I had a snarky manager on Sunday.
I've done deals using multiple coupons with those Buy X# or $X and get $x off your next order bunches of times in the past with NO issues.
So I wanted to get ketchups and chef boy r ds with the spend $25 and get $10 off your next order (which I wanted to use on my second transaction).
I had 3 x $1/2 Hunt's ketchups + 3 x $1/4 Chef Boy R Ds and one other $0.35/3 chef cups. So my total off for the deal products was only $6.35.
I also bought a whole bunch of Extra gum BOGO since it was $1 each (so $.50 a pack...the Qs expired and work needed gum) so it looked like I got a total of $13 off using coupons with these and the other Qs.
The $10 cat didn't print after the transaction was over...I'd still spent more than $25 total and KNOW that I had exactly $25 of the participating items.
So the cashier called the manager guy over and he said it didn't print because I used coupons ... then he counted up ALL the coupons and said I got $13 off so I was only spending $12 on participating products and I'd only be paying $2 if he gave me the cat. (Totally not true since half the Qs were for the gum.)
WTH?!?!
I've never had this problem before...this Albertsons is usually the best one for Qs.
I politely, but strongly, told him that I've never had an issue before and it's not supposed to matter how many Qs I use. I've done similar deals when they've had doubles going on and paid even LESS and still gotten cats.
He had the cashier do another "fake" transaction (no Qs, obviously) and it printed.
So was I wrong??? I'm just trying to follow the rules as I've always followed them.
Is it because it was a cat, instead of the instant $ off? Those I've never had issues with.
