I went and stocked up on cereal and pop tarts on Sunday and received a Catalina regarding a Kraft Rebate promotion that I believe starts on Friday the 7th (could be Sunday the 9th though). The deal was if you bought $25 worth of participating Kraft items (examples include Jello gelatin/pudding cups, DiGiorno Pizza, Crystal Light, Mac N Cheese, etc) that you would get a Catalina for $5 off your next shopping order and a mail in rebate for $20.

I'm a newbie, so I'm not sure if this is the place to post about this, but I may have a heads-up on this deal. It seems some stores will not honor it until the 12th, even though websites are claiming the deal starts on the 7th.

I read about it online, mistakenly thinking today was the 7th. I went out & bought $25 worth of items (no coupons, as I'm new to this), and of course did not get the Catalina coupons. When I talked to the manager, she didn't know anything about the deal, but said if I brought her the information on it, she'd make sure to get me the coupons.

I realized my error regarding the date & ended up taking the stuff back (to a second location, as daily errands had taken me across town by this point) for a refund, telling them I'd come back & buy tomorrow. That's when a manager told me that I shouldn't waste my time coming back tomorrow, because this deal doesn't start until the 12th. Her assistant manager pointed out that I had a print-out that showed the 7th as the starting date, but of course the manager said they don't have to honor that, as it's, "just some junk off the internet."

They did refund me for my items, and I plan to go back on the 12th to re-purchase. But I'm sure they're going to have a few people complaining about this between the 7th & the 11th.

The 12th would make sense- that's the start of next week's ad. I was hoping for something good to with the rebate program. Now we just have to wait patiently (or as patiently as possible) to find out details on this one!

It's not so much a matter of stores not honoring it or not. It depends on when it's working through the catalina system. The cat advertisement I got says between 8/7 and 8/23. But even if the deal does start on the 7th, it might be worth waiting to see if the next Albie's ad has Kraft items on sale.

I did this deal tonight at mukilteo store...rang up total of $27.52, used coupons and 2 doublers for $$7.20 off, and although I held my breath, as I had asked cashier if was the deal was working there yet, and he did not know, after paying and waiting about 30 seconds, LOL, the $5 oyno printed, and so did the rebate form..whew..... I bought 2 jello puddings-4.19, using a found blinkie right beside them for 60cents off each, 4 deli creation sandwhiches at 3.29 each, and had 2- $1/2 coupons, and 2 -$1.00 doublers, and last 2 crackerfulls crackers at 2.99 each, with 2-$1/1 coupons. we both thought was not going to work, and just as the cashier said" do you want to talk to the manager abut it"...the cats rpinted, LOL. so...retail was $27.52, coupons took off $7.20, oop was $20.32, paid using my $15 oyno cats from the 30/15 deal I did earlier today, and rest in cash, got the $5 opyno cat, and the rebate to turn in for $20..pretty sweet deal!!!

On the Albertsons catalina forum someone said they had a catalina print out starting this Friday for Velveeta cups. Buy 2 get a $1.00 off on your next order. If you put your velveeta buy one get one free couppon from Sunday you would technically get them both free. I am going to try it and do the deal on Friday as part of my $25.00. I have to find more q's!

I just got back from Albertsons a little while ago (I usually shop the last day of the sale late at night) and there were coupons in my store for some kraft items.

A booklet "Save $55.00 Throughout The School Year" inside are various $1.00/2 coupons for things like Nabisco, Planters, $1.00/1 Planters nut-rition and there are two $20 rebates WYB (10) Nabisco Cookies or Crackers and (5) Beverages: Kool aid Jammers or Capri Suns

I also found a tearpad for $0.55/3 Jell-O Gelatin (not that I need more Jell-O)

And a tearpad for Free Cool Whip Whipped Topping, 8 Oz. Tub (up to $1.79) WYB (1) 6-serve package of Jell-O brand instant pudding AND (1) box of Nilla wafers

Also found $1.00/2 Kraft Easy Mac cups tearpad too.

And while this tear pad was not new tonight they have a $0.50/1 on the Kraft Natural cheese....

I found b2g1 free TP Qs at Albertsons today for the Velveeta cups x 3/31/10, I also have blinkies for $1/2.
I have $1/1 blinkies from a couple of months back too for the Flatbread melts and there may still be peelies around for b2g1 free, I think they were on the Pizza-for-one - b2 Pizza for One get flatbread melt free.

some of the items listed in the albertsons ad as participating in the kraft promo isnt part of the promo and then the rebate form doesnt print. you have to make sure all the items you buy at alb. correlate with the official participating products list on kraftfoods.com.

also the address on the envelopes that the store has are wrong. you have to use the address listed on the printed rebate form. so dont use the envelopes lol.

Has anyone else compared the add to the list?? I found that several items in the add are not on the "list of participating items". The ones I remember are A-1, Velveeta cheese, To Go cookie cups, and Parm cheese... I bought the Cookies/capris/easy macs for the other rebate and the Cat for the $20 rebate did print... I plan on sticking to the list to make sure the rebate isnt denied.

BUT - the list at Albertsons only shows the 2.1 oz size for both cups. I accidentally grabbed 2 of the 2% Velveeta cups (they were in the wrong spot, with a Kraft MIR tag hanging beneath them). They didn't ring up at $1, but since the size matched Kraft's list, I didn't worry about it. Well, of course, my MIR and $5 OYNO did not print. I went to CS, and was totally frustrated because even though I went back and grabbed 2 regular velveeta cups, they only concentrated on the fact that I paid a final total of $7.98. I tried to point out to them that that was partly due to paying with multiple $5 cats from last week's deal - that had nothing to do with Kraft or Nabisco. That didn't matter to them, they just kept telling me that I had to pay $25 after all coupons. It's the store nearest my house, but I HATE that store. So, I'm out $25 & all I get is that it's my fault. I am so P*****!! Sorry for venting.

Sorry you had such a terrible trip Diva! I had a similar experience last week with the spend $30 get $15 cat. I went at night and did not receive my cats. I later figured out that I didn't receive them because the cashier manually entered some of my coupons. Anyways, customer service and the night "manager" wouldn't help me. Kept saying that I had to actually spend $30 before all the coupons. They finally told me to come back during the day when the store director was working. So I went back the next morning and the assistant store director gave me a gift card for what I did not recieve in cats.

Can you try talking to the store director? Or go back at a different time during the day?

Hope you get this resolved. It's so frustrating to do the deal according to the ad only to find out you don't get your cats.

My MIL asked me to do a few rebates for her as she is coupon/deal clueless ($10 WYB 10 Kellogg's, $20/$5 cat WYB $25 Kraft, and Kraft $20 cookies/drinks/MacnCheese cups Booklet rebate), but she does not have an Albertson's card.

Does anyone know, if I use my card for her transactions, will that affect her getting the rebates, even though they are going to her at her address? I've never done a rebate before and I don't know if they try to track people by their Albies number listed at the top of the receipts.

I'm just trying to figure out if I should sign her up for her own card (I'm sure she'll never shop there- she is the type to buy whatever it is she wants, regardless of the price, but FIL passed away 3 weeks ago, so she is now on a budget and could use some "freebies") or use my card (and earn gas points while I'm at it!).

The first time the Asst Store Manager 'helped' me telling me several reasons why it likely didn't print for me then rerang the order on the self check area without Q's and it printed and he gave me those. The second time I didn't even bother to ask because I knew the answer I would get and just left.

First Transaction=23 Easy Mac & 3 Velvetta cups. (they were out of the velveta, I took the last 3). Plus I was using my rain check for the poptarts.

2nd Transaction: 3 Kraft Bricks, 2 Kraft Shreds, 4 Kraft Singles, 1 CPK Flatbread melt, 1 Digorno Flat Bread Melt, Plus some meat. (Nevermind I see what I did on this one.....that is only $23. Teach me to go back and do a second transaction when I am already frustrated!)

The cat machine wasn't even blinking so I walked away. I wonder how many people this week got $5 catalinas for no reason (ie they were ours)! On top of that, it has been noticed that some items on Albertsons list are not on the big Kraft list. What kind of Velveeta cups did you get in trans #1? I got the 2% kind unintentionally and I think this may have been what screwed it up (if in fact the cats weren't just given to the person behind me in line :rolleyes24: ). It is kind of taking the fun out of what should be a fantastic week.

However, when I did my purchase to go towards the easy mac/capri sun/cookies or crackers deal, I did get my cats - but they didn't print til WAY after the cashier already started scanning the stuff for the person behind me. The cat machine wasn't even blinking so I walked away. I wonder how many people this week got $5 catalinas for no reason (ie they were ours)! On top of that, it has been noticed that some items on Albertsons list are not on the big Kraft list. What kind of Velveeta cups did you get in trans #1? I got the 2% kind unintentionally and I think this may have been what screwed it up (if in fact the cats weren't just given to the person behind me in line :rolleyes24: ). It is kind of taking the fun out of what should be a fantastic week.

I got the regular kind. They were the only 3 regular kind left in the store. I even had the grocery manager go in the back to look. That in itself messed me up to begin with since I had $1/2 Q's for the Velveta but only .55/2 Q's for the Easy Mac. The cashiers whole outlook on people who use Q's seems to have suddenly changed so I now dread the idea of going back. This was the second store I had stopped at and I had trouble at the first store as well (Safeway). I think it was just not my shopping day. And of course with the 2 little ones in tow and making things more difficult I forgot a couple things I really need so I have to go back probably tomorrow or DH might strangle me. And forgot to get gas on my way out. :rolleyes24:

I also had same kind of problem today at albies...same store i HAVE DONE THE KRAFT PROMO AT TWICE ALREADY THIS WEEK, USING COUPONS, BRINGING TOTAL BELOW $25, YET EVERYTHING PRINTED JUST FINE BOTH TIMES. Today, I did again, just for stuff I needed, and the $5 cat, not for the rebate, and was using the stuff for the pack a smile promo..coupons took below $25, no cat printed...cashier called manager, who had a list of people same thing had happened all day..and he called catalina right then..he took info from my receipt, etc..said it was because coupons took below $25, blah blah..explained had already done it before same way, and cat printed fine..I had to leave, so will see what catalina says...it did print my $1 cat for the velvetta cups, just not the $5 kraft one.

Tried another store/another set of products today. Got 5 5pks of mac & cheese (on sale at that store for $2, not at my other stores - ?), 5 Capri Sun Sunrise, 4 Flatbread melts (2 CPK and 2 DiG), 1 pizza for one (DiG), 1 ritz, 1 bag of shredded cheese.
Has 5 $2 off CS peelies, 4 $1/1 flatbread blinkies , 1 .75/1 pizza insert, 1 peelie for 50c off cheese wyb Ritz, and used 3 doublers. Got the $5 cat and the MIR form. And the cashier even knew why I was standing around and waiting after she gave me the receipt. :shrug7: Dontcha just wish that all the stores could be on the same page?!

Paid $16 OOP, Got $5 cat, $1 cat, and rebate form. I was annoyed because there were only 6 Velveeta cups left and I had enough BOGO Qs for them. My total would have been $13 OOP if they had enough in stock. Its amazing how annoyed I am over a measly $3!

The cashier told me she didn't think that the rebate would print if I used Qs, but I said I wanted to try it anyway. Cats started printing within 20 seconds of paying. I was glad because I was worried that the doubles or the BOGO Qs would mess something up, not to mention all the problems everyone has been having.

I need to do one transaction tomorrow for 10 CPK Pizza for One, then I'll be done with all my Kraft rebates. Should be $25 - (10) $1Qs - $3 DBLS = $12 OOP, get $5 cat & $20 rebate = $13 MM! *fingers crossed*

Now my problem is, I have the following cats to use-
3- $5 cats from the $15/$30 promo
3- $5 cats from Kraft
1- $1 cat from Velveeta
and the sales for this coming week are lousy! I think I only *have* to use $15 this week... maybe I'll go buy 15 boxes of Super Pretzels tomorrow evening before this week's ad is done... yum!

Thanks! I am glad I get 2! i wouldn't have even known except my Albertson's has about 4 books sitting on top of displays of wheat thins. They had a ton of q out on Sunday that I hadn't seen last week.

How many Kraft rebates are there? I know the cat one and the one in the $55 savings book. Are there more?

If you are doing the rebate from the booklets, you may find it to your advantage to break the purchases up into 2 transactions so you get the $5 both times. The 10 cookies/crackers = $25. Then the 5 easy mac + 5 capri sun = $15. You will have to find $10 more stuff to get up to $25 the second time, but with coupons you can get that extra stuff for very little money when you consider that breaking it up will allow an extra set of doublers.

3 Digiorno + 1 CPK ($10.00) - .75/1 (x3) - $1
3 A1 Steak ($9.00) - $6
after q & doublers paid $14.75 & got rebate and the $5 cat

2nd tranny
Hormel Compleats x4 normally $3.09, PC savings down to $2.49 ea. then used .75/1 x4 and 3 doublers. paid $4.71

so altogether i should have paid $60.85. I paid $19.46. I made $5.54 how cool is that. :)

Interesting note: went thru self-check out, handed q's to attendant and when she ran the 2nd transaction/qs she stated, "I'll put these thru for you, but just for future reference, because some of the other cashiers won't do this for you on another transaction, these double coupons are limited to 3 per family PER DAY.

I was going to do the velveeta shells & cheese (DD is VERY particular) but the shelves were CLEARED!!! Truck comes in this afternoon....will have to go back or try another Albies. Thanks for letting me share.

yeah, Mines says all kinds of generic terms for the kraft items I got. Like the Digiorno Pizza just says "pizza" and the kraft natural shredded chesse just says "cheese". I'm gonna cross my fingers and just send it in.

I'm still not sure if I need to cut off the UPC's and send those in. I'm really not ready to use the cheese so I dont want to cut those off. Has anyone done a big one like this before where they didnt require UPCs??

These Kraft MIR's have been such a hassle, that I'm saving the upcs from my pizza, and also the Easy macs. I know you don't have to, but I don't want to be denied. I suppose we could just pile our stuff on top of a copier & send a copy of the UPCs with the receipt. That way we won't have to open the packages. :wink7:
