Very interested to see if you will get the $5 CAT for shelf but no rebate - how is this one working right now? Anyone tried it? Would do it myself, but I am out of money for the week!

I don't know for sure, but since it's a $20 MIR, I'm going to play it safe and get $25 worth using preferred card prices. I would rather do that than have the rebate rejected later.

While I agree with you, the catalina that triggers the 5OYNO will also trigger the rebate, either you spend the $25 or you don't....I hope it works off of shelf prices.....You will be able to double dip the TOmbstone catalinas the week after the 14th as you will get 5OYNO wyb 6 tombstones......

We did it today and hubby spent $25 in SALE price even though I told him it was shelf price and he got the $5 cat and the rebate print out as well.

Since hubby was doing the shopping (as I just had a baby 4 weeks ago and am on shopping hiatus), he got nervous about Kraft not honoring the MIR by just using the sale prices (as it wouldn't show $25 spent on items on the receipt). So he spent $25 in SALE prices just in case even though I told him it would be fine on shelf prices alone. :rolleyes24:

Oh well, guess I should be glad I didn't have to shop....he did end up getting $225 worth of groceries for only $60 after coupons/cats, etc.

I'm not concerned about getting the cat - I'm sure that will work on the shelf prices. However, I'm not so comfortable buying that much for a $20 rebate and then sending it off, only to potentially have it rejected by Kraft because the total wasn't $25. It's all stuff we'll use anyway, so it's okay. It's still free! It's a big enough investment that I'm going to play it safe on this one.

I'm going to do the $25 purchase for the first transaction (the one I'll submit for the rebate) and then maybe do some fancy footwork with shelf prices and the $5 CAT. It's only one rebate per household, but there may be some decent deals to be found with the $5 back.

Yep, you can! These are the 2 scenarios I'm contemplating:

Scenario #1:
(2) Kraft shredded cheese @ $1.69 = $3.38
(2) Kraft singles @ $2.50 = $5
(4) mayo @ $2.50 = $10
(4) mac & cheese @ $.49 = $1.96
(1) Ritz @ $2.50
(1) Wheat Thins @ $2.50
Subotal = $25.34

In either case, I would pay $15 with my cats from last week's deal and pay $1-2 oop, get back a $5 cat and a $20 rebate. After that, I would have $10 in cats ($5 from Kraft and one more $5 from Unilever). I'm planning on rolling them into the Kellogg's deal, which will work out to $7-8 after coupons, which I will submit for the $10 Kellogg's rebate that is advertised. This is a great return on my initial investment of approx. $12 in the Unilever deal!

I'm sure there are more profitable Kraft scenarios out there, but this is stuff we actually need, so I'm happy with it.

I got 6, used 3 $1/2 from the Kraft Solheim Cup booklets, and also bought 2 Velveeta Cups with my "Get 2 free" from Kraft first taste. My total was something like $19. I got back $5 Kraft cat, $1 Velveeta, a $5 Tombstone cat, and the $20 rebate form. However, my total after my preferred card was less than $25 so I don't know if I could get the rebate for this. I think I'll do it again (without coupons since I'm out of them) with a few extra items to make sure I pay $25 after preferred car and before coupons. Then I'll have 12 pizzas for the Tombstone utility rebate and will get $10 (off my utility bills) for that.

You should be able to. The only time I have seen using a coupon effecting a rebate is on try me free rebates where they deduct the amount of a coupon used to reduce the amount of a rebate.

You can use a OYNO cat on any order unless it states that you can't. The only ones that I have seen that say that are the cats that print when you have a P&G deal going. They always seem to say now that you can't use it on P&G products. The cats are mfg coupons. the Kraft deal is $25 before any coupons are taken off. So you can use the Unilever cats and any additional mfg coupons and still get the rebate.
