I went to buy the cinnabon bars tonight, and had the $1/1, used with adoubler, makes them about 67 cents a box , or cheaper if buy more than 3 at a time. mY albies only lets u use the 3 doublers, not ALL 5 AT ONCE, SO... ANYWAY, 2 WERE IN COLoR, ONE WAS BLACK AND WHITE..SHE WOULD NOT TAKE IT, EVEN LEFT THE CHECKSTAND TO GO ASK SOMEONE..SAID LATELY HAVING FRAUD WITH COPIED COUPONS...WHAT???? I politely pnted out thay all 3 had different exp. dates..so would not be copies, she refused,,,so no more black and white at this albies..she gave me trouble yesterday on using a cereal coupon also..bought 4 boxes, 2 cherrios, a lucky charms, and a toast crunch, tried to use 2 of the buy $1/2 and 2 for 55 cent off cherrios..she would not take them all...said too many coupons, so took only one of the $1/2 boxes gm cereals, not both, and took both cherrios... I figured 4 coupons, 4 boxes, nope..she refused, so i was polite and said ok.. think she is watching me now, LOL...anyone else in w. wa heard this? :hectic1:

She was right that you had too many coupons. You only had 4 cereal. Each $1/2 coupon is for 2 boxes so to use 2 of those plus 2 of the .55/1 you would need 6 boxes.

I think you are confusing $/2 coupons with buy 1 get one free coupons. With the buy 1 get one free coupon the coupon is only for the one you get free so you can use another coupon on the box you buy. With $1/2 the coupon is for both boxes so you can't use another.

She is a moron thinking that black & white = copy. Has she not heard of color copiers? Or maybe, just maybe the kinds of people who bother to print coupons might also save money by not using color ink?

And this isn't even considering that a vast majority of coupons state that they are acceptable in black & white!

It must be something in the air right now. I've had more than my share of moron checkers, too.

Coupons do state that B&W is OK. I print mine in draft mode, black cartridge only because I'm not replacing the color ink cartridge every month. They can take the B&Ws or I'll raise a big stink about it. You can tell by looking at them since they all have different numbers on them that they weren't photocopied. Also, we could make color copies just as easily as B&W, so their excuse about fraud is stupid. My printer/copier makes color copies.

I ended up taking that coupon and a couple other black and white ones to 2 different dtores today as I was out running errnads..neither gave me ANY problem about them not being in color.

I would suggest you call the store manager. I've had this happen at one particular store - cashiers are positive that they can't take printables or that they can't take black & white printables. Both times, I kept going up the food chain til I got to the manager who told me that wasn't the policy at all. The cashiers were told they have to check IP's to make sure the border is on each coupon showing the time/date stamp, and that it matches the time/date stamp in larger print on the coupon. It had nothing at all to do with b&w vs. color. Another time, the manager didn't know how they got the idea that they couldn't take any printables. I don't even remember what the memo actually was - I just remember that the manager was totally puzzled, and the cashiers were totally sure they'd lose their jobs if they disobeyed. :rolleyes24: Hang in there, everyone. Stick to your guns, and kill 'em with kindness! :whistle67:

My friend went to this particular store yesterday with alot of copuons, and got the same cashier...she scrutinized the copouns, but took them, and my friend started a discussion with her on coupons, deals, and gave her a coupon for a product on sale there she liked...lady was thankful..killin 'em with kindness!!! thats our new plan!!! Not that i was ever not, but I am new to this, so just accepted what she said, said thank you, and didn not ask for manager, etc..i will stand up for myself from now on though!!

Ug...I had a similar issue at the normally great Albertsons. She had to consult the manager to make sure the printed Qs were okay. Plus she had a bad attitude. :( I wish they'd train their cashiers better.
