Tearpads, peelies & Inserts - Questions

I'm curious about something. :hectic1:

First let me say that I've never (and will never) take a peelie off of a product that I'm not purchasing at that time. Nor would I take a whole pad of coupons at one time.

So, that leaves me wondering just how people acquire so many of the peelies and tearpads? Do they get them from the manufacturer?

Also, I've bought and traded for some whole inserts before and the people will have a stock of some crazy number of them, like say 1,000 of each insert!!! How do you possibly get that many inserts? That's a lot of dumpster diving.

I hope I don't get into trouble for asking these questions. I'm just so darn curious :whistle67:

well, to be honest, :shrug7:I do not think anyone can have more than one of a tear pad or peelie unless their whole family went with them and each took one. I once traded for 30 of a tear pad. I did not question the other end of the trade.
As far as inserts, I know a couple people who gets 100's...several 100. I asked one of them and they said they buy the papers or buy the inserts from the newspaper company, since they have extras. If you buy 100 papers that is $150 in my area. You'd have to trade 1000 coupons or 10 per insert at 10 cents each, and I've never paid over .05 for most coupons, just to get $100 so to buy papers seems no point to me. :shrug7:

If you have relatives, friends, neighbors, paper carrier to give you 5-10 a week you got it made. :BigHand:
I used to get 1-30 per week but my source ended. :sad:
Now I just trade for what I need.
