This week's ad features a promotion that gives shoppers $5 OYNO and 5 free Red Box rentals with the purchase of $25 in P&G products. I did this deal today with P&G coupons that expired today, but the same or similar ones may come out this weekend. Here's how I worked the deal using mostly coupons from the Home Made Simple mailer (HMS) and last month's P&G Brand Saver:
8-pack Bounty $5.99-.25Q =$5.24
1 Febreze 500 mL fabric refereshers $3.59-.50Q (HMS)=$2.59
1 Febreze 500 mL fabric refereshers $3.59
1 Satin Care shave gel $2.79
1 Satin care shave gel $2.79-B1G1 Free Q (think this Q was given to me by MIL from Houston Chronicle)=$0.00
2 Febreze Air Effects $2.99-B1 Refresher G1 Air Effects Free (used 2 of these)=$0.00
1 Dawn 10 oz. dish detergent $1.49-.50Q (HMS)=$.49
Total before Q's=$26.22
Total after Q's=$14.70 + tax ($1.84 per item)
Subtracting the $5.00 OYNO Catalina, that yields $9.70 which is $1.21 per item. If the Red Box rentals weren't part of this deal, I probably wouldn't have done it. Saving $10.00 total overall sweetens the pot, though.
