I know! It's new stuff, but nothing looks that great unless there are doubles that come out over the weekend. Hmmmm... :shrug7:

(*YAWN*) j/k Thanks, Superbob! Time is going by so fast lately, I forgot it was already time to do the placeholder for next week. :rolleyes24:

Yep, there would be some good deals with doubles.
One deal that jumps out at me is the Fuze - they're 10/$10, and if you buy 10, and use 5 B1G1F tearpads, they'll end up being 10/$2.

I sure hope we get the 98c cherries next week!! If I get 10lbs, and use the $1/$10 produce coupon, it'll come out to 90c/lb. I tried a new recipe for dark cherry jam last year, and it was great! Inexpensive homemade Christmas presents.

SUPERBOB,

can you tell me what the find print is by the coke 12 packs. Where it says what the free value is. That may be a good double dip with the keebler/Dr. Pepper deal.

The Playtex disposable gloves are free, as I know there is a q for a $1 off the disposable ones, as I had cut them out along with the $1 off the single pack ones for a Smith's deal. So with $10 of those a free $3 in the buy $10 save $3, or you can use it to lessen the price of other items in that deal. Also, I am thinking 3 things of Sprakle paper towels=$3, and 3 packs of Angel Soft TP=$7.50. $10.50 all together. Minus $3 promo $7.50, minus 3 $2 off wyb one package of Angel Soft and one package of Sparkle paper towels ($6 off all together)=$1.50. Plus tax, but still not a bad deal. Course, not sure I would after all the TP I've gotten free, that's starting to seem high!! lol

Just realized a better deal!

2 Sparkle paper towels-$2
2 Angel Soft TP-$5
3 Playtex Gloves-$3
Total: $10

Minus:
$3 promo=$7
3 $1 off Playtex dispoable gloves=$4
2 $2 off Sparkle and Angel soft IP=$0 A lot better total for me!! LOL

I'm curious about the free milk, bread & eggs wyb 4 GM cereals deal - it says up to $4. So, $4 off the total price for milk, bread & eggs? If that's the case, they certainly wouldn't be free in my area - a gallon of milk is almost $4 by itself at Albies! So, maybe it's a single serve milk, a 1/2 doz eggs and a roll from the bakery?

I like your first deal, b/c the Q is printable and doesn't require the playtex gloves Q which I apparently didn't keep (I'm new to HWC and I ended up tossing a lot of Q along the way that I didn't think I'd ever use! :emb100:) So I can handle $1.50 for all that TP and paper towels! Now I just have to find me another puter to print the 3rd Q from. Thanks a bunch for the scenario though! I love it!

That is something I have learned with couponing is not to throw away any coupons, even if you think you might not use them. As they may be useful later on! You may not think you'll use it, but it if it helps to pay for your other items, it's worth it, and you can always give it away. I've done that many times with deal likes this where you spend so much to get so much off. And then I just give it away, and keep what I need. Others who can use it are usually grateful! LOL Also, another great thing is if someone else can use it, you can always trade those coupons for something you can use. So they still can help you to save even more! I am going to see if there's any left of those gloves first thing (although the couponers here attack early! LOL) I don't need the gloves really, but I'm sure I could find some use for them, or find someone who could use them. Glad I could help though! Happy couponing!!

Maybe that is my problem. We get the Oregonian as well. I just know I don't have them. I usually keep anything that I determine as "I will use if its free and has a good chance of being free with this coupon." Which is why I'm surprised I don't have the platex Q. Hmmm... Maybe it just wasn't in the Oregonian at all.

Thanks for the reminder DamianMom. I have gotten better about not tossing my Q's (and now that I have found HCW I can trade out the ones I won't use at all). We've become much less brand loyal (except for a few things) since using Q. I'll take whatever I can get if its cheap or free! And I could actually USE the playtex gloves! LOL

Not in Oregon anymore (sigh, I miss Portland), but the SLC newspapers didn't seem to have these either. HOWEVER, I found the Playtex glove coupons in the 5/3 SS, so I had a few from these. HTH!

Oh, and I've officially reached a new level of 'coupon crazy' (for me) - I have a file cabinet drawer dedicated to coupon inserts. I don't throw them out until they've all expired. I've been surprised too many times by coupons I never thought I'd use, and half the time I don't clip them at first, not knowing if they'll be a good deal. :wink7:

Wow $4 a gallon. I was just thinking this wasn't too bad of a deal. At my store it would work out like this-

10.00 4 Honey Nut Cheerios
-4.00 4 $1 IP coupons
=6.00

1.89 milk
1.19 eggs
1.69 french bread
=4.77
-4.00 savings

=6.77 for 4 boxes of cereal, milk, eggs, bread

I am only willing to pay $1.00 each on the cereal so it's like the rest cost me $2.77 or .92 each. Not bad. Too bad your prices are so much higher.

It is. I just wrote mine funny, and was showing how much less each would be from the $10 when that was subtracted. So it's just showing the $10 minus the $3 promo=$7, then minus 3 $1 q's for the gloves=$4..and so on.. Not $4 off.

Discounts:

I see on PYP that this scenario worked in Utah. If you're a Dr. Pepper fan (like I am :D) be sure to look inside of your 12 pack boxes and cut out the $1 coupon. They came in the cherry flavor. =$11.23 +($2.40 CRV=$13.63)
and i got the $10 CAT

i then got a Diet cherry, cherry, reg, and a diet reg.
used the previous CAT to pay =$3.63 (stupid CRV)

that works out to $0.31 ea+($0.60 CRV) or $0.91 ea.....

The fine print on the $10 oyno wyb $20 in products portion states that Dr Pepper is owned by Dr Pepper/7-Up company. I personally didn't see any deals like this for Coke but if you hold onto the coupons until Sunday to watch for doublers, you might see some very good deals.

There is also a coupon for $2 on $4 of soda being found here in Utah. It is Compliments of Milwaukee's Best. If you have NBPR forms in your stores, be on the lookout for those. You should be able to use 2 in the DR Pepper scenario. I have some coming in a trade, but unfortunately have not found them in my stores. I was able to get 12 12-packs & 3 2-liters for $5.43 with tax even without any coupons. Luckily we don't have that extra charge- CRV???

BTW SuperBob-nice to see you over at PYP. I am there a lot since it is based out of Utah and I am in Utah, but had not noticed you before this week over there (although I see you have been a member a while). :wavehi:

7-Up/Dr.Pepper is it's own company. Brands include 7-Up, Dr.Pepper, Squirt, A&W, Canada Dry, Country Time, Crush, Sunkist, Hawaiian Punch, RC......

I don't see any great deals above and beyond the B2G2F offer for the Coke packs. Still too pricey for me even with coupons!

Does anyone know which cereals are included in the GM deal? (besides the one's in the ad?)

Is the Dr.Pepper deal only on DP soda or other brands within the company? (like Squirt?)
Also, no Kellogg's cereals are part of this CAT deal either?

Thanks so much!!!

The Dr.Pepper catalina deal did not work for me when I bought 4 12-packs. The manager told me that I needed to actually PAY for $20 worth of product. Of course she was a real pain of a manager.

Perhaps all I needed to do was add on another bottle of Dr.Pepper... now that I'm thinking about it. Wow- I'm never going to that Albertsons again. That was one hell of a trip where the manager chewed me out for my previous coupon experience.

As others have stated, you will need to buy another item from the match-up to qualify for the $10 oyno. Sorry if what I said was misleading. The ad showed a savings of 10.58 when you do the buy 2 get 2 free sale. This should mean that each 12 pk is 5.29 each- but they are actually less than $5 each so you need an extra item.

Just Dr Pepper. There was a list in last week's thread from PYP. No Kellogg's cereal.
The 12 pks were $4.99 here.

I don't know why I didn't put this together before, but if you have the Fire up the Music, fire up the grill booklet, you can apply the '$3 off fish wyb Hidden Valley Ranch (any), 1 Glad product and one other sponsor product' coupon to a package of the Gorton's fish. Then buy 1 packet of the HVR dressing mix ($1), and a Glad Cling wrap ($2) and a Sargento salad or potato finishers ($2.50):
Gorton's fish $5
HVR packet 1
Glad wrap 2
Sargento 2.50
___________________
Total $10.50
-instant 3.00
-$3 fish q 3.00
-sargento q .75
_________________
Total 3.75
Not great, but I only have $1/2 IPs for the Gorton's. If I had q's for Glad or a better Sargento one, it would be even better. Not to mention doublers, of course, if we had them.

the keebler chips delux @ my store had peelies for free 2 liter of any soda when you buy 2 of the keebler chips delux

single priced @ 2.50 each or 1.50 each when you buy 10

should look like this

10 cookies@2.50=25.00
5 2 liters of dr pepper =7.95
25.00+7.95=32.92
32.95-10 off for buying 10 keebler=22.95
22.95-7.95=15.00 (cost would be less if rolling, but this assumes as a first transaction)
get 10 cat AND 10 mailin rebate for fuel for school rebate

net cost= paid 5.00 for cookies and soda

*if i have 1.00/3 2 liter dp coupons can i use one of these as well?
*if i have 1.00/2cherry liter dp coupons, can i use one of this as well?

if the last 2 coupons can be used as well, total would be 13.00 +10 cat+10 rebate=7.00 profit.......although im not sure if coupons can be used like that ( a free when you buy something, + $1.00/3+$1.00/2)

First, it looks to me like you are counting the $10 cat twice, first in your "10 off for buying 10 keebler" then later when you say you pay $15 and get the $10 cat and the $10 MIR.

Second, the free 2L wyb cookies coupon is for the Dr Pepper. You can't then use additional coupons for the Dr. Pepper. You can, however, use additional coupons for the cookies. There is a printable available.

crabtree122202
07-23-2009, 06:53:46 AM
For those who don't need the 10 items for the rebate any longer:

Keebler cookies 6 @ $2.50 = $15.00
Dr.Pepper 2 ltr. 3 @ $1.59 = $4.77
Dr.Pepper 20 oz. $1.25
= $21.02
------------------------------------
- $1/2 Keebler IP x 3 = $3.00
- Free 2 ltr. peelie x 3 = $4.77
------------------------------------
Total OOP trans. #1 = $13.25 (get $10 CAT and keep rolling- $3.25 each trans. after that)

Better if you have some CAT's still to use from the last couple weeks to lower your 1st OOP. I know I have lots to use still!!

HTH someone!!!

at my store, they are not tagged for a cat but they are tagged @ 2.50 each, or 1.50 each when you buy 10

so according to the sign, im not counting the cat twice because the sign makes appear as an instant discount not as an onyo coupon .....at least thats how i interpreted it

That would be pretty cool. No such sign or instant discount at my store.

The sign is probably an error and it is likely that you will have to argue for your $10, but they should honor what the sign says.

I just bought 4 cases of Dr. Pepper and a 2L bottle. My oop was $4.03 (including deposit and a $10 cat from the cookies) and the new cat printed no problem. :BigHand: 3 of the cases (all diet cherry flavor) have a coupon inside the carton for $1/1 dr pepper any size any flavor that I will use next time. The carton is clearly marked that there is a coupon inside, but when I got them home I realized that the soda expires in early August, so YMMV on your store having any of those cases left. If you could find the coupons and roll them from case to case to case you will make money if you even return one of the empty cans.

Yes the $4.00 came off right after she scanned the 4 products the 4 for $10.00 items included ,
I got all Albertsons brands ,
you can get any milk, bread and eggs you want to , but the limit is $4.00
so the milk was $1.99
Bread was $1.19
Eggs were $1.00

I mean I could have gotten a gallon of $5.00 milk and $3.00 eggs and $4.00 bread , but it only takes of $4.00 so I watched all the prices , and if I had coupons for the gushers or fruit roll ups I got It would have been a better deal but I am happy with what I did , I could have gotten cereal and used my coupons but I have way to much cereal ,

I don't know about buying the Bryers or Klondike this week but the Popsicles are B1G1 with prices starting at $2.69

So if you have 10 in your order:

$2.69 x 5 = $13.45 (because you would be getting 5 for free)
Then use 2 $4/5 cats from prior purchases and have $8 deducted from your order.

Total = $5.45 for 10 boxes of Popsicles. This works out to 55c each with I think is a great price.

The Klondike/Breyer's were on sale last week (two separate sale prices) - when you buy 4 you get a $4/5 catalina for popsicle, Klondike or Breyer's products. This week with the popsicle products on b1g1, you can use that catalina, and probably get another for each purchase of 4.

I have 20 of the $1/1 Popsicle products, so I don't actually think that I'll be worrying about buying in batches of 4 to get the cat...I just don't have that much room for popsicles. :hysterical:

I ran into the Hayden, ID Albies this morning after I heard that stores were posting signs regarding the Dr.Pepper and the B2G2F being removed from their systems. So I went as fast as I could hoping this store hadn't caught on yet. There was not a single sign up regarding a mistake being made. But there also wasn't the B2G2F signs under the soda packs- just the Drive catalina deal. However, when I rang them up the cashier had already new that these soda's weren't triggering the free one's to come off- so she manually keyed in the code and the 2 packs came right off. So I got 16 packs while I was there and before the word got out and signs went up. I'm sure something will change soon though. Got the catalina each time- it was perfect timing!!!

I bought the Dr Pepper yesterday around noon at the sunnyside (OR) store. The cat printed but the checker had to manually punch in a code to get the 2 to come off. It came off as "Pepsi". But there were not any signs on the shelf about it not being included. I wouldn't have tried it if there was.

TY, I like them better on the sheet, 'cause then they eventually have them available in the store, oh well.

That is the store I shop at . I wish I would have gone yesterday. I will try it today. Thank you so much, hoping for no signs. I LOVE DP!

Is anyone else having a problem with the 20oz bottles and the BOGO Qs? Twice yesterday, the $10 cat didn't print when DH and I bought each bought 16 bottles x $1.25 = $20 and used 8 BOGO Qs. We paid $10.80 ($.80 deposit), but no cat.

The first time, with DH, the second-in-command, who's known DH since he was a kid, had the cashier write, "Per (her name), $10 off next order catalina" on the receipt and said we just needed to give the receipt to the cashier and they will manually take $10 off. The second time (same cashier), he wrote "Catalina didn't print" and told me to show it to his boss next time I came in and see what she wanted to do about it.

Does the Dr Pepper cat print after items are scanned, or at the end of the transaction? I'm trying to figure out if the Qs are messing it up or if something else is going on...

I think I'm going to contact Catalina about the second one, as I doubt Albies will be reimbursed the $10 the way that the first missing cat was handled and I don't want them losing even more money.

I'm thinking about doing this if it is the Qs messing it up... 32 bottles x $1.25 = $40 - 16 BOGO Qs ($20) = $20, get $10 cat (hopefully) = $10/32 bottles. Not free, but good enough that I would still buy them.

I've done the 20 oz DP deals twice with B1G1 Q's and it worked perfectly. I bought 16 and paid with my $10 cat. I've done it with regular and diet. It prints out way after the transaction was done. We waited and waited for the cat. I always check the cat machine to be sure it has a solid green light so I know it's working. HTH!

Thanks for the response, RobinLynn! DH and I both checked for the solid green light and I don't think that it printed late because both of us were held up at the checkout for at least 2-3 minutes after paying trying to figure out why it didn't print.

We had the same cashier (7 hours apart), he remembered my DH, said it didn't print for him either, and as I was leaving, he was reporting it to his manager that it didn't print again. If it had printed after DH had left, I think he would have said something to me. Instead, he was just baffled about why it didn't work, yet again.

Maybe there is something messed up with his machine, even though the green light was solid??? Or maybe he did something weird when entering the Qs?

It can still be not working with a solid green light. Catalina told me once they need to reset them holding the reset button in for 30 seconds. Most don't do it that long.
I would have asked to have it rung up again at a different register.

Some of the popsicle products are only $2.69/box, and all are on B1G1 sale. I'm going to combine those with my $1/1 popsicle product for ~.35/box.

But first I need to figure out how I'm going to fit them in my freezers - I had to assign DH to eating ice cream to make room for the tornados/Edwards singles I got last night :)

Where to look for $1/1 popsicle ? thanks

This is my scenerio (I have access to 6 computers for the printables)
12 sparkle paper towels
12 angel soft tp
6 popsicles
=50.07
-$15 (5x$3) acosta
-24 (12x$2) angel soft/sparkle coupons
-4 popsicle coupon
=$7.07

And get another popsicle coupon back.

Then I will use 2 popsicle coupons to buy 10 boxes and pay 2.45 and get 1 coupon back.

Then I will have enough popsicles to last aproximately forever.

Just want to ask, did the above scenario work for you? We don't have to buy exactly $10 to get the acosta discount, do we? anything over $10 will do..

Thanks

I actually didn't do it quite like that because I found 2 more sparkle/angel soft coupons so I altered it a bit, but it worked perfectly. You don't have to buy exactly $10, but you can get multiple discounts per transaction, so it makes little sense to spend $15 when you can save $3 if you spend $5 more. You maximize your deal if you can get close to a multiple of $10 without going under. 2 transactions at $15 each will only get you 2 discounts, but if you combine them into a single transaction you will get 3. HTH.

I am just wondering whether the Playtex Living or Handsaver gloves are also included the Acosta (buy $10 get $3off) deal? Anyone tried :-) ?

I'm totally bummed. I went in tonight to get another couple transactions of Angel Soft / Sparkle / Playtex. They are out of Angel Soft. And they won't write me a RC for all 3, only for the Angel Soft. That doesn't do me much good. Blah. And I didn't bring everything along with me to do any other kind of deal with my playtex Q.

And its WAY too hot to think about going to a different store for them!
