Info on Hormel Cure 81 Rebate from Easter

Just got this info back today via email:


Dear Ms. Hoffman,
Our apologies for the delay of your rebate. There was a problem in processing that caused a back-up of outgoing rebates. As a result, all consumers are receiving rebates later than expected. There was also a misprint for the telephone number - we are not sure how this happened as we did not handle the printing. We ask that you forward your full mailing address and we will be sure your rebate is processed. Please allow a 3-4 more weeks.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

I finally got fed up and called Hormel directly. The person I spoke with was very nice and agreed that the wait was becoming ridiculous. Especially because the processing center absolutely promised me that I would have a check in my hands by the end of August! She went ahead and said she would cut me a check from Hormel's end as a goodwill gesture. That was on Wednesday and I only live about 60 miles away from the Hormel headquarters, so it should be here by next week (fingers crossed). If I get a check from the processing company as well (which, at this point, I doubt) I told her I would be happy to just shred it.

I have only received these after calling, and they sent handwritten checks!

I called 845 486-9000 , they asked me to fax a copy of the rebate, and a week later I got a handwritten check for $10.

I received a $10 check for the cure 81 rebate today. I have given up on this one since it has been over a year after a couple of calling and being told it's coming. Glad it finally came.
