Looking for some guidance here. I'm doing the Newcastle $10/$15 cheese and/or snacks MIR in a NBPR state.

Do you use the original price of the cheese or the sale price?
What about coupons used? Ie, the overall total of the receipt is less ($8) than the amount of the purchase requirement of cheese (ie $15) -- is that still ok?

TIA!

If I am buying something for a rebate that I am going to use coupons on, I "hide" it in a larger grocery purchase, so it is not obvious that I have paid less than the rebate requirements. Also, the price on your receipt is the price you circle for the rebate--so probably the sale price is what would qualify. HTH!

I do the same thing, hide the coupons.

thanks for all of the replies about coupons. i do the same thing and usually just "hide" them in a larger purchase.

does anyone know if i should only use the sale price of an item to calculate the total purchase or can you use the regular price?

ie, kraft cheese is regularly $3.29 but was on sale that week for $1.47. i bought 5 (to do the catalina of course) so 5*$3.29 got me above the $15 requirement but 5*$1.47 does not.

HT's CRT looks like this:

Kraft Cheese 3.29
SC VIC Kraft Cheddar 1.82-
Kraft Cheese 3.29
SC VIC Kraft Cheddar 1.82-
etc

so the sale price isn't itself shown.

what do you think? TIA!

My guess is that since the discount is right under the regular price, they would probably look at that. Winn Dixie's receipts do the same thing, and I always use the sale price just to be safe.

Does anyone know what retailer this was available at? I got mine in a trade. Does it really matter what is filled in?
