I had two orders that did not work and I calculated correctly based on bonus buy prices. There must have been a product or two that was not programed. It was a big waste of time and it was very upsetting. The asst "manager" could not even make a decision as to how to handle this??!! I finally refused each order and asked for all of my money back as they would not budge. They said that it was because I used coupons. I even used some ONYO coupons and they said that yes, that will bring your total down that you need to spend and that counts against the target amount you need to spend for the deal?? I then called CS and they confirmed that yes, it is after coupons and bonus buys. They were sure about this!! After all these years the ad still does not say after coupons for these deals?? There is no other store where coupons affect your total. I am assuming that you can use coupons and it will work. I guess I will have to go out of may way to another store and perhaps give this a try? Does anyone have any feedback or comments about this. I find Giant CS can be hit or miss.

yes you should be able to. It was on pre-coupon total last year I hoping it's the same here. I'll be breaking my A1 coupons up into 4 orders to bring my total OOP down as much as possible. I know my giant pa (martins) is different from most of you guys.

At my store, when it's a buy $$, get $, I have to buy $$ amount BEFORE coupons, but my total dollars spent must be more than $$. So for example, I have it calculated that I have to buy 40 bottles of bbq sauce ($9.75 after q's) to qualify for a ticket. But I have to spend an additional $30.25 for the ticket to print. I'm not sure why this is, but I have tested it on several occations.

Perhaps the deal really does work before coupons are deducted, but they do not really want to communicate this as a way of having people think that they need to spend more? I would hate to think that Giant personnel are giving out false information intentionally, since they are so sure that it is after coupons. I wonder if catalina CS would be able to confirm?

I do a LOT of cat deals at Giant Eagle, and q's never affect the outcome of the deal. The only question is usually whether the shelf or sale price is what will calculate towards your dollar total. And yes, mgmt at GE will always say the deals are based on sale price when 99% of the time the deals are based on shelf price, and sometimes they even say you don't get the cat because of q's. I will be really shocked if this deal is in anyway affected by q usage.

Yes, I guess we can wait and see. Perhaps it does really vary by store location? It really should not, but maybe that is why it is inconsistent.
Maybe when people report the outcome, they can list the store that they went to?

In the fine print (which is very blurry) it looks as though it reads:

Then a bunch of copyright info from Kraft, Pepsi and Hershey Park, yadda, yadda, yadda. Sorry if any of the info is incorrect as it is very difficult to read. I am sure that once one of us gets a cat it will be easier to read on that in case there are any corrections to be made.

Coupon usage is not mentioned what-so-ever, so it should print. I have had cats not print at Giant before and they have made them print at customer service. They have a book behind the counter that they keep in the pages from the cat deals in that has the codes that they can enter into the register to make them force print.

I am planning on doing the deal and donating the items that I am purchasing to get the tickets. The food bank is going to overwhelmed! Hubby is going to think that I've gone off the deep end. Lol.

My goal is to spend around $50 actual OOP for 4 tickets. Regular admission price (according to the HP site) is $51.95. I figure if I can get 4 tickets for the price of one, then I am doing great! Without the deal, there is no way we would be going due to the price of tickets for all of us. Thanks to the deal we can have a fun family outing. :)

My husband went also and got the wrong size Digiornio flatbread and the deal did not work...of course he was not able to figure out what the problem was. He went to customer service and they studied his reciept and told him it was because he used coupons and if went back and picked out something else to make up for the difference and they would print the voucher for him...so that deal was not as good as it could have been. I must teach him better...make SURE you pick out the correct sizes or they will tell you it's because you used coupons!

Be patient. People will post them, after they shop. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to wait towards the end of the week, too, to see what Qs are coming out, both online and off.

I would do them seperately. If you have them all on one bill, it will be much harder to straighten out at the service desk, should your vouchers not print. kwim?

I had problems tonight. I brought my calculator shopping with me. I had $42 and change of kraft items, then I had some other items. I asked the lady to subtotal right after my kraft items and it was $53, I guess that was before the discounts with my card. Anyhow, the ticket didn't print so I went up to the courtesy desk. We went over and over and over, comparing items to the receipt and circular (which I had already done) then she proceeded to add things up and told me that I was a few cents off, so she would give it to me anyhow. I wasn't a few cents off, I was a few dollars over. I checked it and rechecked it when I got home. Well, of course I had a coupon for everything and my total order wound up being $37.......

I just think I'm going to have problems trying to use 21 A1 coupons.

I did my deal and it worked great!
My oop was $10.60...this was with the q's I had on hand. I will be able to do better deals later in the week with the A1 q's (if there is any A1 left! - Please save me about 80 bottles LOL!)

Here's my deal:

I just went to my Giant and did 3 separate orders.

The first two I had no problems with (spent $41.04 and $41.03~~~ 32.03 OOP and 32.29 OOP)

the third order was $40.12 ( $27.40 OOP) and my voucher didn't print.

I have to go back after 8am when Customer Service opens, to see if they can print it for me.

The only thing I got on the last order that wasn't repeated on the first two were Ritz crackers and Wheat Thins, so I don't know if they are the issue or not.

Used 42 2/1 A1 and received 2 cats for a free one day admission.

I just got back from Giant. I bought some extra items and with all my coupons, my order was $36.....but the ticket printed! Ladies, if you are buying the kraft 5pack mac & cheese.......look for the coupon on the box!!!! At my store, the coupons are for a free bottle of ranch dressing when you buy this 5 pack, they have other ones on ebay for a free capri sun.

I got my first ticket tonight, but it was a bit of an ordeal. The Cracker Barrel cheese cuts that I bought rang up at the regular price instead of the sale price, and also didn't register for the deal. She tried to tell me that the "Whole Grain Wheat Thins" I bought were what caused the problem, because it just said "Wheat Thins" in the ad, but did print the voucher for me.

My total before coupons was $40.02, I had $15 in coupons, got the Kraft $4 OYNO cat, and got $5.31 back on my card for the pricing mistake with the Cracker Barrel (first on free, plus the difference on the price of the second). Not as great a deal as some of you, but I didn't have many Kraft printables left, and I usually only get one or two papers each week. I did get a lot of stuff though that I will serve at my DD's birthday party in a few weeks though.

I just got back from Giant. I bought some extra items and with all my coupons, my order was $36.....but the ticket printed! Ladies, if you are buying the kraft 5pack mac & cheese.......look for the coupon on the box!!!! At my store, the coupons are for a free bottle of ranch dressing when you buy this 5 pack, they have other ones on ebay for a free capri sun.

I bought a pack last night and even though I looked, I didn't look good enough......theres a coupon on there!!!!!

Kim, did you by chance by Cracker Barrel Cheees? Just asking because another poster mentioned below that there's didn't register. Also, please share w/ us what you got, so that we can figure out through the process of elimination, which product isn't working. Last year the Planters nuts caused problems.

I had no problems at my store in Bloomsburg, PA. I was able to get one coupon so far, and will be going back later in the week when my coupons arrive. I'm so worried about them not having the things I need.

They don't give out rainchecks on this kind of thing, do they?

Last year, they told that to a lot of people as a 'reason' why the 'cat' didn't print, when it was because the Planters weren't programmed into the computers. So that's why I try to get more than one opinion, from various areas.

I wonder if it's the Sour Cream causing the problems!? So be careful, if you buy the sour cream. If your voucher doesn't print, this could be why.

My first ticket cost me............................ .05!!!!!
I got 20 A1 marinades and used the $2 coupons and I got the .01 overage since they are only $1.99. And I threw in a .23 packet off Kool Aid to put me over the $40.
So the total was .05.

I have gotten 4 tickets so far and will post about the others later.

If your store doesn't have any stock, ask if you can prepay to get your ticket and then get the product when it comes in. I preordered 26 bottles with no problems at all. My friend even prepaid for 80 bottles!!!!!!
There may be another deal somewhere in the mix. My friend preordered and paid for 80 bottles of marinade and received 5 tickets, instead of the 4. She actually gave the 5th ticket back, but I told her to call back because if it printed I think she is entitled to it. Any thoughts on that??
They had already ripped the ticket up by the time she got back there though.
But it got me wondering if there is another deal where if you buy so much at a time, you get another ticket?????

The one thing I can think of that I got today that I didn't get the other day was the Country Time lemonade. No, you're right it says 8 qt on the tearpad, (just got it and looked). I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what the problem with my order was. I got the Digorno flatbread pizzas on that order too, and the 5 count mac & cheese. These are the only items I hadn't had in the previous orders that did print the cat.
I got the 2% cheese and Cracker Barrel on a previous order and it printed.
I also got the run around @ the service desk over coupon useage. I was told it shouldn't print if it's under $40 after coupons yada yada yada. I told them the ad says discounts not coupons and should specify manufacter's coupons if they're to be excluded. I got the cat printed for me, "this time only"

I went yesterday and bought 34 A1 marinades and 5 cheese and my tickets,kraft cat. did not print. I went to customer service and told them I did'nt get cat. or tickets. She did a return -rering on the cheese and then the cat. printed so I guess she figured I knew want I was talking about and she just reprinted 2 hershey tickets. I was so happy because I did'nt want to return- rering or try to explain that yes my total was only about 11.00 but before coupons it was over 80.00. I have to go back today to get 2 more tickets. They were out of the marniade and should have more today. So hopefully things go smoothly.
