Bandaids are b1g1 and you get a $25 GC for buying $50 worth. Use $1/1 Q.
Neutrogena cosmetics also included in that deal -- they are 40% off. Use $3/2.

Just pulling something out of mid-air here -- if whatever Neutrogena you get is normally $11, it will be on sale for 6.60. So you'll need 8 of them. Total will be $52.80. Coupons using $3/2 -$12 gives you a total OOP of $40.80. GC will be $25.
So you'd end up with $88 of cosmetics for $15 OOP. It's a good deal if you need cosmetics and this is your brand.

As far as the band-aids being BOGO, does anyone know what amount would count towards the $50 needed? Ex. If you bought 16 pks of Bandaids and got 8 of those free, would the cost of 16 count towards the $50, or the cost of 8? I'm assuming the cost of 8, but I thought I'd double check.
TIA! :)

Oy, I really need to start my full time job because I've been wanting to start back up at Rite Aid. The OOP in the beginning sucks though!

we will have to wait for the SCR booklet for that month to know. If BOTH the degree and dove have different SCR # then you can get the limit for each one, otherwise it would mean both products qualify for the SCR and you can mix and match them up to the SCR limit.

So what is the price of band-aids to do that deal?
Thanks!
I don't really know, but I know the regular price of small packs of bandaids is 3.29 at CVS. I figure RA would be in the same general area...

On the candy bars, the mq bogo from the blinkies are for single serve convenience bars- the smaller packs. I don't think they will work on this bogo.

The blinkies shoud work on this bogo as it is for the single serve candy bars (reatil .88), but you will end up paying something like .03 for each candy bar as the Q is only for a value of up to .85.
Also the blinkie expires on Sunday (if my memory serves me correctly...don't have it in front of me right now). So get in there on Sunday and get your chocolate fix!

Great call on the Stayfree which are B1G1 and with the B1G1 Q coming out on 6/28 SS they would be FREE (assuming your store allows this type of thing) and then to make the deal even sweeter...you buy $50 worth of product and get $25 back?!

I'm new to Rite-Aid and I have a question re: the Stayfree B1G1. Will Rite-Aid allow me to use 20 B1G1 coupons at one time?? Do they usually have stock? Not being greedy, perfect for donation to a women's shelter close by us that is always in desperate need of these!...

Your total towards SCR #61 (buy $50 Huggies products, get $25 GC) is $50.96. So you'll spend $32.96 OOP and get back a $25 GC, a $3 Caregiver's Rebate, and a free Huggies pack voucher (SCR #800), assuming you've already bought 1 pack before this week. So $4.96 + tax OOP.

Hi, I'm Betsy. I'm new here. :wavehi:
I took my second trip ever to a Rite Aid just now. The first was to switch my prescriptions there, which got me giftcards.
My purchases went a little something like this:
3 newspapers @ $1.50 each + tax =$4.92 on giftcard ( I already had one from home.)
Then I furiously clipped coupons from the papers I bought, right there in the store, because the cashier was super nice and said I could. And yes, I had brought my Fiskers on the trip in anticipation. :hysterical: I've never done that before.
Anyway, after the clippage, I did this:
8 packages Stayfree @ $3.99 each, BOGO
2 packages ob @ $4.99 each, BOGO
1 150 count baggies @ $2.99 (I needed some for packing lunches.)
ORIGINAL TOTAL = $25.93
-$5/$25 purchase coupon
-4 Stayfree BOGO coupons
-2 $1.50 off ob coupons
NEW TOTAL = $2.19 off giftcard
I am $29 shy of getting $50 purchase to get the $25 giftcard back, but I figure it's the very beginning of the month. I just wanted to see how this all worked, as I'm new to the system. I see from other posters that I was really lucky that the manager let me do the 2 free deal and just pay tax. I am planning to donate at least some of this to my neighborhood shelters. I tried to offer the cashier and manager some coupons, as they were so nice, but they said no thank you. I shook the cashier's hand and introduced myself. What a friendly lady! I was very fortunate.
Good luck to all of you today and this week!
Betsy

TERRIBLE trip to Rite Aid. I had 3 Stayfree BOGO coupons and I based my entire order on them. I got
-6 packages of Stayfree (11.97 for all 6)
-2 packages OB (4.99 for both)
-1 Rite Aid Extreme Toothbrush (1.00)
-1 Rite Aid Whitening mouth rinse (2.00)
-5 packages Mentoes Gum (5.00 for 5)
-2 packages Band Aids (4.49 for both)
total: 29.45
Coupons used:
-$5/$25 RA
-3.99 BOGO stayfree (x 3)
-1.00 Band Aids (x2)
-1.00 Mentos (x3)
-.55 Mentos (x2)
-1.00 Rite Aid Extreme Toothbrush
-1.00 Rite Aid Mouth Rinse
-1.50 OB (x2)
I was so excited about this trip. THEN, I go to the check out and the cashier AND the manager told me that you can't use BOGO coupons on BOGO items. I was so upset that I just bought the other items, did not (because I could not) use my $5/$25 coupon, and left the store. I don't know what to do. I think I will just return everything tomorrow, but I lost all my coupons that I used today. Ugh. Is it up to the manager whether they accept the coupons? Is there anything else I can do?

forgetmenot......sorry about your trip. I am currently in the process of trying to deal with Rite Aid. My RA has decided we can only use 2 like coupons (all coupons not just RA coupons) per day per family. I have YET to actually reach anyone that seems to know anything that is going on. I have left countless messages with promises that I will get a call on X day and then that day comes and goes with no call from RA. So then I decided to write them and got a response saying that I would hear something within 24-48hours. 5 days later I write them telling them I have yet to get a response and here is the email I got back:
Hello,
I see you did email our department on 6/22/09, but have no record of ever viewing it. Can you reply to this email explaining what the initial email pertained to? I do apologize.
Carrie
Customer Support
I'm hoping to get IN writing their current coupon policy, although at this rate.......I'm not holding much hope.

Ok...thoughts:
I'm going to assume 4.99 for the price of listerine. It was on sale for 3.79 a couple of weeks ago, so that's probably pretty close.
8 x stayfree: 15.96
2 x band aids: 4.99
listerine cool blue: 4.99
tax: 1.75, total: 27.69
-$5/25
-4 x stayfree BOGO (15.96)
-2 x $1/1 band aids
-$1/1 listerine IP
=3.73 OOP
Rinse and repeat. Earn a $25 GC, plus the $1 SCR for listerine. You could also sub more band aids for the listerine on trans 2 if you wanted, since the listerine is not on sale. It would lower the OOP by $1.

Thanks, rep'd ya! I don't think it's there anymore, unless I'm blind! I did check there before I posted and didn't notice it. Off to go check again...
ETA: Okay, it IS there! For some reason it didn't show up when I searched "dove" and "degree" but it did show up when I searched "clinical"...strange! Thanks again!!!

I'm not sure if I should be posting this here (please move it if it's in the incorrect spot). As I posted yesterday, the store I went to said I couldn't use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO item (Stayfree sale). Today, I called RA Customer Service and asked about this policy. The representative told me that RA's policy is that you cannot use BOGO coupons on BOGO sales. Has anyone else heard anything different? I am writing an e-mail to be sure because the Customer Service representative wasn't entirely sure.

When I first started couponing the RA policy was that you could use a BOGO on a BOGO
then they said no........I showed our district manager a letter from walgreens showing it was fine.........then they approved the BOGO on BOGO. All the sudden after 3 years of couponing at RA, EVERYTHING changed. I mentioned this before but I am currently in the process of trying to a written policy from them. I have not and will not give up. I called them today and the higher up guy (Dave) was in a meeting......this person is vice president of the regional division. Hopefully I will get something soon.

:shrug7:I swear these coupon policies can be maddening sometimes! My local store manager told me that it's up to the individual managers to decide whether or not they take BOGO coupons on BOGO sales. As the mod said earlier, it sounds like their coupon policy is not clear to their managers. How in the world is a customer supposed to know? KWIM?

About the Stayfree BOGO Qs -- couldn't we use it with sets of 3 purchases? In the end, you pay for one and get two free. Buy six, then you can also use the $2/2 to make their heads spin!!

A couple weeks ago my local RA let me use the BOGO Q on the candy bars during a BOGO sale. This week I tried to do the same thing and got rejected. It was the same clerk who let me do it last time and she told me that they *just* changed the policy and no more BOGO Q on a BOGO sale item.

Rite Aid is def. getting weird for sure. My store use to be my most favorite store! I thought our issue here was the new loss prevention manager but I have a feeling it even higher up. I'm going to try to use a BOGO stayfree today and see what happens. For 3 days straight they changed the rules here. First they said we could only use 10 like coupons per person. LITERALLY the next day, it was 10 like coupons per day, per FAMILY. The next day the store manager said it was down to 2 like coupons per day per family. It will be interesting to see what happens when I take my 2 BOGO stayfree coupons in there.

I have to agree RA is getting weird. Yesterday when I did my shopping there the cashier looked through all my coupons 10 times before she even rang anything up. She said she had to ask about IPs (none even close to $5 except the RA $5 off $25 coupon), then said I couldn't use more than one identical IP on the same order. Finally she just threw up her hands and rang them all up anyway. It was odd. I felt like I was under a microscope even as she was ringing me up. Sheesh! Might I add that my total was over $80 after coupons (all of that was for the Huggies buy 5 deal and other rebate items, but still...)?

TERRIBLE trip to Rite Aid. I had 3 Stayfree BOGO coupons and I based my entire order on them. I got
-6 packages of Stayfree (11.97 for all 6)
-2 packages OB (4.99 for both)
-1 Rite Aid Extreme Toothbrush (1.00)
-1 Rite Aid Whitening mouth rinse (2.00)
-5 packages Mentoes Gum (5.00 for 5)
-2 packages Band Aids (4.49 for both)
total: 29.45
Coupons used:
-$5/$25 RA
-3.99 BOGO stayfree (x 3)
-1.00 Band Aids (x2)
-1.00 Mentos (x3)
-.55 Mentos (x2)
-1.00 Rite Aid Extreme Toothbrush
-1.00 Rite Aid Mouth Rinse
-1.50 OB (x2)
I was so excited about this trip. THEN, I go to the check out and the cashier AND the manager told me that you can't use BOGO coupons on BOGO items. I was so upset that I just bought the other items, did not (because I could not) use my $5/$25 coupon, and left the store. I don't know what to do. I think I will just return everything tomorrow, but I lost all my coupons that I used today. Ugh. Is it up to the manager whether they accept the coupons? Is there anything else I can do?
In my neck of the woods, I can't use BOGO MQs with Rite Aid's BOGO sales either. However I can use 2 MQs on their BOGO sales (go figure).
I believe their policy is buy one get two. If you really want the stayfree pay for one and get two, and two ($ amount) will show up towards the $25 GC rebate. IMO a good deal but not great.
It takes awhile to figure out Rite Aids' bogus managers rules but it is a great place to shop for some deals.
This week I want the everpure but I will be buying a lot of OBs to donate and using RA 5/25 with a

Regarding the Stayfree BOGO issue, I was able to use the q to buy one and get three for free today at two different RA stores. I used two q's at each so, for each coupon I brought up four packages. Two rung up $3.99 and two rung up $0. I used my q to get $3.99 off so only paid $3.99 for all four. I combined with the wipes and the Dove Clinical to use the $5/$25. I got a total of 16 packages with four q's AND $31.92 towards my $50 J&J total.

I don't know what happened..I had 2 packs, the receipt showed one of the packs came up as 0.00..also showed - 3.99 for manufac. coupon so I guess the b1g1 coupon worked, but then it had this:
Stayfree 3.99
Stayfree 3.99
Stayfree 0.00
So WTH? Did she ring up 3 packs by mistake instead of two?
For everyone else buying the stayfree, does the coupon automatically take 1 off or does the cashier have to manually do it? Ugh, saving the rest of my coupons for the next cvs sale. Never any b1g1 issues there.
petergabrielfan
06-30-2009, 04:10:35 AM
My receipt shows one charge for $3.69 and then one right under it that came up automatically as $0.00 for the 2nd pack of Stayfree. Then down at the bottom of the receipt it shows the $3.69 "manuf coupon" amount coming off. With most "free" coupons used at any store the cashier has to key in the amount that you're getting for free. When I used my BOGO coupons yesterday the register beeped, prompting the cashier to enter that $3.69 was the amount of my free coupon. I hope that makes sense. The register will accept the coupon, but prompts the clerk to enter the price of the free item. It looks like you may have been charged twice but I'm not sure. I always try to watch the "BOGO savings" line at the bottom of the screen as the cashiers ring things up to make sure I'm being given the items for free because sometimes the receipts can be confusing.

I may be jinxing myself, but I was able to use several BOGO candy coupons yesterday as well as the BOGO Stayfree (or Carefree, whichever) coupons. The cashier even did a manager approval thing at the end of the transaction and he didn't even blink. I got four packs of pads and 16 candy bars for $1.40. It'll be my luck that if I try to do this again, it won't work.
is this the one that exp 6/30 ?
The J&J $3/2 blinkies I have expire 8/31/09.

I need diapers and rebate #61 says it is for Huggies snug and dry 34-60 ct. A size 6 box that is 19.99 is a 60 ct. The 7/12-7/18 ad shows the rebate with the larger bag of diapers that is usually priced 17.99 for a 40 ct on sale for 14.99 and qualifying for the #53 rebate for $2.00 off a mega pack and the #61 rebate for spend 50 get a $25 gift card. So my question is if I follow the wording and not the picture should I be able to buy 3 boxes at 19.99 and use my MQ's and get the $25.00 gift card. And is this the best deal? ANd if we are going by wording shouldn't the 3 boxes qualify towards the Huggies #800 rebate which also states snug and dry 26-60 ct? Should I call to verify first? Please let me know what you think, thanks so much!

According to CS, when I called yesterday about the b1g1 coupon & using it with the sale, she told me Rite-aid changed the policy back in March. She said they don't allow it anymore. But, as we can all tell, it's YMMV. 1 store let me, the other (which I always have problems with) wouldn't take them. Hopefully the 1st store will get more in stock.

I did the following, which I think would be easy for a newbie.
6 Stayfree = $3.99 x 3
Dove Clinical Protection = $6.99
Durex Condoms = $6.99
Wet Ones = $1.99
Use 5/25 Riteaid
Use 3 Stayfree BOGO
Use $2 Durex coupon
Total including tax = $9.39
Will get back $5 Dove SCR, $1 Wet Ones SCR and $3.99 Durex SCR.
I will say the manager was my cashier, so I was a little nervous as I handed over my 3 BOGO coupons. He mumbled under his breath something about how they weren't supposed to take these, but never said anything directly to me. I just looked at what my kids were pointing at, never said a word and acted totally confident. He did take my coupons and did not say anything to me directly about it not being allowed. Maybe he didn't want to argue with a lady buying maxipads and condoms!

http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/riteaid-eckerd-brooks/48-rite-aid-1-frequently-asked-questions-2-ask-questions-here.html
Do BOGO items count toward the SCR?
If the SCR says purchase X QUANTITY then YES the BOGO product will count toward the SCR.
If the SCR says purchase X DOLLARS worth then NO the BOGO will NOT contribute toward the SCR.
So for the stayfree deal if you buy 2 @3.99, only 3.99 will count toward the total.

There is a $4 Zyrtec weekly coupon that states "limit one per customer". If I buy 2 items, will it subtract the $4 twice (like Wags) or just once? Also, since it's a RA coupon, will I be able to use my $4 mfg cpn from a few weeks ago? Trying to figure out a Zyrtec run.

RA coupons do NOT work like wag's coupons. With RA you need one coupon for each one item.
Yes, RA coupons can be combined with MQ's.

My bank simply refuses eventhough I have called RA and they assure me that it is a check that can be cashed. My bank says that because it says on the check "use towards your purchase at any Rite aid" on the check that it is for use in the store ONLY! Great deal on diapers!!!!
Credit to Norgechica on Slick deals!
If you want supremes:
$11.49 Huggies jumbo
$11.49 Huggies jumbo
$2.50 (ish) Kleenex box
-$5/25 RAQ
-$2 MFQ
-$2 MFQ
= $16.48 + tax
$11.49 Huggies jumbo
$11.49 Huggies jumbo
$2.50 (ish) Kleenex box
-$5/25 RAQ
-$2 MFQ
-$2 MFQ
= $16.48 + tax
Your total towards SCR #61 (buy $50 Huggies products, get $25 GC) is $50.96. So you'll spend $32.96 OOP and get back a $25 GC, a $3 Caregiver's Rebate, and a free Huggies pack voucher (SCR #800), assuming you've already bought 1 pack before this week. So $4.96 + tax OOP.
Why are not more people talking about this deal?! Thank you so much LovesGreatDeals for posting this - otherwise I wouldn't have caught it. Over at SD there are so many scenarios, and I love HCW so much more ... it's a little disheartening to me when I have to go to other sites. =)
For those of you who are unfamiliar so far with this deal, the following info is important:
The Jumbo packs ARE qualifying, even though the diaper count is slightly lower than indicated in the SCR booklet (perhaps the booklet was created before they downsized packages?).
The Pure & Natural line IS qualifying, though not specified in the SCR booklet.
The diapers are NOT on sale.
You have the whole month of July to do this deal.
In short, we are combining the following:
$25 GC WYB $50 Kimberly-Clark products SCR

I have been trying to work out a scenerio for the diapers. I was confused since the SCR count was for megas. I may run out tonight and get some. Do you know if swim diapers are counting for the free huggies pack voucher?

am new here and I have a question... hope it is in the right place. Has anyone had a problem trying to cash a rebate check from Rite aid? My bank simply refuses eventhough I have called RA and they assure me that it is a check that can be cashed. My bank says that because it says on the check "use towards your purchase at any Rite aid" on the check that it is for use in the store ONLY! When I called RA they said that is an option but you can also cash it. I have a rather large one coming and would like to use it towards groceries. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
I have never tried cashing the check at Rite Aid-I always just deposit them in an ATM at my bank, and I've never had a problem. The rebate checks have a valid routing number printed along the bottom, so there is absolutely no reason why your bank should not cash or deposit them. I would keep following up with the bank...I think they need some re-education.

I pointed out to my bank teller on my second trip back to the bank that there was a valid routing number on the check and they only needed to scan it but they still refused. Another teller at the bank who had not even seen the check stood there and told me that it said "valid only at Rite aid on the check" when I pointed out to her that it did not say that on the check, she refused to even look at it!:loser3: I was so mad I just grabbed my stuff and walked out. When I went to RA they said I could spend it there but they couldn't cash it. I finally had to go to another RA in the next town and they let me purchase a Lowes gift card with it. The manager at that RA said "well they want you to spend it here but I guess I can do it this time" . Is saving money through rebates a crime why am I having such a difficult time here? Do all the checks have the sentence "use towards any purchase at Rite aid on them? Sorry this is so long but I needed to vent to people who get the whole coupon/rebate saving money thing. :confused58:Thanks

I would be inclined to call the bank's customer service 1-800 number if it is a bank that has branches. Another suggestion would be that when your check is refused by a teller, very calmly ask to speak to the manager of the branch or a head teller. These checks are valid and as another poster mentioned, they have routing numbers so there is no reason why a bank shouldn't be cashing them.

I agree, I would contact the bank and ask to speak with a manager, even if it is too late for you this time, so they know how you were treated and so the tellers will be trained to accept the checks.
I'm afraid I would have issues cashing mine at my bank, too, so I just take it to Rite Aid, and while they won't just cash it for me, I can buy anything (I've bought a $.25 piece of candy and paid with a $60 check). The til automatically shows that they owe you the difference.
Last time, the cashier did call the manager over to approve something, but the manager congratulated me on my big rebate check and said she wished she could do as well.
If Rite Aid refused to let you do this, I would ask for the manager right then and there and tell them, "Because Rite Aid chooses to mail these non-standard checks, my bank is giving me problems with cashing them. You need to either flat out cash my check or allow me to buy something and give me back my change."
Sorry you had so many problems! And I hope that Lowes gift card is something you actually wanted instead of something you settled for because you didn't know what else to do!

It is helpful to know that I should be able to cash it at my RA store. They would not let me last time so I am glad to be armed with that info for next time. As for my bank I spoke with the branch manager on the phone and she told me that the head cashier said that it could only be used at RA. I think next time I will tell them that I want to deposit it. It was so frustrating because I knew they were wrong. They were not even willing to ckeck into it. They also insisted that some of these rebate checks had been returned unpaid in the past. What was even more annoying was that the woman that I work with who went to school with some of the women at the bank (small town) had no problem cashing hers.

The next time I'd definitely make sure the branch manager sees the check because I doubt anyone could say it was "only good at RA" if they saw the check itself.

I can't say firsthand that they're working, because I haven't bought any, but according to reports on another site, yes they do count toward the Huggies Voucher.

I printed the $5/25 Rite aid coupon at *********.com last week. Now it's saying my print limit is reached. Is there another way to get another $5/25 for this week? or am I just out of luck?
The last one was thru Sunday and there was a new one Monday so that one should work.

Did you do this deal yet? Did your store actually have 20 of these in stock??
TERRIBLE trip to Rite Aid. I had 3 Stayfree BOGO coupons and I based my entire order on them.
Keep this in mind: do not feel obligated to purchase stuff you do not want!! If the deal doesn't work out the way you want, just tell the cashier nevermind and leave. Then you don't have to worry about paying too much OOP or figuring out what to do with the stuff. The cashier may get annoyed that you are cancelling your whole order, but they will get over it.

Couldn't use the BOGO, but did score a big moneymaker. The Doctor's Nightguard is still clearance 75% to $6.25. This month the rebate is $14. It's only the classic that is on clearance. The rebate went thru fine, got my credit already. Did it last month for a $10 rebate, this one is better.
Thanks for posting this! I just got one today and submitted the rebate. Reps to you!

I have seriously called them EVERY day. Today I even asked for someone higher than the regional VP, guess what........they put me through to the secretary for the regional VP (voice mail). I hung up the phone, dialed again and specifically stated that I did NOT want to be connected to the regional VP office and instead needed to talk to someone that could take of this issue that dates back past June 12th.......I told her how I got connected to the regional VP's secretary and how I did not want that.........guess what........she connected me the the regional VP's secretary's voice mail again.......I did leave a message. :rolleyes24:
I wish I was kidding. I have to find a different phone number and figure out a way to reach someone higher. :mad20::banghead:

Just got back from an 'attempt' at the stayfree deal - they didn't even have enough to do half - then I got home and realized that she forgot to ring up a set so now I am $3.99 short to boot - the funny thing is that she scanned the appropriate # of coupons - I wonder why it didn't flag that I hadn't supposedly purchased that many - this will definitely be hard to fix...they did, however give me a raincheck for 10 BOGO now do you think a store would consider it for a total of 20 - 10 BOGO sets - I'm hoping:) I traded for a bunch of coupons - planning to donate - jokes on me that NO stores have any:( I'm still hopeful for a run tomorrow morning!!!!

There's a Neutragena deal this week?
The deal is only for lip and eye products. It's 40% off and there are $3 coupons from the last three weeks. Sorry I can't remember any other coupon details. I purchased lip gloss $7.29 less 40% = $4.37 less $3 coupon = $1.37. And, $4.37 is applied to rebate. HTH!

I got a rain check for the exact same quantity:biggrin: Even if they were fully stocked, I don't think that they'd have 20 packs total:rolleyes24: But I am also gonna try to get 20 packs total, hopefully we are both successful!

Yet here is what they tell me in an email I got today:
When items are featured on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two
coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net
price does not go below zero for the item being purchased. The register will
automatically calculate any sales tax due on a zero sales transaction based
upon your state and local laws.

Do BOGO items count toward the SCR?
If the SCR says purchase X QUANTITY then YES the BOGO product will count toward the SCR.
If the SCR says purchase X DOLLARS worth then NO the BOGO will NOT contribute toward the SCR.
So for the stayfree deal if you buy 2 @3.99, only 3.99 will count toward the total.
yes,I can confirm that BOGO deal counted toward the SCR.

Just out of curiosity for all of you that got nightguards....if anyone has an extra they would be willing to sell, please contact me. None of the stores I checked had any of the clearance ones. I just cant shell out $20 (after the rebate) for one, but I desperately need one. I was so excited for this deal :(

Perhaps multiple rainchecks? Did you ask for a higher limit before he wrote the check? You could get a raincheck at a couple different stores rather than at just one store.

I did ask for a higher limit and he said no way and 2 was store policy...
Oh and talking about store policy, the first store I went to "were out of rainchecks". So I got 3 people busy trying to figure out how to write/print out a raincheck. I ended up with the current ad with the Stayfree circled and a "20" next to it and one of the guy's "sign" under it... wonder how that's gonna work. Somehow I have a feeling that they gonna laugh at me when I return...lol.
