In UT they are saying that the new corporate policy is that you can not use a doubler and an in-ad coupon on the same item. They are both store coupons, so the doubler deal would not work here. Course they wouldn't work here any way cause we got .40 Skippy and $1 Breyers coupons. BOO! :rolleyes24: Still a good price without the doubler though.

Max Value on those coupons is $4.50 and reg price around here $5.29-$5.49. Still a good deal even if you do end up having to pay the difference and you can combine the free store buns WYB 2 OM Hot Dogs tearpad.

Glad to hear Tuna is still on. My store will not give rain checks on it or give out coupons unless you have tuna in hand. I have not seen one pack of tuna on the shelf, a single taco shell on the shelf w/coupon or a single pasta salad w/coupon in the store.
Thanks to TheWoman for letting me know her store had some pasta salad and taco shells w/coupons I was able to pick up some of each.
I will try to talk to the manager about ordering some tuna today.

Its funny about so many people only being brand-loyal about peanut butter. I am the same way, except I am brand loyal to Jif, which stinks because I rarely ever find a decent sale on it and I've never seen a Q for it. I bought Skippy once and my kiddos wouldn't eat it.

This was from a Sunday paper and I don't know what page it was. I honestly thought it must be the Epic Savings event they were talking about but it had no real information. It just said something like "Coming this summer at Albertsons." As I said, no real specifics so I just disregarded it.

Mine was in the RedPlum this past Sunday. It says-
IT'S BIG!
It's exciting!
It's happening at your Albertsons this SUMMER!
Then it has Joe Albertson down at the bottom with a quote "When I started the first store in 1939 I didn't dream we'd go this far..."
That's it. When I got it that day, I flipped the page back and forth trying to figure WTH they were talking about and there is nothing else. Hope those little birdies are right.

I'll be thrilled if there are doublers in this Sunday's paper- But I don't know if I want to wait that long to go shopping. Especially since they not supose to be writing RC's for the M&M items. My store sold out of things quickly- by mid Friday. I think I might just have to get what my family needs Thursday (when my Q's come) and then go again Monday and see whats still left. I was so determined to wait for the doublers with the last ad that nothing was left that I wanted. Most of it is still on sale but it doesn't do any good if they are still sold out! LOL!

I am guessing that if all the little tweety's are right, that the big day of unlimited doublers will probably be a test of the automatic doubling system. Albertson's sister store Shaw's (and many others) automatically double via they register. This is why many people in different areas ask if barcodes start with a 5 or a 9. A 5 indicates that it will automatically double, 9 indicates no auto doubling.
On the Oscar Mayer hot dog issue. Am I the only one who is drowning in Free hot dogs from last week. OM was on sale for .99, use $1/2 insert coupon doubled for Free hot dogs. Then got free buns with TP coupon. Hope nobody pays even .50 for them. They should be free at most stores. Safeway, Albies, etc. With couponing and doubles..... I guess unless you have a hot dog emergency

To take it one step further, does anyone know if "any bread" would include hot dog buns? What I'm hoping to do is buy 6 skippy pb, get 3 sara lee hot dog buns free. Alrighty, I am stumped on the Skippy pb naturals catalina. I went to one store and bought two jars. Out spat a $1/2 Skippy Naturals coupon and a $1 oyno catalina. I went to another store and bought 4 jars, using the $1/2 Skippy Natural coupon, the $1 oyno catalina, and another $1/2 Skippy Natural coupon. (prints after scanning the first pb & my new favorite checker pulled it off and scanned it immediately!)
Here's where I'm stumped... no new $1 oyno's! I figured I should get 2 but instead I got none.
Could it be:
1. The catalina simply doesn't roll?
2. The catalina is set up so sensitive that wyb 4 it doesn't print?

Today I did 3 transactions, all of them the same...
Skippy's Natural Peanut Butter x 2 = $1.98
All 3 times a $1OYNO and a $1/2 cat printed.
I'm going to go in on Sunday and get...
Skippy's Naturals x 6 = $5.94
3- $1/2 cats = $3.00
2- $1OYNO cats = $2.00
_________________________
= $ .94 OOP, get $3OYNO
Ends up $2.88 for 12 jars or $.24/each. My boys don't like Skippy (they haven't tried the Naturals, though; I don't know if it tastes any different?), but I have a big family and several of my family members are having a hard time financially right now, so I'm going to be "donating" it to them.

Now- is there anyone still in need of tuna? I had made a large order at this same store for tuna. I made a big boo-boo and, long story short, am not able to pick up most of it. If anyone is interested, please pm me.
Update: The store said they'd hold the tuna for a buyer but they went ahead and sold it all. They've finally caught on, though, because they have more coming in all week.

I also tried the skippy deal, but it didn't print the $1/2 coupon (but it did print the $1 oyno). Is this a cat mistake that I can call Catalina about (would it really do any good?). I figure the price is still good for the PB, but was hoping to use a coupon and get a bit more. But w/o a coupon I won't stock up too much.

(Albies must not teach new cashiers the proper way to ring up RC items- they never know!) So I did all 6 of my orders, one after the other. But in 2 of them, she forgot to scan the Breyers in-ad coupon 4 times for each one I bought. Is this something new? I don't remember having to scan it for each item you got- I thought the register would know how many times it needed to come of. I just must be used to using limit 1 coupons! So I need to have those receipts fixed. I thought the sneak peek had the Breyers for $1.88? Our ad is $1.99??? They are still over $6 here so I won't complain- $.49 ice cream!!!
All in all, a great shopping trip! I managed to get a RC for the tuna so I'll order that today. I wish I could get my hands on 20 more coupons!!!
Hope everyone had a safe 4th of July! We need to go clean up the street!

I'm not sure if this is where to post it, but I found 3 doublers in the Logan Hearld Journal here in Utah. They were hidden though! I found them printed inside the C section of the newspaper. HTH someone who might not see theirs! Always look through each page of the paper, because apparently they like to hide them sometimes!

No - you'd think the computers could figure that out, but the cashier does have to scan the in-ad coupon once for each item. I've gotten shorted on those a few times, too. :rolleyes24:

I've read of it confirmed in Utah and Idaho but I have been hesitant to try it yet myself. I will probably wait until Monday (I don't shop on Sundays) to try it with doubles.
If it is happening, my scenario would be as follows:
*2 pk Honey Maid Graham crackers, 2 6pk Hershey's chocolate, 2 Marshmallows for 14.00.
*Automatic savings of 6.00 for promo.
*Use 2 $1/1 on Graham crackers wyb the other two (-2).
*Use 1 save $1 wyb 2 hershey chocolate bar 6 packs (-1) .
*Use 3 doublers. (-3)
Total OOP: $2
I did this scenario today and it worked like a charm. I also used a $2 survey savings on it, so it was all FREE. (in western, wa)

3 Corn Flakes Touch of Honey 3 for $5 (you must buy 3 to get this price)
$3 worth of fruit
Total $8
Used 3 save on $1 fruit wyb 1 Corn Flakes Touch of Honey (peelie on the boxes) (-$3)
Used 3 doublers (-$3)
Total $2

Can someone please post when the tuna is back in stock? My Albies was out, they said the manu didnt have any. They gave me a rc though, for .75 a can, so that works out great for coupons (they gave me 10 of them). But isnt there a cat going on also? The CS gal said that the cat wont print if using a rc.
Do you know if there is a cat printing on the tuna? If there is, does it matter whether you buy cans or pouches? Thanks.

Doublers in Montana! Did the S'mores deal, found blinkies for Mission tortillas that gave an OK price with doublers, free Kraft salad dressing, 6 jars of PB with $.40 printables (although the cashier and new lead checker balked at taking them!), and two Breyers ice creams. Both stores are out of tuna again.

Oh my goodness I finally had some good luck at my Albertsons. Sheesh. The last two time I went both stores were out of the 'good' stuff (tuna/peanut butter).
I did three orders - doublers are in both the Olympian and the Tacoma New Tribune.
First order was the largest.
24 Tuna Fish pouches (7 x $1.50/3)
5 Crystal Light 12 Qt (5 x $2/1)
5 Wheat Thins boxes (5 x $2/1 wyb Crystal Light)
6 Skippy Peanut Butter (just 1 Q for $0.40 which I had them double)
2 Ragu Sweet Basil (2 x $0.60 then doubled)
I got:
5 x $1 Cats for the tuna fish x. 7/19
1 x $2.50/7 cat Starkist pouches cat x. 9/27
1 x $2 WYB $10 meat purchase cat x. 7/12
1 FREE Bakery cookies cat x. 7/12
1 FREE Bakery Bread cat x. 7/12
Yeehaw! He just kept handing me cats.
I also got a survey invite that I finished for $2 off my next purchase!
Total for my first order was $15.72. :BigHand:
Second order:
6 Nesquick Chocolate Milks - FREE after Qs and doublers
2 McCormick Seasonings
Total for second order $2.
Third order wasn't very exciting but I wanted to take advantage of the doublers while I was there.
2 x Jennie O lean ground Turkey on sale $3.99 - $1 x 2 dbled. Total purchase $3.98.
I had an absolute blast and only spent $21.xx for lots of needed groceries - minus at least $7 OYNO Qs.
Can I use all the $1 OYNO Qs in the same order together?

Newbie question here--do I have to buy 2 at a time or can I get all 6 jars in one transaction for the cats to print? I only have 1 q for the .99 peanut butter but am going in to town today and can get 1 more q from MIL.

I tried to use bogo q's for Easy Mac today. And they only took .50 cents off (the price each after the promo) instead of $1 off. I called customer service later when I realized and she said that's what they are suppossed to do. I just don't think it's right. My transaction should have been $1.50 cheaper. I was trying to get 6 easy macs, 3 CapriSun Sunrise, and one bottle of Purex. Used 3 $1 off CapriSun, 3 bogo for Easy Mac, and a .50 cents off q for the Purex. Should have been .58 cents total. Throws off all my other plans I was planning.

Totally OT, but - Are you still finding GF papers out where you are? For the last 2 weeks I've looked all over town, and nothing! They took down the rack at Walmart, put Missoulian stickers over the old GF Tribune stickers on the shelf at both Safeways. Even Barnes & Noble doesn't carry it! I wonder if it's some kind of cost-cutting thing, or if the Missoulian wants a monopoly. It burns me up because they haven't had Red Plum or P&G inserts in them since the beginning of the year and they're more expensive than the GF paper. :hot3:

I used $1/2 Breyers IP (in database) doubled and $3/4 cat and got the free movie ticket :) couuld be better, but we needed popsicles and my kids love those ice cream cones. And when I say kids, I mean hub too.

I did the Breyer's deal yesterday like this-
15.00 6 Breyers @ 2.50
-2.04 .51 off first 4 w/store coupon
-4.00 4 $1 Breyers insert coupons (this is all I had)
-1.00 1 $1/2 Breyers printable
=7.96 and get 1 movie ticket
I was using my doublers on the Smore's deal so I did not have one to use on this but if you did you could double the coupons that apply to the Breyer's that you did not use the .51 store coupon on.
Tickets are about $7 around here so that is like 1 movie and I paid .96 for 6 icecreams. Too bad I don't have more coupons.

I posted about this on the next week's thread because we were talking about back-to-school sales but thought I should post it here too since we are not sure if Kelloggs will still be on sale next week in the Epic Event. Here is a rebate on Kelloggs items (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/gimme-my-money-back/257010-kelloggs-fuel-school-10-rebate-2009-download-form.html). Has to be all on one receipt so if you can get there today and buy them while they are for sure on sale you can do the rebate.
Kellogg's buy 10 get $10 mail in rebate is back this year with an additonal $70 coupon code for Dell Computers. you can download the form at Kelloggs.com.
It goes through 9/30 though so I am sure there will be another Kelloggs deal before then if you don't make it today.

Someone may have already posted this, so sorry - is the Skippy Naturals Chunky variety triggering the cat? I got all creamy the first time and that worked. Thanks!

This is what was posted on PYP-
Spend $15, in 1 transaction, on select Breyer's ice cream, Klondike, Popsicle and Good Humor, get a catalina for a free movie ticket catalina code (emoviecash.com - up to $12/ticket)
At my store there were signs under the Breyer's showing what was qualifying so hopefully your store will have them as well.
PYP got the UPC list for next week and several items have dropped off of the promo including the tuna so today is the last day for the .75 price. I think it is listed at 3/4.00 in the next ad with the free chips wyb.

It worked for me! Yesterday I got 3 creamy and 1 chunky. Today I got 2 chunky because there was no creamy left. Oh and I used self checkout, along with all of my other stuff and it printed the $1/2 Skippy Naturals and the $1 OYNO!
Now, my question is, are the Kraft Easy Mac Cups part of the Epic deal? I'm pretty sure there was a M & M sign under them. What about the Velveeta Cups? I got 20 items and it only took off $5.
I bought:
4 Mac & Cheese
2 Deluxe Mac & Cheese
2 Velveeta
2 Snapple
6 Tuna
2 Easy Mac Cups
2 Velveeta Cups
= 20 items
Am I missing something?
Oh and this time I only got $1 OYNO from Kraft vs the $2 I got yesterday.

I'm fairly certain the Velveeta Cups that are $1.29 ea are NOT part of the M&M. The Easy Mac cups that are 10/$10 ARE part of it.

If you look at the dates on the tags, the tuna deal ends 7/7 but the Easy Macs are on for 2 more weeks.
Yikes - thanks for pointing that out! I wondered about that when I was typing up next weeks hightlights. I'll run out tonight and see if I can score some more tuna.

Awe, shucks!
I saw a display over in the dairy dept that advertised them 10/$10 and had a pic of both on there. Too bad!

I was chatting with the stock lady about the chips sale and she said that although the price of the items may change from week to week, the items themselves don't. I'd be surprised if the tuna is no longer included. And I'll be very disappointed too. I wanted those chips!
And yes, I bought popsicles and got the movie ticket.

The machines were down. I had never had this happen before but called Catalina and they are sending 2 $1 oyno coupons.
Now, I can do so much damage with doubles. Can't wait!
Oh, I just had such a frustrating trip! First my cashier tells me that she can't take printables unless they're in color. HUH? Of course, I had a bunch of them, so then I had to wait in line at the CS counter behind everyone buying lottery tickets to get my money back. Turns out they're just supposed to look for the timestamp in the border of the coupon. Hello - each one has a unique number under the veri-fi thingy that's much easier to read than the microscopic printing on the border. :rolleyes24: And on top of that, her Catalina machine wasn't working, so I didn't get my $1 OYNO for Kraft mac & cheese or 3 $1 OYNO's for the Skippy. If they'd had the tuna in stock, I wouldn't have gotten the 2 $1 OYNOs for those, either. Grrr. I found the offer number for the kraft mac & cheese, but do you have the one for the Skippy? Did they even need the number when you called Catalina? So much for a 'quick trip' before supper...

Does anyone know if the smores sale where $3 comes off when you buy graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows is at all stores this week, or was it just certain stores? I didn't see any signs up at my store about it. Thanks.

I called for a missing catalina this week and they didn't need the offer number. They did have me read of the barcodes of the items I bought, so have those ready.

It seemed to be working at all Utah stores, but I don't know about other areas. There were no signs at my store about it, but there was a big display with the 3 items together. Worked fine for me even without the signs. Someone posted that the paper with the codes that they can enter if they don't come off automatically had that one on it so they should be able to do it if it doesn't work. As far as I know it ends tonight though.

It should not mess up the cats. When they do a raincheck they still scan each item and then just override the price.

I have had the opposite experience. I had a RC for one item that was part of the ConAgra CAT deal. It would not print with them manually changing the price.(I still met the min. purchase requirement though) So we tried it again ringing everything through, then taking off the price difference at the end in one chunk. The CAT printed fine.
My stores seem to do both these ways when ringing up RC items so if it doesn't work one way, try the other! Just watch the screen and make sure the free chips come off like they should with all the price changing going on! I have 120 ordered- should be in on Friday. I think I might have to order the 40 boxes of free chips as well! LOL!
PLUK how it goes though- I think lots of us are still waiting on orders!

I did the ice cream movie ticket deal last night. Here is how it went:
6 Breyers ice creams $15.00
-2 x $1.50/1 coupons
-4 x $1/1 coupons
-3 x $1 doublers
-4 x $.51 in-ad coupon
Total: $2.96 plus a free movie ticket! Worked like a charm!!!
I met a couponing gal toting a binder! But she is on a different site- so I referred here over here!!!

What a great week! Albies finally got tuna in so I bought 50 pouches. Free chocolate milk, salad dressing and coffee creamer. Tons of peanut butter. Free cereal, spaghetti sauce, BBQ sauce. My receipt was off by $5 because one of the $5 epic savings didn't show up, so I'll have to go back later today. It's so awesome! I've been admiring my stockpile cupboards all week. It feels good to be able to stock up again after going three months with no income.

I hope you got your chips too!!
Re my previous question about whether the raincheck would mess up the cats: I bought my 30 tuna today, got the chips free, and the cats printed fine. It was kind of a pain for the checker though. I was glad she had closed the line behind me (she was going to lunch) because she had to manually change the price of every darned pouch of tuna. But $1.50 for 30 pouches of tuna and 60 bags of chips made it worth waiting for!
