I have 2 guestions for you - thanks so much for all the help everyone gives us "newbies"....
1) Is is worth saving coupons that are only .25 in value off???. IT seems to me, to REALLY save alot you need the high value coupons - say $1.00 off???
2) I bought the paper again today and why do the coupons seem to repeat themselves? In other words, there really are not that many new coupons; kinda the same ones with later expiration dates. Am I missing something?
THanks everyone!

I think the 25c coupons are worth it because I have stores that double so that is 50c and if the item goes bogo then I use 2 coupons and get $1 off.
there are certain items that keep coming time after time, but hang on to those too, you may need them.

I only use the .25 ones if they are worth it like sunlight dish detergent now and then has one that .25 cents and the cost is 1.19 oop would be .94 cents. Other then that I do not use the .25 ones I do not have a store that doubles wish I did.

Yes because if you buy the product anyway, that's .25 less you have to pay for it. If your paper is not putting out good coupons or things you do not use, paying for papers may not be worth it. Trade for the few high value coupons you want or use the high value coupons to get stuff you don't need or want for free and then barter with someone else for things you do need
Also check a larger paper if you live in a small town and see if they have higher value coupons for the same item. I got two different papers recently. 1 was .55/1 and the other was $1/2, same product but different areas in the same week.

we have 2 stores that triple so .25/1 tripled can get you, almost free, rice, ketchup, others. I don't use many .25/1 but if it is a product that is on sale alot, I keep it.
Higher coupons? I'd rather have a .75/1 all day long than a $1/1. I can double and triple the .75/1 and can not do anything with the $1/1 but maybe hope for a B1G1 free sale or trade it to some other area that can double $1. I'll throw $1/1 in the trash and go online and try to trade pphf for .75/1 on the same item.

well the good coupons showing up more often can be an advantage. Ex: Pillsbury issues coupons all the time, so no need to pack my shelves and freezers with Pillsbury items, the coupons come out too often. The ones you only see once a year, or blue moon, are the valuable ones. ex: .75/1 Scott paper towel. Sale was $2.39 and the store tripled so I got 94 of these babies to last me many years, at 14 cents per roll. Then traded the BTFE on each package for .05 and got my 94 roll of Scott paper towels for .09 each. A coupon and a deal that may never happen again.
I like coupons that come out 2-3 times a year or more. I do not need to keep stockpiles of those items.

If you can pair them with a store q then you could be saving.
Target put out 0.50/1 Bounty paper towels and Bounty put out 0.25/1. Target has the Bounty Basic for 0.99 for 1. I paid 0.24 for each roll :) when I paired the 2 q together.
