I'm only on the gas deals, and I think my head is going to explode...I get the instant savings, and I"m seeing some great deals...I don't know how I'm going to fit in work, the vet, cleaning, and my bf with the shopping I will be doing.....

so its a hot week for savings for you mayanfire??

For my family, its the veggies, the jello pudding and maybe the lean cuisine.

I can guess though, that the chinet would be a really good deal if you have the q's for 2/1 and the B1g1 q's too.

Mt Olive Pickles $1.45 - .75/1 dbled to $1 = .45 or free (my area only doubles everything up to $1 and thats it.. I wish they doubled it an extra .75 instead of just a stingy .25 ..to make them free.

Hefty One zips might go good with the $1/1 Blinkies. unless they are already Expired??

Chinet plates are looking appealing esp. with all the good coupons out. $2/1 and B1G1F tearpads.

Solo Paper Plates Look around for those .55/1 & .50/1 peelies good on any Solo Product

Lots of BC printables available for the gas deals print them now while you can before they go.

BC fruit shapes not bad. remember Giant only doubled 1 of the same coupon. this is where the $1/2 Coupons come in good use. isnt there a cat deal on these as well Buy 4 get $2.50 OYNO maybe a double dip!!!

Fiber one Yogurts 2/$4 if you got the Psst home mailers there are $1.35/1 coupons that may these super cheap.

ill try to do some more deals later tonight I have to get around for work.. ttyl

I got in. So, what ever you did worked. Thanks! I think the instant savings deals could be pretty good. The grapes $0.97/lb again!! I'm going to get a bunch of those. The ground turkey is $1.69/lb. again - that makes 3lbs/$5.07. Can't wait to see what everyone else has their eye on.

Minute Maid 'fruit' punch - .99 ea. I believe that is comparable to Wal-Mart's every day price.

Pillsbury Biscuits (Grands) 1.25 - there are lots of Qs out there (printables too I believe)

Chex Mix 2/$3 - lots of Qs out there for this too (not free, but pretty cheap! - I get gas pts)

Betty Crocker Cookie Mix 1.69 - there are .40/1 Qs - good for treats!

Gerber Graduates meals BOGO - $1/2 home mailers

Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggies 1.69 - there are $1/3 and .50/2 Qs available. If you have a Giant Eagle near you, they are having an excellent deal on Birds Eye veggies (not steamfresh though I don't believe).

Hormel Completes 1.89 - there are $1/1s available so .89 for lunch!

Ragu 4/$5 - there are some sort of Ragu Qs out there. Not sure what they are though. Last year around this time they ran a cat and a deal at the same time I got them for about .10 a jar or so!!

I lost my connection to the ad, so this is as far as I can go for now. Plus, I have to pick up the kiddos. Hope this helped somebody!

Ok. I'm back for the last couple of pages....Aaaah. Kids are asleep, jammies on...it's a good night!!

Turkey Hill Ice cream 2/$5 - There are home mailers for .50/1 or $1/1 making them 1.50 each

Tyson Anytizers 3.19 - not sure if this is a good price but there are Qs out there. I was thinking they were $1 but am not positive. This is not something we often buy.

Yoplait yogurt 10/$5 - lots of different qs available

Apples .99/lb in a bag - looks like a great price, but can you freeze them or anything other than in a pie!?

Fresh green beans .99/lb - that's a good price for a sale

Strawberries 1.47 - good price

Grapes .97/l - agree with previous post - great price. stock up and freeze em

Perdue Split Chicken Breast BOGO - I wonder how this compares to the 40% off price at Weis. I know BOGO makes for 50% off basically, but it could depend on who has the lowes per lb price (and also factor in gas points at Martin's)

Snyders of Hanover lunch packs 3.49 - Aren't there $1/1s around? I remember cutting them but am not positive of the amt.

Snapple Green Tea 4/$5 - there were printables for BOGO on Snapple's website. Not sure if they are still there or not. Worth a shot.

I saw a couple Pepperidge Farm items throughout the ad if you want to try the deal mentioned in another thread. There are some different Qs out (for breads and crackers). Not sure if they tie into what is on sale or not. If you are looking for a list of items that are part of the deal, you might want to try near the deli cheeses where they had displays around Christmas time or possibly in the bread section. I haven't been there to check.

Lean Cuisine 5/$10 - That's an ok price. I usually get them (or Healthy Choice) when they are $2. Lately I have noticed them dropping below $2 though. Not every week of course, but every couple of weeks (or they get included in the gas deals).

Well, that's about all folks. Sorry I can't be more specific in some of my examples, but that is the best I can do with time constraints. Have a wonderful night and hope you all sleep well :=)

There are tear pad coupons out for $1 off the 17.5 oz. Green Teas as well as some buy 3 get 1 frees.

Using 4 $1 coupons: $1.00 for 4 or $.25 each.

Using 3 $1 coupons and a B3G1 Free (if they let you): $.75 for 4 or about $.19 each.

Anyone know what the instant savings deals are?

The Gas deals are:
Buy 5 save 20 cents a gallon.
Buy 6 save 20 cents a gallon.
Buy 3 save 40 cents a gallon.

So the Instant Off deals would be:
Buy 5 and receive $____ off instantly.
Buy 6 and receive $____ off instantly.
Buy 3 and receive $____ off instantly.

The categories and the items in the categories stay the same, it's just the deal (gas or instant savings) that varies from store to store.

I'm just wondering if it is worth my while to do a gas deal locally (even though the closest station is 25 minutes away to the west*) or if it's worth traveling 20 minutes east to do the instant off savings.

Thanks!

(*As an aside note, I am really, really tired of gas deals when there isn't a gas station that is local. What "savings" we get from doing the gas deals is actual eaten up by the travel required to go to and from the gas station. It seems to me that the deals should only run at stores that have a station at the store or within 5 miles of the store. But that's just my rant.)

$10.50 profit for every 6 Chinet!!!!

Do you actually have to have 9 chinet in your cart to make that work?
I can see using the $2 Qs on the first 3 you got. But then I thought you would have to pay for the next 3 and then get 3 more free?

If you did an order of 12, used (6) $2 lunch plate Qs and 3 BOGOs, that would get you the .80/gallon....

You could very well be right about your scenario, I just don't understand. :wink7:

Not sure I understand your question.....

For every 6 plates you get, my ad states that I get .40 in gas
So I am gonna buy 6 plates and use (3) $2 q's and (3) BOGO q's for a total of 6 and get .40 off a gallon. Going to rinse and repeat about 4 times.

I am able to use a q for every product I purchase, if that helps.

I didn't realize you could use all 6 Qs and only have 6 items since the one Q was a BOGO. I thought you would have had to buy 9 items to be able to use all 6 Qs.

At my store you can use as many IP's as you want, but only one will double per transaction.

So I had an odd experience this morning at Giant (State College - College Ave store). I went to do the following deal:

1 BC fruit snack
3 Nature Valley bars
2 Chinet plates (1 lunch 36 ct, 1 crystal)

used
$1/1 Chinet lunch
$1/1 Chinet crystal
$0.40/1 BC
$0.70/2 Nature Valley
$.50/1 Nature Valley

I was surprised because only ONE of my Chinet coupons doubled. They said that the rule is not one double per like COUPON, but one double per BRAND. My cashier did this, and I went to Customer Service and they confirmed. This is not how I've ever had Giant use doubles in the past -- and even in my order, the two Nature Valley coupons both doubled! When I pointed this out the customer service rep said, "Well, it wasn't supposed to, so you saved $0.50 that you shouldn't have."

I'm baffled!

Regarding doubling coupons and internet coupons:
Go here: https://www.giantfoodstores.com/shareddev/sharedcontent/savings/doublecoupons.cfm
to the GiantPA Website. I couldn't cut and paste it but it says:
"We reserve the right to limit one (1) double coupon per same coupon per day, per customer."
So, since your coupons were different, they should have doubled. I would contact corp on it and reference this link.

Regarding the internet coupons:
It just says you can redeem coupons printed from the internet, no coupons for freebies, or those w/ a value greater than $5 (or of course any Q that appears to be fraudulent).
The internet coupons should double just like other coupons.

I am pretty sure that the Chinet q's have the same barcode. Even the q for the cups and the plates have the same barcode:sad:
At that store you really have to check the barcodes as this has happened to me in the past. If the barcodes would have been different, they would have doubled.
The reason the Nature Valley q's doubled was because they are two different coupons and have two different barcodes. One was for .50 and one was for .70.
You can use 100 different coupons in the same transaction and they will all double as long as all the bar codes are different.
Hope that makes sense:smile:

My Giant Matchups for this week. These are all the items I could find with matchups.

I noticed this week that many Giants have different circulars and sales, even when they are few miles apart. Giant is having many grand reopenings and new store openings in PA, so you may notice that your ad is slightly different. I would take your coupons along, but you may find your store does not have the items on sale listed. I have put an asterik next to the items that I did not see in all the circulars. Of course, I can’t check all the stores, but I did check quite a few. Also, my numbers are using the assumption that Giant doubles up to $.50 and only one like coupon.

Thanks all, for keeping this going!
I am at the library for a few minutes only, before they close.
I just wanted to add that if your area got the .75/1 Mt. Olive Qs:
FREE Pickles!
Now, I'm headed home to see if I have Chinet Qs. They don't ring a bell.

NO CATALINA for Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters.

I bought 6 of these for the gas deal today and used 6 - 1.00/1 coupons. Was also hoping that maybe a catalina would print, but it did not, so guess not included in the Nature Valley Granola Bars catalina deal.

Hope this saves someone else from testing.

Can anybody tell if multiple flavors of Cheerios are on sale for 2.19? And are they included in the gas deal?

I have the same question about the Grands biscuits. When I went today, the only ones that had the gas tags under them were the plain (not the cinnamon ones). Are other flavors included in the sale and the gas deal?

TIA!

Just a heads up, I did the Gerber meal BOGOs and the second one did not come off free. I have to go to CS for a correction.
