $.19 each. I also got free dental floss and Suave deod. but that was it. Most other things were very expensive I thought.

now, Kroger wouldn't go do something like that ... maybe! ... Heck, they're givin' ya a good deal on triples ... weren't you listening when they said so?!!:hysterical: (just messin' with ya!)
Seriously, hope y'all's works out better than in SW region ... we had Super Doubles Saturday and now only 1 Q d/t per order now:sad: ... maybe your triples (and nice ones, too!) will stay in effect!!:wink7:

I had planned to go back this weekend b/c I didnt use my raincheck and .35/1 seasoning coupons and my .50/1 texas toast coupons. But honestly it just wasnt worth the time or energy. I cant believe how few things were a good deal. I use to clean up at Super Doubles last year and the year before when they did it regularly and this is such a dissapointment. I know we should be greatful we got anything but geesh. Most Krogers in this region double to .99 every day ours doubles to .50 only so your only saving an extra .50 and only on a 4 or 5 things. And if they are trying to compete with those stores doing triples then they need to do .75 like the other stores. Id just like to see them go back to super doubles.
Id also like to see them give all regions something even if its just crappy triples it would be better than nothing I guess. Atleast then it would be more convienient than me driving 35 miles the opposite direction of everything to get to the one Kroger that does it here.

I just smacke myself right on the head when I read this!
I was thinking we normally get .55 qs and I was thinking theyd double at Kmart and they were like 1.89 or something and I even looked at them at Kroger and thought to myself Id get the towelettes if they were doubling .55 and maybe a couple small ones.
My stupid coupons WERE for .50 and I couldve got purell and the purell towelettes that were on clearance for a good deal. But for some reason I didnt have that insert with me when I checked prices Thurs and Friday I just kept thinking it wouldnt triple. :rolleyes24:
Oh well! Thanks for the info wish Id had read sooner :giggle2:

Well, HBAqueen, don't feel too badly. I used the $.50 off coupons on the 2 oz. size and the poor cashier was so dippy she kept telling me that the coupons excluded that size (in reality it was the 1 oz. size that was excluded). I finally had to unbag the stuff and show her that the size I bought was NOT the 1 oz. that was excluded. It almost wasn't worth the hassle. :giggle2:
