Hi ya'll,
I have a ton of coupons that I will never use (Its just me and the boyfriend in a small apartment and I don't have room for much of a stockpile).
I thought about selling them on e-bay, but the $ doesn't make it worth it.
I thought about trading here, but I realized I just don't have the time to do it! (Full time graduate student+have a job). Typing these up alone would take ages!
I looked for organizations that may take these to purchase food and other goods, or distribute them to those who need it. Can't find such thing...
So, I'm at a loss... what would you suggest?

You can always look at peoples wishlists and offer them the coupons you have. Or offer them on freecycle. I would love to help you rid yourself of some of them...lol
Just because it doesn't look like you have the room don't think you don't. Get creative with your stockpiles...

You don't need to type them up. Just offer potuck envies of x number of Q's for a certain price-- stamps, potlucks, certain Q's off your wishlist, concealed cash, BTFE, etc.

You can also send them off to overseas military. They can take expireds too but they'll take "fresh" ones if that's what you've got.

This is my personal experience:
Whenever I throw away q's that I do not think that I'll need- I end up finding a deal that makes them free or a mm or a hot trade. I'm serious- always! I get so aggravated at myself every time so that's why I remember those circumstances! :rolleyes24: My advice, keep them somewhere, stuffed in a baggie under the bed. Maybe I'm weird I have dug q's out of the trashcan if it makes it free or a mm!:whistle67:

I mean I have all these Q no time to post them all... no time to go thru them if someone needs them but dot mind giving them away.. but than again I did not see anyone asking for " I take all the coupons you wont use" LOL and I just don`t have the time to go thru them..LOL and I also have the expired once I will be sending to someone overseas but how do you locate the military families who will take them???? than again I cant list all the expired Q ....I have a LOT..

I bet if you took them to work and let people know you didn't want them, they would find a home quickly.

I would suggest posting them in the RAOK forum so they will go to good use. You will need to join the trader group in order to do that.

Not sure what thread you are talking about, but since you have a "trader in training" title I assume you want the RAOK. Here is the forum:

I really am wondering if their is something to do with "junk" coupons .I lable junk coupons as things like Pose pads ,joint juice, vitamins, and anything else you aren't allowed to place in the train forums.
I usually toss them ,but was wondering if their was something better to do with them .

I usually save them until they expire because sometimes they are a moneymaker, lol. So even if you don't use them "buy" them for free and donate them to someone who will use them.

You could do a ROAK with those Vitamin Q's (Sundown)(me-me-me-me):hysterical:. No but really you could do ROAK listing a specific group of Q's (vitamins, adult diaper, etc.) and see if anyone would like them. There are all types of couponers out here and I'm sure someone could use them. Or........you could throw them away, way for a MM deal on them, leave them at the store by the product, etc. Just trying to help.:wavehi:

Thansk for the tips I had thought about the RAOK but was unsure but I guess if people knew what q's they were then only those who are interested would respond .I may just do that

You can donate them to the local VFW or whoever takes expired coupons.

I pay attention to the people around me. I think Muscle Milk is a junk coupon but I saw a guy at my office who drinks it daily and gift him all my coupons.

I also keep my eyes peeled for people who may need the items I have coupons for. I have given coupons to complete strangers in stores. If they are buying the Poise or the Joint Juice, etc. and get a coupon from you, imagine what a great thing you have just done for that person!
Also, one never knows when you may need something. I never thought I would be using the Knox $6 coupons.....but....my mother started complaining about her joints, and....Walgreens had Knox on clearance. I bought it using my $6 coupon and gave it to her to try.
My favorite thing to do is keep all the coupons, wait for a money maker or other good sale (free is good), buy the product and donate it to homeless shelter, food pantry, womens shelter, etc. They are most appreciative of all the self care products, medicine, and even the unusual things.

I keep keep keep them!!!
The lesson I got to learn that was the $30 Bayer Meter Q's... I chucked them all, cuz I "knew" that I would NEVER use them.... 3 weeks later we had that $10 MM deal At Walgreens ...I was LIVID!!!!!
Lesson learned quick hard and fast!!!!

RAOKs, leaving them by the products, or buying things inexpensively/free are all good things to do! I also really like the idea of giving them to people around you who need them. I don't have kids, but I make sure my baby/kid qs get in the hands of my friends who do--and if I see good sales for those products, I tell them, too.
Do what works for you. :-D

I started a coupon swap box at my church. So, everyone brings the coupons they don't want, and then get to choose other coupons. Some people just bring in the entire inserts since they don't use coupons!!

I keep them and try to get things for free and donate to the food pantry.

I usually keep them in case I need them for a mm. but if I have a ton of them or they're getting close to the exp. date I "donate" them to the cosmetics counter at walgreens. At least some of them will get used then^_^
Or I get frustrated and throw them at my recycling bin lol.

Wow! I can't believe anyone would really throw coupons away! If they're something you don't use, are expired or close to expiring they can always just donate them or mail them to military families overseas. I can't use 99% of food coupons so I send them along with all my expired or unwanted and for an entire large mailing envelope it cost like $2.50. And that was to Japan I think. What might be a "junk" coupon to one person could be an awsome coupon to someone else.

I have 2 people I have met on this site that get my unused coupons.
1 gets my inserts after I cut out what I might use and the other gets my expireds.
I agree it 'hurts' when someone throws out the coupons.

Do you have a local friend who might trade with you? One person's junk is another's treasure and you can really help each other this way.
For those super short on time but still want to help someone else, some stores have a basket in the front of the store to leave extras for others or for you to choose coupons from.
Like another suggested, the military is good - they can use them up to 6 months after expiration date and they are very grateful to get them. If makes you feel good to help our military personnel and to mail them is no more than to mail in the US.

i quit my ebay store when the hike hurt me too much and now put those coupons on bonanzle. You can list them for free, the fee is hardly anything & you can take a money order or work out a trade. I keep coupon lots up there as freebies to entice people to buy my other stuff. You buy my paperback, you get which ever freebie listing I got up there you want. i love chatting to so the chat in the booth thing appeals to me a lot

I bet if you took them to work and let people know you didn't want them, they would find a home quickly.
I do this when I have q's that are going to be expiring within the week and I know that I won't use them or need them. You will be so surprised at how quick they will disappear. One of my male coworkers even went through them for his wife! (Boy does she have him trained well! :giggle2:) And he found q's for his favorite shave cream that he was needing soon.

I did that at Publix and it wasn't long before one of the employees was coming behind me picking them up and putting them in the trash! :hectic1:
One suggestion for the "Old People" q's, those can be donated to a retirement home.
