These were on sale two weeks ago here in South Central Wisconsin but now they are back up to $1.99 --- unless of course they are on sale again this week....our sales cycle starts on Thursday and ends on Wednesday. Where are you located?

Hello. Sorry about that. I see now that I posted it in the wrong section. I am from Northeast WI.

I did check again this morning and our yellow tags state the sale is good thru 8-2-09.

My mom had stocked up on these a couple weeks ago when they were on sale in Milwaukee; she shared some with me and I think they are real nice sponges (especially for free, how can you go wrong?) :)

Thanks for posting. I plan on getting a bunch of these tomorrow and using $1/1 which will double for overage.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can get overage by doubled coupons, because its only doubled up to the value of the product. At least that has been my experience.
i.e. - if I have a $1 coupon for an item that is $1.50, the 'doubled' part will only be $.50

You are mostly correct. The coupons will double up to the original value of the item (not the sale/clearance price). So if the sponges were originally 2.35, a $1 Q would double to $2 ($1 in overage). If the sponges were originally 1.85, a $1 Q would double to $1.85 ($0.85 in overage). Either way, a doubled Q should result in overage on these.
