Hiya :wavehi:
My hubby goes to KC for work a few times a month. We dont have Hyvee in SWMO but I wondered if it might be worth it to take a shopping list with him when he goes up to KC. Anyone here shop in that area ? I found out about HYvee thru a google search for KC grocery stores. I havent found any others yet. DO either of the KC stores double ? Thanks so much ! Id love to *meet* someone in the KC area.

Hy-Vee does not double-every once in a while there will be a good deal-but for the most part-I shop there very rarely-usually when I do-I end up getting more hassle than it is worth.

This week there are some great deals at Hy-vee. They don't double coupons but often have instore coupons that can be combined with mfr coupons. I shop there often lately!

I'm on the other side of Iowa and currently have Hy-Vee, Fareway (small), a small locally owned grocery store, and Wal-Mart. I can tell you I do the bulk of my regular shopping at Hy-Vee. Sometimes I can get good deals. I'm single so not all of the deals that moms of families go for apply to me though.

Hi Tracy!
I've seen you in the Dillons forum.....:-)
A nice grocery store in the KC area that doubles is Hen House. They double Q's up to $0.50. So....a 50 cent Q will double to $1.00, but a $0.60 Q will only take off $0.60. Did I say that right???
They have some REALLY good deals there sometimes. I have to say I've been in a slump with them lately. I have only been couponing 7-8 months......so, I hope more good deals are to come.
I know I'm mentioning Hen House in the Hy-Vee forum....sorry....!! :-)
I live in Lawrence (outside KC). For me, Hy-Vee is the "expensive" grocery store...(I have Dillons that doubles). But sometimes Hy-Vee can run a great deal....I rely on the folks in this form a bunch for help since I do not stop there regularly.

Hi Amy - Thanks for your post. It seems like maybe KC is not the best place to plan a shopping trip ! I wonder if thats why you guys get better coupons than we do down here in Springfield ?!? I hope you get better doubles at Dillons than at HH ! We get coupons doubled up to $1 total. So that .60 Q would be $1 .
