I'm almost positive I bought the last two of these today at the Gaines store. They've redone their baby wipe section a little. Still wasn't marked clearance at my store. One was at the very top shelf, with the appropriate shelf tag. The other one I found at the very bottom shelf, behind the newer Rite-Aid brand wipes that are now saying "compare to Huggies" as opposed to "compare to Pampers".

I found a lot of different colors of the Sally Hansen hard as wraps nail polish for 1.32 and there is a 1.00 coupon in the 8/2 RP, they also have toe seperators and pink salon files, for .99 and nail file for 1.39, I was able to use the 1.00 LaCross beauty tool from 8/2 RP in the picture on the coupon is shows a nial file so they are clearly beauty tools. I hope this helps someone. Great stocking stuffers for the older girls. I also used a 5/25 to take care of anything over a 1.00

I don't know much about Rite Aid's clearance cycles. I've read a few things on the web.
1.) If the warehouse has an item overstocked, they will clearance it out for a limited amount of time. Say, one month, to reduce their excess. Then the price will return to normal.
2.) Most clearance items will be returned to the manufacturer if not sold in a certain timeframe.

You could always ask a Rite Aid employee/manager how the clearance works. They might actually know. =)

I'm glad you found the five items you did! Clearance is always strongly YMMV, so I think 5 is pretty good.

I agree with Jill that clearance is very hit or miss at RA. I very seldom find the things that other people mention, but I find a lot of stuff that no one else even mentions here at all. I think a lot of it is also regional. What sells well here in Ohio may not sell well in Southern California or vice versa. Keep an eye out when the store is being rearranged. That is when they tend to have a lot of clearance at good prices!

I came to this site because I was amazed at a couple of woman who have come in and buy over $25 of merchandise and after coupons they pay pennies. I hate it and love it.
At Riteaid.com right now you can get a $5 coupon for every $25 of merchandise.(that is of course before the coupons hit. Also St. Ives bath and skin products are buy one get one free, plus $1.00 coupon off each one (the register will accept the 2).Get the coupons out of the in store flyer. No not true. If anything just the opposite. At first, we were doing that and got complaints. Now, we are told that it is before the coupons hit. Ask to speak the the manager on duty next time. One thing customers were doing though is bringing the sale down to below $5 and then presenting the coupon and expecting money back. that I wouldn't do. The filler item fixes that.

No not true. If anything just the opposite. At first, we were doing that and got complaints. Now, we are told that it is before the coupons hit. Ask to speak the the manager on duty next time. One thing customers were doing though is bringing the sale down to below $5 and then presenting the coupon and expecting money back. that I wouldn't do. The filler item fixes that.

Thanks for the info! I have always used the $5/$25 before coupons, but one of my local stores has started taking it only after coupons, so guess which store I avoid now? There are enough Rite Aids around here that I don't have to settle for that. :)

I drove a little out of my way to another store yesterday, and boy was it worth it! I found 3 more packs of Easy Ups, 3 Dawn with bleach, 1 Glade Wisp (there were lots, but I just got one for my mom for her rebates--BTW the previous three items were NOT marked), and TWO clearance end caps full of stuff. I got 5 more BenGay free after coupons and some flash cards for $.39 each--they had Thomas, Disney Princesses, Mickey Mouse, Barbie, and lots of other flash cards and reward sticker books.

I was able to use the $5/$25 before coupons. :) The only problem I had was buying the BOGO Schick Intuition. The cashier did not want to use 2 coupons because she said she couldn't give me $4 off of zero. The manager agreed, but then he said if it scanned, she could take it, and it did--woohoo! I had a few other items, too, so I paid $7.02 for literally a cart full of stuff and will get $4 back in rebates. I think of it as a buck each for the Easy Ups and everything else FREE!

Sorry this is so long, but I am super excited. Thanks to everyone on here--without others reporting their clearance finds, I might never get these deals! :smile:

Thanks!! Went to 2 stores today; both had this deal UNMARKED. There were 2 at the first store (I gave the cashier one with a $1/1 cpn since she needed mascara!) & the second store had 3 (but I only bought 2). It looks like every variety of Fantastic Lash is 75% off. It's the only mascara originally $6.69, now ringing up at $1.67.

The above two Listerine posts are talking about the same item, evidently! The UPC included for the "Listerine Whitening" is indeed the Pre-brush rinse. Since I hadn't seen it for myself, I didn't know that. =) I found these yesterday - bought 2. However, at my store they're regularly $5.99, so $1.49 after the 75% off. I used a $1/1 insert coupon, so .49/ea.


Went to two Rite-Aid's last night. At the first one, they had several 75% off tags hanging in the oral care aisle, but everything was gone. So I wrote down what the tags said - all those crazy little numbers & everything! On an endcap near the food I found the Starbucks chocolate. I remember reading about them somewhere online....in any case, I'm not going to add them to the list since I think it's a rather dated deal. Case in point - 1 of my packages expires in Dec. 2009, the other one expired in July 09! I have checked 4 stores for the Cover Girl mascara, but it is ringing up at regular price, B1G1 50% (weekly sale). Early in the week last week I bought some Covergirl mascara for $1.67. However, on Thursday, I was out by a friend's house & went to her Rite-Aid. It rang up B1G150%off. :shrug7:No clue why. I did read somewhere on the internet that Rite Aid's sales "override" clearance prices. But I'm not sure if that's always true, because several weeks ago when the 50 oz. Tide was on sale for $5.99, the clearance varieties were still ringing up clearance (in this case, 50% off for $4.99).

Oh, and speaking of lazy cashiers...I have seriously had a cashier flat out REFUSE to do a price check. She claimed she "knew" it wasn't marked down. So when I checked out, guess what? Well, wouldn't you know it - they were 75% off. :wink7:

I went in a Rite-Aid near where I work today. The manager was marking down a lot of items. (75% off). I got a 6 pack snack pack of goldfish for .49 cents. The box of nature valley bars were .49 cents also. I had coupons for .50 cents off and .40 cents off. The hawaiian punch singles to go were also marked down to .49 (it is an 8 pack box). A lot of summer pool items marked down too. Be on the look-out!!

My teenage girl cashier was so shocked that they rang up $1.67! She said, "I'll have to get one of those!" Found 4 count boxes of Nature Valley Granola bars today at my RA for $.49/box. However, there are $.70 off/2 coupons out there that do not specify a size which makes it $.30 for 8 granola bars.

Original total: $.49 x 2= $.98
Use: $.70 off 2 insert q
Total: $.98- $.70 = $.28

Check your RA for food clearance! Mine had some good clearance stuff with coupons right on it and a lot of it qualified for the Fuel for School rebate too.

Airwick scented oil refills and kits with refills and warmers together $1 each. There are q's out there for $1/2 refills that would make them $.50 each. Of course my store only had 1 left, but there are the free warmer WYB refill q's that you can use then.

Febreze Noticeables starter kits for $2.00 each. In the P&G Brand Saver there are $1.00 off q's, making these $1 each.

My store had TONS of CoverGirl on clearance. Lipstick, powder foundation, tons! The price points were .74, 1.34, 1.73, 1.87, 2.34, 2.49. Combine $1 CoverGirl MQ with the $1 CoverGirl Rite Aid Video Values and you've got FREE - cheap makeup.

They also had Physicians Formula on clearance - bronzer and blush. Price points were 2.98, 2.89. (I have $5 Bronzer MQ from a tearpad in Walgreens and racked up!!!)
