Kraft Cheese Catalina - .20 / block WYB 5

I stumbled upon this last night. Kroger has Kraft cheese small blocks & bagged on sale at $1.24 each, or $4.96 when you buy 5 or more. I bought 5 blocks and paid $4.96 and then to my surprise...a $4.00 catalina printed. So that's .96 for 5 blocks of cheese or about .20 each! wahoo!

The Catalina reads "save $4.00 on your next shopping order. Thank you from Kraft Natural Cheese."

I thought it may be too good to be true so I did it again and used the Catalina and another one printed. I don't know what the exact promo is - couldn't find it on this forum, so maybe someone can clue us in?

So funny to come on here and see you had posted. I'm off right now to Kroger. Good thing we live on the opposite side of town so there is still some cheese left :giggle2:

The deal gets better when used with the .50/1 for the 2% (which is what I buy and it's usually on sale) tearpad coupons I found at my Kroger a couple of times in the past month. They were right in front of the cheese. So glad I got a few everytime I was in there. I love FREE cheese and a money maker at that! YEAH!!!:BigHand:

How do the catalinas work? If I buy 10 would I get 2 catalinas or does it have to be sep. orders? TIA

No youd have to do 5 and 5, its buy 5 get $4 oyno
If you buy 3 or 4 you will get a smaller cat, all the cat info is in the cat forum.
But it maxes out at 5 sp if you buy 5, 6, 10 100 you will only get $4 so best to break it up in 5s.

Also, Im pretty sure the cheese is only .99 each when you buy 5 not when you buy 5 or more. Because it comes up as 1.24 each x 5 then the 5th one comes off as Free. Buy 4 get 1 free = .99 each. And my ad says .99 each when 5 are purchased lesser or greater qtys will be 1.24
But to maximize the cat and sale Ive only been doing 5 at a time anyway so not sure.

With the .50/1 Ive been paying .03 sales tax for 5 bags and getting back a $4 cat.

Crossing my fingers they dont get wiped out (or they restock) before Friday when I go to the store again.

Just got my MM cheese today too. 5 bags @ .99/ea; 5 q's @.50/ea doubled = free and then a $4 cat on top of that!!! A $4 MM with tons of cheese to freeze (I think I need a new deep freezer)!!

Thanks!! I wish I had the q's but no tearpads in sight at my Kroger. It is still a good deal for me though. I figured I would get 20 bags of shredded and it would cost me 6.84 altogether(doing 4 transactions) with still having a $4 cat to spend so net, 2 something. But in the end about .14 each bag. I've been buying a ton of the shredded since I use is all the time and it freezes well.
Then today I went to three stores and got only blocks so we can have them in the fridge for crackers and cheese parties galore.
These don't freeze well unless you don't care if they come out crumbly. So I bought ones with at least a Nov. date.
Then I was blessed at the last store and found a ton with Jan. 2010 on them. My friends will be getting gift baskets full of cheese, crackers, free choclate and other food goodies this christmas Yeah. Between this and swagbuck gift cards I'm almost set.

I went to day and bought 10 after $5/10 deal, my total was $5.17 for 10, and i got a $4.00 catalina.
