I found the following at the FM website (affiliate/owned stores), and am going to start watching for posts from all of these stores since they are all owned by Fred Meyers and deals may be the same or close to it:

Does FM pay overages on coupon as their policy in general or is it YMMV?

Hi ezzie65, not ignoring you-promise ! FM is a bit of a slow area on the board but can be a hot place for deals once in a while. To answer your question, its a YMMV thing at FM.

He left a message on my machine, told me they "absolutely" pay overages and apologized for the inconvienience.
Are saying this is corporate policy????? If so lets try to get that in writing . E-mail, snail mail, pony express, whatever that would be great to have.:RockOn::RockOn:

Mine will take IP's, but it may depend on your store, as every store can enforce different policies for their particular store....HTH!

In the OP it says FM doesn't accept competitor's coupons but I just asked CS this week about that (since I had heard rumors about people being able to use them without problems) and sure enough, they accept them! Not sure if this is just our local stores or a corporate thing. They said they accept any competitor coupon as long as it is the exact same item. Now I'm wondering if it would be 'pushing it' if i tried to use Target IPs there :)

I'm unsure of this one as I know that FM does not generally take any type of competitor coupon, although I have heard a member or two mentioning that they will take one competitor coupon, not sure if this would apply to pharmacy though....:shrug7:

I have a question on the Fred Meyer rewards program. When it started a couple of years ago I wasn't going to sign up because I don't do my weekly grocery shopping there so would probably never spend $500 in a quarter to get the rebate. The checker told me to sign up anyway, because I would still get good coupons in the mail. I have never received any mail from FM.
Today my mom was giving me FM coupons for $3 off a $3 purchase, $2 off a $2 purchase, etc. She said she gets them in the mail from FM. She also says she rarely spend the $500/qtr there either.
I went online with my rewards account and my address is correct. Does anyone else, who is on the Rewards program AND doesn't earn the 500 points per quarter, ever get these coupons?
Thank you

They changed it a while back, to one point for every dollar you spend. For every $100 you spend each quarter, you earn $1. We just got ours in the mail from last quarter, and we got a $3, a $4, and a $2.50 (not sure on this one, but I'll take the extra .50!) I had a little over 900 points. They break it up by months, so the first month I spend over $300, the second I spend over $400, and the last I spent a little over $200. So the $3 was for the first month, the $4 was from the second month, and the $2.50 was from the last month. I hope this makes sense, LMK if I'm not explaining this clearly. Hope it helped!

Yes you can use a Manufacturer with their store coupons. But not with the goldenrod colored ones they have hanging around the store. Those are also manufacturer ones.

I have a question.....is there a coupon policy to look at? I was a freddys today, they have there dawn diswashing soap on BOGO, I had two coupons, the registered beeped:rolleyes24:-which was a downer, then he decided I couldn't use a coupon on the free one....which case in point....YMMV??? I was so depressed, don't know if I should call the customer service number and ask or justlet it be-I was really looking forward to getting some dawn renewel free with the 1.50 coupons.....anybody have an answer for little ole me?? TIA!:wavehi:

Yeah, that would be a YMMV thing. At my Fred's, bogo's ring up as full price, then it subtracts one off. If you had a bogo coupon for the items, you "should" be able to use it to get both "free", but also a YMMV. I, myself, have never tried doing that one. Some cashiers will push it through, some won't.

I rarely earn the 500 points - only once I think. I seem to recall getting coupons along with my Reward. I don't recall ever getting coupons just for being in the FM Rewards program.

confused newbie with question re: catalinas :-)
I see in the catalina subforum a link to Giant Eagle's list of monthly catalinas (in the thread "December Monthly OYNOs x12/26/09")
Does this mean Fred Meyer stores issue the same catalinas as Giant Eagle stores?
iwik
12-27-2009, 03:25:17 PM
Many of them are the same from chain to chain but there are usually some differences. Since Fred Meyer doesn't put shelf tags up for these like some stores do (Safeway and QFC do), we have to guess and try them to confirm. The Giant Eagle list is a place to start, if they work, we can post that so other people can know that. Or if you see one tagged at Safeway and QFC, it might work at Fred Meyer. The Fred Meyer ones seem to be on a slightly different schedule than the ones at Safeway and Albertsons, probably because their ad periods are different.

How does the coupon exchange work? Mine has a basket right when you walk in full of catalinas people toss in. Should I just stand there and sort through or should I take a handful and just hope I got something good (it's usally pretty full)? Not sure what the correct "etiquette" is :)
iwik

I sort through them, some people throw their trash, receipts and lottery tickets in there too. I generally remove the obvious trash to reduce the clutter and add coupons I'm not going to use (for me that's pet and baby stuff). If it's usually full no one much is using it so there should be some good stuff in there :)
