the 6pk single serve cups. we don't go through apple sauce very fast in my house........cups are more convenient and portable :)

Not sure if anyone is misunderstanding. This is applesauce in a can. It is in the same area as the jars and plastic cups of applesauce, but comes in a can about the size of a can of stringbeans. It's a nice size for baking since I use applesauce in place of oil and 1/3 - 1/2 c sugar in muffin and cake recipies. There is usually enough left over from 1 can to put in a single serve container for a snack for ds. For .09/can, it's a good deal for me since the larger jars usually go bad before I can use them.

you can special order them though.

items that are carried at ANY comm can be special ordered by ANY commissary.

only thing is that if your comm doesn't normally stock the item, you'd be obligated to buy by the case. you'd need the UPC# off product to order. when you call to order, they can tell you qty in a case so you could decide if it's worth it and if you have (or can obtain) enough coupons.

however, if you order while it's on sale, no guarantee the price might change before the item comes in. and you cannot prepay (i've asked!)

thanks for posting this'n! the "new" jell-o flavors at our commissary are .40 ~ but 5 of them puts it right at the $2 mark, so they're free. i've gotten 45 boxes of the small ones so far, LOL to make the deal even sweeter, they had the egg shaped wiggler molds laying on top with tags on them - "buy 6, get the mold free". i'd gotten a couple of those as well before they disappeared :)
