My mom is retired in rural N.C. and her ONLY grocery store in Food Lion.
Id like to send her coupons on a weekly basis to max out the sales so she can do a little better on her income (shes raising a teenage grandchild).

Ive noticed people posting sales for different states, especially FL. Im assuming the sales differ widely? Would I be better off checking the sales flyer on the website for accurate sales?

What day of the week does FL sales start?
Do they have a cpn max?
Do they take IP?

TIA

Arica

:wavehi: I always check the sales ad on FL's website for my area. The new sales start every Wednesday. You can check HCW for ads posted in advanced. I am not sure if all FLs take IP. I know most do. Someone else may be able to answer that question. They take up to two like coupons. HTH

The official policy is that they do take IPs but many people have reported having problems. You should make sure she is signed up (or you can sign up if she is not able to print for herself) for the weekly email and coupons. Folks are also kind enough to share them on here - sometimes there are some great deals to be had using these FLIPs (Food Lion IPs).

Feel free to PM me with any FL related questions - I am glad to help!

My FL do not have a limit on the number of coupons or like coupons that you can use at a time. I think 20 was the most of a single coupon I used at a time and the cashier had no problems taking it. There are some cashiers that like to make up their own rules but I guess that is something that you have to watch out for everywhere.

FL is my main store since I have 6 within a 5 mile radius of my house and any other grocery store is outside of that 5 mile radius. So there are a lot of good deals to be had at FL.

My best deals at FL are with the FLIPs....I am not sure I would go very often if it weren't for these....so make sure your Mom is signed up!

Yes, I can I recall different reports from my mom regarding the number of coupons she used depending on which cashier she went to. I sent her a bunch of Mentos one time and she said cashier #1 would only accept one while another cashier accepted the entire stack with no prob..

Wow do you live in Windsor, NC also? It boggles my mind that someone wouldnt open another grocery store for competition. Therefore, FL prices are out of control, I couldnt believe it when I was visiting 1.99lb for apples?!

Are the advanced ads pretty accurate, say, if its an ad from MD?

I am not from Windsor, I am from Winston-Salem, NC. We have other grocery stores they just aren't as close to my house. FL has the lowest shelf prices of all the other grocery stores in my area.

The advanced ads are pretty accurate. katncaed has been posting them in advance here lately and he is in NC too and his ad is usually just like mine even though he is on the other side of the state. As far as ads from other locations, the only thing that may be different is the prices of meat and produce. The same items will be on sale but the prices might be a little higher or lower.
