We will be getting a HyVee store in my area for the first time soon. I read the FAQ and didn't see any mention of double coupons.
Do they double coupons?
Do they have a loyalty card that you have to use in order to get the sales prices?
Any other good tips worth knowing?
TIA

I do not shop at Hy-Vee regularly. I find them to be normal to high priced (my experience) for the most part. However, they will run a sale/deal every now and then that will be good, great or even incredible paired with coupons (they do not double).
I have a good friend who's husband is a store manager for Hy-Vee. Hy-Vee banks their business on service. They offer curb-side service/pick-up, they have parking spots of front for mom-to-be's, they have a large clientele of the elderly and disabled who need assistance and groceries delivered their home. You can even buy groceries on-line.
My kids love going to Hy-Vee becuase they have the firetruck or bus carts, and there are always free samples or cookies, etc. :-)

Don't get to double, but they are putting out more store q's.(No stores in my local area double.) My Hy-vee prints the store weekly IP's and hangs them by the front door with the weekly ad. They do have Pet Prints(just learned about it yesterday). For every pet item purchased through 12/31/09. After you earn $150.00 in Pet Prints you can turn them in for a $10 Hy-Vee gift card.

WHAT!? Your HyVee has mom parking spaces? No fair :wink7: HyVee is actually cheaper than Walmart on a lot of items and definitely cheaper than County Market, so I do most of our food shopping there. I like that our HyVee employs a lot of young kids. It's hard as heck when you're a teen to get a job in my area so it's great to see a store actually hiring them.

no doubling here, but as others have attested to, once in a while they do run a fantastic deal!

One of our stores here doubles in Brookings, SD. The two in Sioux Falls however do not.

WarCraftBaby- That seems weird to see you say that Hy-Vee is cheaper than County Market because I can remember my mom rarely going to Hy-Vee because they were always higher. She would only go for the sales. Tables seem to have turned. Here in Burlington, most of my groc shopping is done at Hy-Vee, but will go to the other stores for a good enough deal. I don't care for the new County Market. I have not seen anyone do doubles in Burlington :(
