The new FLIP's that came on today, 7/22/09, have new exclusions on them. Please be aware of this so we can keep PHmom from having to spend all her time policing the FL forum.
Exclusions:
Good only at Food Lion. Limit one use per perchase of specified product, per transaction, per person, per day. Void if copied, sold, or exchanged. Do not double or triple. Not applicable towards the purchase of tobacco, alcohol, gift cards, postage stamps, or services. Minimum purchase must exceed coupon value. No cash value.
Please notice the obvious and use the coupons accordingly as well as word your posts on the FL forum accordingly. Food Lion is gracious enough to give us these insane good deals with the FLIP's. The least we can do is play by their rules.

Well it was always in their coupon policy that they wouldn't accept a coupon that was of a higher value than the product. Now it is just written in 2 places. They like to change up the words on the FLIPs every now and again. I wonder how long it will last.

Thanks for posting this katncaed!
As Maya pointed out - the policy has been no overage for a while now but some stores/cashiers would adjust the coupon value down so that you would get the item for free w/no overage. They considered this okay within the policy but now it is clearly stated on the FLIPs that they cannot do this any longer.
So, please no discussion from this point forward of using the FLIPs on items less than the face value of the FLIP - thanks!!

The wording changed again.
"Limit one print per customer" (didn't it use to say per computer?)
This would also make any posts of using several coupons on different days against FL policy?
"Void if coupon value exceeds retail value of item".
Curious, what happens when they print a coupon then put the item on sale to an amount less than the coupon? (for item and size specific coupons?) If they enforce that, there will be some upset people at the checkout . . .

IDK does FL consider you a' new" customer each time you come into the store? Alot of stores do.

Yes, but do they consider you a new customer each time you move to a new computer to print out another coupon? I guess if I have 5 computers I can figure I'm going to be a customer 5 times....

The wording used to just say "Limit one print" it didn't specify "per" anything as far as I remember.
As far as the other - it is up to the store management - the policy is stated on the FLIPs so you'd (general you - not you specifically - LOL) really have no recourse if they said no. As far as posting on here - same thing applies - we have to follow the policy when we post.
I am going to have to figure out an answer to the "per customer" question though - daggone you Food Lion for making more work for me! :rolleyes24::giggle2:

Gonna have to confer with the PTB (Powers That Be) and figure this one out! :whistle67:

I had noticed this new wording today, but the line "one use per purchase of specified product, per transaction, per person, per day" is still there. That seems to be contradictory to me, but I was hoping that wiser heads than mine might get to the bottom of it. I just wish that they would figure out what they want to do, instead of playing word games with us. :rolleyes24:

Yeah, that one had me :shrug7:and I've worked in the legal field for 10 years!
Didn't mean to cause y'all more work . . . I just saw that and wondered how that was going to work out in what we can post . . it's starting to be a "don't ask, don't tell" situation.
