Hi. I don't normally post to this thread b/c we don't have a FL where I live. However, we are going to the outer banks soon and I know that they have one. Does anybody know if they are a 'corporate' FL - meaning, should the deals listed in the weekly thread pertain to that store also? I am trying to get a meal plan together and would like to purchase what is on sale if possible.
I don't have a FL card either. It looks like I might have to get one before I shop so that I can get discounts.
Does anybody have any information that could help me out?
Reps available!! :wink7:
Thanks in advance!

Check out the FL website www.foodlion.com (http://www.foodlion.com) and look under the weekly deals. You can put in the zip code for where you are going and see what is on sale in that area. You can go on Tuesday usually and see the sales starting on Wednesday. You will need to sign up for their FL card, not sure if you can do that on-line. Remember that FL doesn't usually double coupons, and there are FL coupons on the website.
Have fun!

Ah, thanks JLJ. I didn't think of that truthfully. I haven't been couponing in a time that I have left the area! lol Let me see where that takes me! What a bum they don't double coupns. That's ok though. We are going to try to take some of the non-perishables with us, so I should mostly need meat / dairy type items. And it is sometimes good to take time off of couponing!!!
Repping you now.

Depending on when you're leaving, it may be easier to just get the card in-store, whether you can sign up online or not. It's very quick and easy, just a standard form and they hand you the card.
You'll definitely want to check out the website for that area specifically, because chances are excellent that prices will be a lot higher there. Between the add'l shipping and high-tourist areas, stuff's at a premium.
Enjoy your vacation-it's a great spot.

Make sure you print this weeks FLIP's and next weeks too. There are usually free or cheap deals every week with those.
As for the Outer Banks prices, they usually don't follow the rest of the FL's. They are always much more expensive, probably because of the cost to ship the products out there. There is no fast way to get there no matter which part you go to.

Just a little FYI-
I go to visitob.com a few weeks before our trip (we're going July 12) and visit the message boards. There's usually some sort of useful info about various things (where to eat, weather, etc.)
Enjoy your trip!!

I went to the website and applied for the card. They gave me a temporary card to print - so even if it doesn't get here, that's one less thing to do. I also looked at the ad super briefly just to verify I could access it. I'll try to print out the FLIPs tomorrow.
Thank you all again. Such quick and polite responses! Repped you all!
